Alright. I'll post when I catch up. (Also, I'm currently working on a few other things, so I might be slow at posting for the moment)
Nope that helps me a lot. Thanks! Working on a CS now...
lol, no problem. Like I said, I'll have the OOC and stuff up either tonight or tomorrow. So keep it handy! ^^
Ah, alright! I'll see if I can write up a thing about Vampires & Vitae later today, or tomorrow, kinda busy currently.
Ditto. I'll at least give a good "Introduction" and the basic "Mechanics" tonight. The more in-depth information will come later (and over time)
Let me be more specific as to what I think should be in each group, just a suggestion. Mana = Magicks Vitae = Magicks Spirit = Magicks/Spirit Powers/Abilities Psionic = Mental Powers/Prowess (Telekinesis, Telepathy, etc. Can cross over with Mana, Vitae, and Spirit) Chi = Able to control literal energy, one with yourself, etc.
This is how I classify them (though Vitae is a new one for me). However, I will explain the mechanics thoroughly. It should be agreeable, in the end. Just be patient as I write about the Nexus (it'll appear like an essay). Give me a couple of hours.
Vitae is a True/Born Vampire's Spirit (you could "trap" their spirit somehow and imbue it in a necklace or amulet to be immune to magicks from Mana.) Keep in mind only True/Born Vampires have Vitae, it's another "layer" of magic. Thing is, it can negate Magic from Mana overall as it's anti-magical to it in that sense, you'd have to use Chi, Vitae, Aura (forgot about this one), or Spirit Power. Psionic Powers are useless to use on them directly, as True/Born Vampires have no organs...I'll reveal about an essay worth of description on vampires and Vitae.
Wunderbar! I think we can help each other out with our essays, then. I'll use it as a citation for my "Grimoire."
Wunderbar? You mean Jakob? EDIT: I know someone who uses Wunderbar as an alias, are you confusing me for someone else?
Wunderbar = "Wonderful" in German -_-"
I fail epically, lmao. I'm sorry. I only know the word Wunderbar as I know a friend who uses that as an alias. I am so sorry. Anyway, how could we help each other?
lol, I see. Simple, I can borrow some information from your race(s) to add to my Grimoire (which you can use to get a more firm grasp on the vague concept known as "magic")

Alright, had time to read through it and I really want to join, but I have a few questions. 1. Can I make a faerie or mermaid or some mythical creature? 2. I don't really understand the karma. Can you explain that a little bit? 3. Is the tavern the only place that we can go without being on a mission?
1) Yes, you may. I encourage variety and creativity, and having a unique character is something I really want people to have. 2) Well, Karma is essentially "Cause and Effect." Everyone is affected by it, by their choices and by their actions. You receive both negative and positive Karma, and the "larger" number determines varying outcomes. It is enacted randomly (at my own discretion) and can affect your luck in certain circumstances. However, it should be noted that having "positive Karma" isn't always good, depending on certain circumstances. It is a minor mechanic that has a large effect in combat (against an NPC), conversation, and the final results of a mission. So... simply put, it is the consequences of your actions that give slight alterations to the world around you. 3) Yes and no. Like I said, it is a hub. You'll start out by arriving at the tavern, then from there you do whatever you want; if there is a side-story involving two characters being romantically involved or want a duel to the death, they can leave the tavern and go elsewhere for a short time. However, the tavern is just as important as player/character development, mostly because of its purpose to thrive off character interaction and the stories created by these interactions, my own involvement notwithstanding. The tavern, for the most part, is there for all the players to receive the most recent news of events that are occurring or have occurred. If this hasn't answered your question, may I ask that you elaborate a little?
This is something I can get into. I'm a little curious about the powers, talents, abilities etc. Is this going to be a progression like system or is it just so everyone has a good grasp of the character? Also are we able to make multiple characters? I have an idea to play my character and his wife, who would be a stay at home kind of character.
1) Just something to give everyone a good grasp of the character. This is what they have and what they will continue to have; however, there is some progression in magnitude. As you rise in rank/class, your powers also get a boost. Once you reach S-Class, you're pretty much at God-Tier and can fight on even ground with enemies in S-Rank missions (unless the missions state there needs to be 3 S-Class characters). 2) I do not like the idea of allowing multiple characters in this kind of RP. It has the potential of taking away the player/character interaction that this RP is focused on, allowing for a singular story to happen between those two (or more) characters from the same player; thus, it has the potential of just being a "short story collective" rather than a tavern setting RP. However, feel free to convince me otherwise and I might consider it; mostly so long as you keep true to NOT focusing on just your characters alone. However, the husband-wife set already unnerves me.

Vampires will draw their magic from their Spirit, or their Vitae, Mana rarely, but it's all Vitae, @Sessamaru I'll discuss this with you and tell you the properties and mechanics of Vitae if that's alright. So I'm in charge of Demons and the Underworld then, eh? Ufufufu~! I won't let you down, then! Do I just post everything here or send you a PM? I'll get to work on writing a bit of basic Lore as to the differences between Hell and the Underworld. Is it alright if I also work on Lore and Youkai oh and Dragons and Draconics!
Magic might not even need mana to cast, if that's how Sessamaru wants it. You two work that out! Remember to compromise and respect each other! I'm happy if you are, and I trust you'll do a good job! WIP posts goes into the Character section in the game thread :)
I'm personally a classical magic person, so I really think that magic should be derived from Mana and mana syphoned from the Aether.
Mana, Vitae, Spirit, Psionic, and Chakra/Chi is what I classify magicks in.
Magic, as I have it, is drawn from the "Nexus" also known as the "Heart of Magic," the rawest, purest form of mana, chi/ki, life energy, and so on. So you all don't have to worry about it, honestly. I have created the "Nexus" as a close-knit network that exists in every living (and non-living) creature. Coincidentally, the Nexus has many other names, such as mana, chi/ki, and such. I will explain this in detail, as well. They have the same principles: Concentration, imagery, and molding. If anyone has any questions, please ask and I'll explain it further. Edit: For now, I'll be running some errands. I'll be back in a little while to answer said questions.
I'll post the RP/OOC sometime tonight or tomorrow. If you'd like, you can go ahead and take the template from above and make a character.
