Maxi shook his head and ran out, lighting himself onto the building above him, he had to get their in time to catch who ever did this. As maxi ran as fast as he could he began to think, of who could have done it. I|t must have been the reapers, or someone looking to catch attention, he stopped out of breath. His power drained, he turned and took a flashlight out of his pocket. Flicking it on he started to suck the light out of the device. It didn't look like anything, the dim light was there and then not. But now the flash light wouldn't work anymore, the battery was fine and would work in another flash light but not this one.He threw the flash light down and continued on.
The area where it happened was a massacre, a few news vans were at the scene.Maxi jumped down, light breaking his fall. He crouched down to check the wounds on the victims. Maxi stumbled back "Jesus, smells like a public pool". The smell of the wounds were overpowering and were the same as the two people from this morning. Maxi snapped a few photo's and then was turning to leave when someone was standing there. He had a red shirt and black and red pants, he glared at Maxi "who did this?". He demanded walking towards Maxi, "was it you?!" he yelled, a white mist leaked from his hands "who are you?!". the man yelled again, Maxi crouched in a fighting position "no I didn't-" Maxi ducked, an ice spike was shot at him, the man charged and Maxi ducked out of the way. "Hold on let me-" Maxi was interrupted by a flurry of ice spikes, one grazing his shoulder. It sent Maxi tumbling away and landing on his stomach Maxi flinched when a man picked him up by the shirt and threw him back into the street, sunlight caked him from head to toe. Maxi closed his eyes and let in the warmth into his body. Maxi started to glow a faint white, his hand made a finger gun, he pointed it at the man who attacked him "I didn't do it".
A blast of light was shot from his finger, shooting the man down the street, he hit a set of lights and then the concrete. Maxi stood up, it took all his energy to stop sucking in sunlight. He went to walk then noticed that his hoodie, was white not black. He laughed a bit as he lit himself right infront of the man who was attacking him "listen buddy, I don't know who you are but I didn't do that, I control light not what ever acid the guy who did this controls." Maxi helped the man up, he sighed "i'm sorry, I-" Maxi smiled " no need to say anything."

Personality: King is a hot-headed high tempered guy who only applies one rule to anything get the job done. Anything else is irrelevant . He hates conduits who don't deserve their powers. He believes that the syndicate is on to something. But he also wants to protect the rights of innocent people. He gets into lots of trouble, his 'heroics' get labeled as crimes because of collateral damage. he also hates the D.U.P.
Biography: He and his older brother were taken from their parents when they were younger, he was raised by his older brother being put into foster home after foster home until his brother was of age and they both left. They lived with each together into two years ago. When he brother sacrificed his life for King. The D.U.P came knocking after some reports that King had used his powers, When they cornered King and were about to bring him in when his brother attacked them, sending ice spikes from all directions. Giving King a chance to escape, his
brother died that day. Along with King's hope. He grew up, mastering his powers until now, after Scorn made that television appearance he promised that she would pay for using her powers wrong.
Power: Ice manipulation
Power-: Ice balls or spikes depending on what he wants to do.
Ice grenade: a golf ball sized ice ball that spreads small amounts of liquid nitrogen freezing people in it's radius the more power he puts into it the more deadly it is.
Ice rocket: pretty much the same thing as the grenade but faster and more power in it.
Ice shotgun: King can create multiple ice debris (ball's or spikes) and shoot them all at once.
Ice grenade 2: the explosion creates a pillar of ice that shoots the target into the air.
Also king can create spires or spikes with his powers which help him reach high places. The spikes are not pointed though,
Special ability: can create many spikes spanning a few feet infront of him that come out of the ground. These spikes are in fact pointed.
Other: Only the special ability spikes are pointed.

Maxi sat drinking his coffee, watching the man in-front of him, a conduit. He could tell, the way he followed Maxi into the coffee shop, the way he would deliver half glances in his directions. It also helped that Maxi remembered him from Cruden Cay. He began to think of the place, all the anger and hatred toward normal people, Maxi knew they were just jealous at what they couldn't have. It was okay though, Maxi had forgiven them. And he will protect them. Then he though on the syndicate and their cause, the cause they believed in was a noble one, taking away the powers of conduits that miss-used them. Though it should be decided by a group of conduits, not kidnappings and a vigilante group.
Maxi sighed, some people just couldn't be helped. His phone vibrated and he looked at it. It was the news app he had downloaded, it was breaking news, about an attack and innocents dead. Maxi looked up at the man who followed him here. He got up and rushed over to him "calm on, we gotta go!". Maxi pulled on his shirt "come on hurry!". He yelled again, "i'll be back, save my spot". He pointed at Keira".

Maxi had left, and was on his way home, he had enough of being a hero for today. But as he was running he remembered something, the girl who served him was from Curden Cay, he didn't realize why he hadn't remembered before. He Shrugged it off and he would talk to her later. He approached his rooftop apartment. Yes it was illegal to live on a rooftop, but he knew some people and he made it work. The small portion of the rooftop had a worn leather chair and a small battery powered Television. he sat down and flicked on the T.V. he didn't sleep here, too risky he slept int he basement of the building, why didn't he just rent an apartment? not as cool. And this was quick access he could run off the building and he could be lighting himself before someone would could say "holy shit it's a man wielding light!". Literally.
After a few minutes of watching he flicked it off and set it down and just thought for a while. How could he get the reapers and hurt them?. Scorn would soon hear of his message if she hadn't already. She would plan a counter attack. he needed an Ally, that girl from the coffee shop would be a good pick, they had already exchanged a few words which weren't angry. That was like being best friends in Curden Cay. Maxi Grunted, he was a procrastinator he needed to do it rigth now or not at all he sighed and jumped off the roof and 'lighting' himself to a nearby building.
Maxi got back to the square soon enough, his message burning brightly, some firefighters tried to get the men off the roof maxi giggled and he light sped onto the ground so no one would see his light. Wouldn't want this aura of Mysteriousness go away. He entered the coffee shop. he hadn't thought of what to say until now, so he went and sat in his usual booth, his mug and money were still sitting there. He sat down and thought of his next move. Would he just get up and ask for her help or would he wait until the end of her shift and then ask?. Time or Impatience would tell. He ordered another coffee.
