Death Korps of Krieg/Necrons or Cosplaying Post-Scarcity Japan...

I prefer the latter. We already have enough 40k inspired factions xD.
Due to insistence of Ekreture, human middle powers include

-Gaian Republic: Appalachian space-confederates
-Humankind Empire of Ithica: Civil-war ridden ex-main/great power turned into a middle power. Space!Syria in terms of all the main powers wanting to jump into it and its numerous competing factions
-Aries Republic: Treacherous banana republic that Bolshevik'd their pro-human royalty and then become neutral/isolationist, leaving the Terran bloc.
-Mallise Trade Entente: @Skippy O Africa's Space!Venetian + East Indies Trading Company capitalists

UNSURE:
-Elgoeran Federation: Not sure if middle or minor power (or even major): Friendly xenophile Naboo

Minor:
-United Nations of Earth: Stark trek Earth built in the heart of the former Empire. Very small but has significant cultural and religious importance.

Well with Christmas over, time for me to get back to work on my IC posting.

@Willy Vereb: Both a krieg/40k imperium and a proper star trek federation would be good. We already have a star-trek like nation, though it is very small and a minor power so a second one may actually be preferable. The rest of the galaxy is pretty hostile, the three main human nations are all xenophobic, authoritarian states to variable degrees.

Terran Federation = Nationalistic, Xenophobic Heinlein Federation
Enlightened State = Totalitarian Pseudo-Buddhist Orwellian Nightmare
Holy Empire of New Jerusalem = Authoritarian/Totalitarian, Fundamentalist Theocratic Empire (GM needs to get it done)

If you make a star-trek federation, I suggest making it a major power so it actually has a chance.
Right, @Ekreture has broken the news about Kausis' fall, so I can begin my IC response to that...
@Isotope The Terran Federation probably would have tried to meddle to halt the coup, but obviously failed (Similar to how the British tried to keep the Russian Empire in WW1 but failed). They would see your nation as being led by crypto-xeno lovers for pulling out of the wars.

PLAYERS THAT NEED TO POST IC FOR CONFERENCE TO GO AHEAD:
-@The Spectre
-@Sigma
-Some other terran faction, probably @Ekreture
@NecroKnight

Likely when everyone involved in the Peace Conference has sent their delegations, and when the host officially begins the conference.
Agreed.
@Ekreture
THINGS YOU COULD BE INVOLVED IN
-Peace conference obviously, you are now a combatant technically, being Terran-aligned
-Once Sigma makes a post (probably about raiding human territories), you could be involved somehow. Perhaps the Terran Federation intervention force calls on Gaians to assist (think coalition of the willing type stuff), or it could be a small Gaian frontier colony/settlment (like the ones in Mass Effect 1/2) in another star system, assuming the Gaian Republic has some kind of interstellar presence.
-Your own independent post, possibly detailing some important internal event
-A post involving Earth and the UN, considering they are your closest neighbor, being literally right next to each other.
@Sigma Yeah, I figure we get involved in border fights. The way I see it: We probably don't actually physically border each other, because otherwise that puts a giant bug empire pretty much in the Terran core worlds. Instead you constantly attack human/terran worlds nearby to the Federation that aren't a part of the Federation (I figure the galaxy is filled with human NPCs, considering the fact that the galaxy was 90% conquered by the empire before). The Federation considers these mini-human NPCs as 'client states', regardless if they actually are or not and so constantly intervene or send small patrols to counter-harass your forces.
@Fashy So, what is your opinion of the nations and RP setting so far? How will New Jerusalem work (in terms of the other nations and the overall setting)?

@Ekreture Also, good to see another Terran faction! Now the Federation has some back up xD. From the looks of it, you seem to be playing Space!Confederates/antebellum US, which makes them likely allies of my Heinlein-knock off Federation.
