Dang, I was hoping the Sunflower Group made their anti-Joe headquarters in One PPG or something. I mean, look at a photo of that place and try to tell me a supervillain doesn't hang out there.

More seriously, though, my architecture hobby was what led me to pick such a specific building for Coalition HQ.

Honestly, my ideal headquarters for the Sunflower Group would be an offshore facility, like the Motherbase from Metal Gear. But for now I think it's better if they remain in areas that aren't as conspicuous as a giant goddamn wall of mirrors. Don't get me wrong, I love towers as much as the next guy, but it doesn't really suit Frank or his men.
Yeah, tall buildings and the like are just kinda my hobby, so that just came to mind.

Unfortunately for you, I prefer cramped areas and warehouses. So expect the Sunflower Group to occupy a lot of those.

Out of curiosity, just how many men do you have with you? Poor Liam, out in the town trying to find out.

Three in the building (Frank, Baba, and Cliff), four in a truck parked a bit further away from everything, armed and ready to act towards any incidents that rise up.
Think that'll be the last one for me until we get the real party going, unless someone decides to rub the baldy's head for good luck.
Saint Frank

Frank backed up to rejoin Cliff and Baba, the latter whispering to him, โ€œThis be getting out of hand, Kaal.โ€

Frank nodded a bit and, keeping his eyes on the rest of the room, moved back some to the right side of the aisles. He turned his back to the rest of the room and lowered the output volume a bit as he began speaking to his men. โ€œOkay. Obviouslyโ€ฆ this is something serious that Iโ€™m not sure weโ€™re prepared to handle on our own.โ€ He brought up his communicator and spoke quietly into it, โ€œHey. What are you guys seeing outside?โ€

โ€œSome other folks are hanging around, same as we are. Pretty sure theyโ€™re onto us, waiting for something to happen.โ€

โ€œAlright, have your guns ready.โ€ Frank replied, โ€œDonโ€™t make any direct eye contact with them and stay in the truck unless things get serious. Weโ€™re handling ourselves inside but it could go fuck up at any point. Definitely some supers in here with us.โ€

โ€œAny plans to capture them?โ€

Frank looked up at his adjutants. They both shook their heads. He replied to the soldier, โ€œNo. At least, not now. Weโ€™re definitely gonna be outnumbered. Just stay ready and wait for us.โ€

โ€œRoger.โ€

Frank put the communicator away and took a few more glances around the rooms. He turned back to his adjutants and said, โ€œIf we werenโ€™t in the shit before, weโ€™re definitely testing the waters now. You two keep an eye on everyone else, donโ€™t let them get too close. Anything suspicious, you tell me. No drawing your guns unless I say so. Got it?โ€ Clifford simply nodded while Baba replied with, โ€œYah.โ€

โ€œAlright.โ€ Frank said, brushing past them and taking a seat in one of the pews, far away from the larger figure and anyone else in the room besides his men. The two of them stood and kept a vigil over the rest.

Him, a friend of ours named Allen, and myself were in RPs together. If you want to see my regular post length go check my stuff in Verthaven. I've been limiting myself here as to not swamp erryone with words walls. Bet you're doing the same @Blue Demon.

Ah, Allenfest. I think that's what really pushed me over the proverbial edge.

Oh no! That's terrible to hear.

Not really. It's more like... I got tired of stressing myself to put all this filler in my posts when I could just get to the point with simple setups. Besides, you know what they say about motion in the ocean. If I can write something coherent I'm not gonna stretch it further than it has to be.
There was a time when I was able to write much longer posts but I think some of that part of me has shriveled up and snapped off. I stay out of the Advanced section these days.
I honestly don't have a preference. As long or short as it needs to be to convey your point. In the words of Larry the Cable Guy, "Git 'er done."

Good to hear.
Speaking of which, what's your preference for post length @Polyphemus?
