Current Drawing pictures of my characters and mulling over backstories has to be one of the best (and more common) ways to avoid doing homework for me~

Bio

Konnichiwa, tomodachi ;3 You may call me Sephie, as most people do. I am indeed female, and I have a few years experience of roleplaying. I'm an artist, aiming for a professional career somewhere in art, so all of my OC's are a little...imaginative XD let's just say that I gotta draw my own pictures for almost all of them. I like a lot of detail. I'm also a writer at heart, so if I really let loose, some of my replies in a roleplay can get pretty lengthy. I'm a complete fantasy roleplayer, but I like things on the creepy, slightly violent, action-packed, and dramatic side. With some humor added in there too, of course. I love anime and manga, and I am currently learning Japanese through odd methods of self-teaching (mostly anime and vocaloid songs ^w^"). I love cats, and you're gonna see that a lot in my characters. One of my favorite animes is Soul Eater, closely followed by Elfen Lied and Higurashi. I love playing Pokemon as well, and I'm pretty good at it too. I spend most of my days drawing, listening to music, watching stuff on youtube and playing video games (when I'm not smothered in homework, that is.)

Maxie was about to disregard the creepy hotel and leave when she heard a noise, like a window opening. She turned and saw Taka leaning out of it, staring at her and directly addressing her. Maxie stood there for a moment, blinking at him. Though the feeling that had drawn her to the hotel in the first place got stronger upon seeing Taka, it only eased her awful social anxiety somewhat. She could still feel herself tense up, like usual, in reaction to being spoken to, and she was having trouble bringing herself to talk back, suddenly. Before she could spend 5 whole minutes in awkward silence planning her first move, however, her animals made their own first move.
Maxie was a bit dazed still when she heard the cats near her begin to yowl, and saw them running at the stranger in the open window. Now, they were easy to stop by hand, but the circle of angry birds forming near the roof of the place was not. A bit of panic gripped the girl, and before she could really asses her actions, she found herself reaching her hand forward.
"STOP." She talked louder in that moment than she probably ever had in her life. Now, a sane and logical person probably wouldn't think that just shouting stop at a mob of angry animals would work...but soon, Maxie found that all the animals were sitting, birds on the roof, cats by the window, and all of them just staring at her, waiting on more orders.
After seeing this, Maxie tried to play it cool, acting like she knew how to stop the animals the whole time, and slowly walked closer to Taka.
"....S-sorry...about that." She cleared her throat nervously. "So, uh...h-how's....how's it goin'?"

"I understand sir. I assure you that if Chessie knows what's good for him, he won't do anything worth killing him over. Killing him would be bad anyway. Because it'd kill a part of me. So...hopefully it won't come to that!" Persephone nods to Srg. She turns to Sarchesker. "Come on then! Let's stop bothering these people and go help beat up whatever is causing all that trouble outside."
"...Fair enough, I-GYAH!" Sarchesker jumps when he feels something strike him. He sees nothing when he looks, but he does shoot a glare at Michael, knowing he was probably responsible. He shakes it off, slips out of the cell, and follows Persephone and Michael out of the security office.
Persephone gives Michael an apologetic smile. "I know you're worried about me, but I'll be fine. I can handle Chessie." She assures him, then runs out of the hotel in front of him, Sarchesker on her heels.
She leads him outside, and for a bit, Sarchesker follows automatically. It's a little too late by the time he realizes Persephone has traveled in the opposite direction of the construct outside.
"...Persephone, what are you doing?" Sarchesker stops in his tracks. Persephone stops too, but her back is still to him. He opens his mouth again to call out to her, but in a flash, the words are knocked out of him by a sharp strike. He doesn't even know what's going on until a few seconds later, when his eyes and mind catch up.
Persephone stands on top of him, pinning him to the ground through the chest with her pencil sword.
"...You better not try that again." Persephone isn't smiling anymore, and her cheerful attitude seems to have left her. All that's left is a piercing stare and an eerily expressionless face. "You know what I'm capable of. You know to consequences for disobeying me."
"Tch...what, are you going to kill me? Your soul will suffer irreversible damage." Sarchesker hisses.
"No. I can't kill you. But...I can surely torture you." Persephone stares straight into the eyes of the spirit, unblinking. She can see him trying to hide the little bit of fear rising up, but his eyes betray him. "I've done it before, Sarchesker, to others. You know I have...you saw it all. That's why you left in the first place, isn't it?"
"..." Sarchesker doesn't answer, simply scowling at Persephone.
"...Maybe you'll stay this time. Try to 'save' other people from me...kinda like Rui did once. Of course...that didn't work out in her favor either, did it?" Persephone cocks her head to the side, a small, creepy smile playing at her lips.
"...L-look, we should get going. To, er...help the others with the flaming monster attacking the other side of the building." Sarchesker avoids giving an answer by changing the subject. Persephone laughs, and pulls her weapon away from him.
"Ahaha, you're right!" Her cheerful attitude and grin are back, as if nothing had just happened. She puts the pencil sword away, and replaces it with her multi-color pen weapon. "Can't just abandon our friends like that, can we? Onward!"
As she hurries off enthusiastically for the battle on the other side of the hotel, Sarchesker follows, but at a distance. He gazes upon her with disdain and unease...

