History: Josh and his family lived a wealthy area of metropolis his father was a councilmen, his mother was a lawyer. one day his father got some mysterious emails about some illegal activities his fellow council members were partaking in, he brought this up at the next meeting, and nothing was done about it. But the council made sure his father never spoke again,it was supposedly a mugging gone bad.

the years after his father had died his mother went into a downward spiral, she began to drink. She was eventually fired from her job and they had to move into a more rough part of town. It was around this time where Josh convinced his mother to go to AA meetings.

Josh's personal life had taken a turn foe the worst, where in his old home he had lots of friends and went to a good school and had good grades. But now, he felt isolated, people made fun of him for the stupidest reason, he would also get beaten up at school. he was so afraid to go everyday, but had to go and get an education, which was hard because he had also picked up a part time job to support him and his mother. Life seemed to kick him in the face any chance it got, but that all changed when some men with guns came into his school, he was in the bathroom cleaning his nose when the first shot rang out, he ran out of the bathroom to see a group of three men standing over a girl who was quivering on the ground, the men were a few feet from him, they all were turned, talking amongst themselves, they quickly assigning places for each of them to go. they turned and saw Josh, raising their firearms, Josh ducked back into the bathroom,he heard running and one of them said for the others to move on, Josh waited behind a corner for the creep, his gun came first, Josh pushed the barrel into the wall with all his might, but he mid judged the distance of the wall and fell in front of the man, the man Chuckled and pointed his gun and he heard a voice " Joshua Arrowsmith of sector 2814 you have great will, welcome to the green lantern corps.

And with that he exploded in green light, despite the awesome green ring the gun and the mans look sent fear running through his body "let the fear in Josh," he said "and over come it, he punched the man in the neck, and pushed him through the wall. another green light shined beside him, he had seen the man on television "John Stewart" he muttered, the man smiled, beside him, wrapped up in Emerald green rope were the other two men. Then he was dragged to Oa.

Personality: Josh is a laid back, casual guy mostly. Never really takes anything serious unless there are lives on the line, he sticks up for what he believes in and when he sets his mind to something he can't be stopped.
