"Oh, okay then..." Sepia responded to the newly-arrived huntress, though she thought that there really was no comparison between having your mother almost assault someone and the rather adorable display she'd just witnessed between the girl and her...father? She was no one to be making that kind of assumption.
"Well, it's nice to meet you, Sand! You're from Atlas? I've never been there before." she tilted her head in thought, ears perked higher than usual.
"Come to think of it, until attending Beacon, I'd never left Vacuo. Or so I've been told."At Trad and his parents' concern for Datura, the canine brunette's train of thought quickly jumped to her "mother". Appraising her condition quickly, Sepia determined that she was still a little ruffled, but returning to normal rapidly. Out of curiosity, she checked Soot too. Gentle and guarded as always. No surprise there. With that information in her possession, she spoke to Blad with a relaxed smile.
"She's fine. My mom's been this jumpy as long as I've known her.""-And hormonal now, too." Soot added, chuckling softly as Datura wiggled out of his grasp and punched him the shoulder.
"I thought we agreed to tell her together." The young woman whined. Her previously shaken demeanor was starting to slip away in favor of one jokingly irritated. "You're such an a-"
Whatever name Datura was about to call her partner, was cut off by a sharp gasp of happiness and excitement from their daughter.
""Ohmygosh! You mean I'm going to be a big sister?" Her silky flag of a tail flicked back and forth rapidly. A warm, shared glance between Datura and Soot was all the confirmation she needed. As caught up as she was in this new development, it wasn't surprising that she almost missed the last thing Trad said.
"The Athletic Center? Oh, yeah, I was jist about to be making my way over there." Still slightly flushed, she hastily added,
"I should probably have already said this before all of, well, that..." the teenage faunus sucked in a deep breath and let it go slowly.
"but anyway, I'm Sepia Russet, part of team KYSS, and daughter of Soot and Datura (these two) in every way except biological." She added that last part because Datura's age (and to a lesser extent, Soot's) and the fact that both of her parents were human usually caused some confusion.