Once Ruitsume gets close enough to the construct, she lets go of Kanashiko's hand. Ruitsume tries to dodge the pillars of fire coming her way, but when she gets a little singes by a stray fireball, she starts to get pissed. Her anger-based magic activates, and she aims a powered glare at one of the constructs legs, sending a decent crack up it. She stomps on the ground once, creating a minor tremor in the ground, and a thin chasm crack leading from her to the construct. If she stomps a several more times, it could widen enough for the contsruct to get caught.
Meanwhile, Kanashiko has, shock of all shocks, started to cry. However, unlike normal tears, hers quickly gather up in her hands, and before long, she wields a large sword made completely of witch tears. She follows Ruitsume on the battlefield, using her watery sword to help her evade anymore burns.
"HEY GUYSSS! I'M BACK!" Persephone runs in, pulling back the blue switch on her multi-color pen weapon. Sarchesker takes in the scene behind her.
"There you are!" Ruitsume growls, glancing back at her friend. "About time! What the hell took you so long?! We need help!"
"I know, I know! I'm sorry!" Persephone apologizes, though she giggles at the same time. She aims her big pen weapon at the construct, and with the blue switch put on, upon pressing the trigger on the clip of the pen (the part that would normally allow it to hang off of things), she fires out a short stream of ice.

"Righty-o! One Shadow-ing, coming up!" Amber grins at Karl, then pauses. "So...uhhh, Clancy...got any shadow venom left in ya?"
"What? I thought you just replenished yours! Didn't you get back your monthly supply a couple weeks ago?" Clancy asks.
"Well yeeeah...but remember when you took me to the circus the other week?" Amber replies.
"Yeeeah...we turned it into a horror show and attacked people. It was fun! Why do you bring that up?" Clancy tilts his head.
"...I wanted to see the effects of shadow venom on an elephant." Amber tells him. "...It was totally worth it, and I believe the shadow-phant still runs rampant to this day...but sadly, I am drained until next month."
"Ohhhh! Why didn't ya say so? That's fine! I got this!" Clancy snickers. He turns to Karl with a grin. "Now, this might hurt a bit, but just count to 5 and it'll be over! Well, the injection will. The turning process won't."
Without further ado, Clancy turns into a shadow snake, slithers up the chair Karl in in, and bites his neck with long fangs. After 5 seconds, he slithers back down the chair, and transforms back into his original form.
"Ta-daaaa! How do ya feel, buddy?" Clancy inquires giddily.
@OtomostheCrazy

XD Yeah, it's been awhile since I posted on here too. I gotta remember where I was and what I was doing...
@KatherinWinter
Not at all! Just waiting on others :3 Specifically Ventus and Arakadin.
So, are we waiting on Otomos now? :3
"...This sucks."
Maxie sat in one of her favorite alleyways of the city, surrounded once again by stray animals. There was a gray cat on her lap, a white and orange cat to her left, and a scrawny golden retriever to her right. There were probably birds watching her from the rooftops or windowsills too, but she hardly cared about any of this. She'd just gotten fired. Again.
Seriously, she'd been lucky enough to get 3 jobs in these past two weeks that she'd spent living on her own, but somehow also unlucky enough to lose them within a short span of time. Mostly because animals kept getting into the store and following her around. Though, Maxie had a feeling that she would've been fired even if this WEREN'T the case, given how bad she'd always been about communicating verbally with other human beings. She felt like an alien most of the time. Or a ghost.
Maxie stood up, but not too fast so she didn't startle the cat on her lap too bad. She reached into the pocket of her "new" jacket, stolen by one of her animal followers from a laundromat (as most of her new clothes were nowadays), and took out her wallet.
"I wonder if I have enough to actually do something that doesn't suck today. Maybe eat out or stay at a hotel for the night, instead of stealing from grocery stores and breaking into people's homes. Oh yes, what a lovely life I live." Maxie laughed sarcastically at herself.
The girl stepped out from the alley and onto the sidewalk, watching other members of what was supposedly her species (seriously, she'd never be convinced again that she was a person) walking around, as if no war between Heaven and Hell had ever happened. Her mildly uncomfortable mood watching people go by seemed to translate itself to the animals who now trailed behind her. A couple of growls rose up from the cats. The dog had stayed in the alley, hopefully just sleeping...
"Shush." Maxie glanced down at them. "C'mon now. Don't act that way. I'm a terrible role model."
With the cats now hushed, and hopefully no one recognizing the stolen jacket she was wearing, Maxie began journeying down the sidewalks and streets of the city, on the lookout for "Help Wanted" signs, or anything interesting. When she passed by a hotel, she slowed down. Something about it bothered her, and not just that it looked like one of the shabbiest, seediest hotels she'd ever seen. The air around the place was some strange mix of unnerving and familiar. The cats hissed behind her.
"Hey! I told you guys to quiet down. No one's gonna pick you up off the street if you're not a nice kitty." Maxie was once again talking to cats. In public. Splendid.
Maxie let out a sigh, and walked closer to the hotel.
Appearance:

Name: Maxie Lynette

Age: 18

Power: Creature Manipulation- Can communicate with animals, and control them as long as she has the energy to do so

Bio: Ever since she was little, Maxie had been defined as "different" from all those around her. The girl suffered from social anxiety, and found it much harder to interact with other human beings than normal people would. She spent most of her time with animals wherever she was, whether it be a friend's house, relative's house, or her own house. It there weren't any animals around for her to be with, she'd stay eerily quiet, and sit in whichever place had the least people in it. When she was a young child, her parents wrote it off as "cute", but as she grew older, they started tiring of her odd behavior. They accused her of acting so cold just to get out of talking to people and so on. So, Maxie did what she thought was easiest.
Maxie ran away. Straight into the wilderness. In all honesty, she felt more at home there than she ever had back in her home.
By the time night fell on the first day of her journey, Maxie stopped under a tree in order to rest, but noticed something odd sticking out of the bark. It was what looked like a jagged piece of glass, glowing faintly in the dark like the eye of a cat. Maxie brought her hand forward to run a finger over the smooth side of the shard, to further investigate it, but when she touched it, the glow concentrated around where the had touched it, then faded away. The shard disappeared with it. Maxie was a little creeped out, especially when a sudden wave of whispers flooded her mind, but she figured it was just fatigue and stress eating at her anxious mind. She ignored the whispers as much as she could and fell asleep.
The next day, she awoke to find that several different animals were gathered around her. This didn't bother her at all, and in fact brought her great joy at first to have them around her, following wherever she went. Then....the people came. When people from the nearby city entered the wild, she suddenly felt...bad. Her senses tightened on the humans, and she felt this animal instinct take over. Voices were commanding her to kill those on her territory. She had no problem listening, and sending her little pack of animals after them.
That was only about two weeks ago. Maxie has since then taken to living in dark alleys, wherever stray or wild animals are hanging around. Every once in awhile she takes a walk in the wilderness, but the lack of supplies out there keeps her living in the city.
@KatherinWinter

Thanks! I'll go ahead and start writing then!
@KatherinWinter

Well, you're right though. It'd be easier if I just put her in the city!
I edited my CS above :3

Sephie's eyes move from Lucas to Ventus, listening to both of them. She sighs and shrugs her shoulders. "You know I was kinda just kidding about the secrets, right? While I do like to keep my magic and Pokemon training methods confidential, there's little else I have to hide. I'll even tell you guys right now, that I know Montainum, leader of the Revolutioneers, and some of his other top operatives personally. I could tell you how I met up with Ai-yu too, since I know you must be pretty curious as to how a...well, I guess I'm not a 'normal' trainer....but, a trainer nevertheless, has a mythical Pokemon like that." She grins. "Still, despite everything I just said, you can trust me. Just because I know them doesn't mean I'm part of the Revolutioneers. In fact, I'd say it makes me pretty useful to you guys, all the information I have-"
"You're going to get yourself tied up and interrogated. Again." A hand lands on Sephie's shoulder. She turns to see Pipley standing behind her. She looks down and sees his Pokeball open in the ground. Sephie puts a palm to her face.
"Pip. Seriously, STOP breaking out of your Pokeball like that!" She huffs. "Ugh...I swear, maybe too much Pokemon Amie CAN be a bad thing..."
"I'm merely doing my job and trying to protect you." Pipley has a bemused grin on his face.

Tatakumei is nearly overwhelmed by everything that is going on around her. Not only had she just gotten free, but now there were strange, big, intimidating Pokemon coming within her vicinity at a rate she couldn't keep track of. The strange Zangoose is first, but then suddenly there's a big Staraptor attacking him, and then a huge Dusknoir appearing out of the shadows, and everyone seems just completely fine with this. Tatakumei takes a breath to steady her trembling figure. She tries to smile weakly at Taka and Charon before turning back to Heat and listening to what he says. Tatakumei takes another moment to read the auras around her before she makes her decision.
"A-alright then...um...I'll go. T-thank you." She nods to Heat and the others before venturing into the clearing, hurrying on her way. Though she doesn't quite distrust Heat and his other companions, the aura she just felt resonating from them had unnerved her somewhat. She quietly steps into the gathering of people, behind most of them. No one notices her right away, so instead of calling attention to herself right away, she stays where she is and listens in.
"Well, I won't talk your ear off. I just feel I should warn you about a particularly...eager member of the Revolutioneers. My brother, Darkclaw." Rythian says. "He's a normal Zoroark. Not a shiny. But, he's savage, quick, and good at his illusions. That is, when he remembers to do them. Most of the time he leaps straight into the fray. I used to be in the Revolutioneers with him, but...then the carnage started. I hated it, so I pretended to be dead during one of our battles, and escaped out here."

In the shadows, Darkclaw seethes with fury. So, this shiny Zoroark WAS his brother. Darkclaw is bitter at his betrayal, and what he perceived as cowardice from his younger brother. This wasn't all that enraged Darkclaw, however. He had picked up a scent that he knew far too well. Looking at the back of the clearing, he spots her. Tatakumei. Out of a cage.
Unacceptable.
Tatakumei looks around at all the Pokemon and humans she can see now. She dares to walk a little closer. "U-um...hello?"
Sephie and Pipley turn around to look at the little Riolu in the red scarf. Pipley's eyes seem to narrow for a moment, as if the sight of the Riolu mystifies him. That's not it, though. It's her scent that messes with Pipley's head.
Of course, being unable to notice such things like scents, Sephie doesn't take much notice, and crouches down to get closer to Tatakumei's level. "Hey there! Where'd you come from, cutie? You look a little...uh..." Sephie is having a hard time thinking of a nice way to say it. "....abused..."
Tatakumei looks down at the ground, but she doesn't deny what was just said either. She looks back up at Sephie and opens her mouth to say something, but suddenly her eyes go wide. She picks up on an alarmingly familiar aura, and her heart leaps up into her throat. She manages a short scream when a pair of blue eyes make themselves visible in the nearby darkness. A Zoroark leaps out into the middle of the clearing.
"Well, speak of the devil..." Rythian scowls.
"Look, I don't mean any harm. I have no fights to pick with any of you. Not even you, little brother." Darkclaw states with a slimy smirk. His eyes focus on Tatakumei. "But I need my...little daughter over there to come back with me, if that's alright.
"N-no! He's lying!" Tatakumei cries out shrilly. Darkclaw frowns a bit. In the middle of all this drama, there's a sigh.
"Everyone, no need to jump on this one. I'll handle this." Pipley holds up his paws and addresses everyone in the clearing. He then casually walks up to Darkclaw.
"Tch, what're YOU gonna do?" Darkclaw sneers.
Pipley's bemused grin returns, and he clears his throat, as if he's about to give a grand speech.
"...No." Pipley throws out his hands and hits Darkclaw with a quick Dazzling Gleam attack, like someone spraying a cat with water. "No. Bad." He repeats this a few times.
"H-hey! Quit it! STOP! STOP IT NOW!" Darkclaw cries out in frustration each time he's attacked. Finally, his anger boils over, and he aims a slash at Pipley's throat with his weaponized claws. He raises his arm, but before he can bring it down, Pipley jabs him in the stomach with his wooden staff, knocking the Zoroark to the ground.
"Now, you have two choices." Pipley leans on his staff, looking over his opponent. "Run off like a little sissy and save your skin, or I'll light you on fire."
Darkclaw looks absolutely pissed, but he quickly scrambles to his feet and runs off.
"That was awesome!" Sephie stands back up with a laugh.
Tatakumei stands relieved in the background, but something in her mind clicks as she watches Sephie and Pipley.
She recognizes them. She's never seen them before, but...they match up with the stories she got told. About who her mother's trainer was. About who Tatakumei's father was.
"...my trainer? Oh, she was an odd one. A girl in a with hat who wore a scarf no matter what temperature it was outside..."
Sephie straightens her witch hat and wears a sly smile. "Were you really gonna light him on fire?"
"....Tataku, your father was a Delphox. A tall, lanky fox-like Pokemon with fur in warm colors. A fire and psychic type..."
"I saw no reason not to, should it have been necessary." Pipley shrugs, walking back to Sephie's side.
Tatakumei smiles and starts to cry.

Violetta turns to Serran and thinks for a moment. "Welllllll...I suppose a peek wouldn't hurt. Fine. You may accompany me, mortal~." She cackles, despite her worrying, and starts heading in the direction of the room with the holding cells in it.
Aruba stays quiet as Vanitas responds to her, even when he turns to yelling. She growls lightly, but stands back up, and puts her chair back where it goes.
"My apologies for offending you, but you of all people should know that I have little reason to trust anyone in this facility at all." Aruba says. She smirks, just a hint of a smile on her lips. "I know of which deity you speak. the great Giratina, yes? My trainer...she knows a lot about such legends as well. I mean...she wouldn't have met Ai-yu here if she didn't."
Ai-yu fidgets around a little at the mention of her name. She trusts Aruba more than Vanitas right now, but to her, they're both acting a little scary.
"At any rate...I suppose now there's no reason for me to stay here." Aruba fights back a wide grin as she continues talking to Vanitas. "I mean...if Tatakumei isn't here, there's nothing keeping me here either. I'm finding it very hard to care anymore now that I know she's free, but...I suppose I should ask you what you gain from seeing to it that she's free. Not that I'm expecting you to reveal this to me, but...you have a plan, don't you?"
