It's an interesting thought no question. But at this point in time I would rather go with the suit. Your method would mean I would have to sacrifice a jutsu in order to make the protective shell. But I definitely look forwards to Rp'ing with you in the near future.

Maybe, but in that kind of situation all social niceties have gone out the window. Covering up the smell and sight isn't so high on the list of things to do in a life or death battle.

This is true. At some point it's going to happen where your character is going to have to focus less on covering up and more on survival. But, assuming that he comes into a life or death situation only a few times, you should think about wether or not it's a better idea to use some chakra for a kind of shell, or just say whatever ill have him be in a suit every moment of the day when hes out in public. I think also keep in mind how often he is going to be at home where he gets a chance to relax with the suit off. I assume not as much as he'd like after joining SETU.

Also, this is just me giving my opinion of course. I think it's good to have someone challenge your idea. obviously you don't have to change it since I'm not a GM or anything ^^

I was actually thinking as I read it over... I feel like there's a way to avoid the whole suit thing if you wanted.

So the purpose of it is to mask a living zombie basically. Totally cool, but I feel like an easier way would be to just create a second shell of some sort, much like how Gaara has a sand shield that constantly regenerates and such. Would it be possible that over time the clan developed something like that but with water? That way, the person could be covered up and the smell would probably be noticible but not over powering. Again this is just an idea. Cuz then what the heck do you do when in battle and your suit gets all messed up? you can't pull another out of his ass, you know?

By any chance, did you happen to read anything else about the character or just couldn't get past the Plague Doctor's outfit?

No, they aren't required. Honestly, I consider those skills something we will use in combat, but less of the: "Cast explicit named skill of awesomeness!" and more of the: "He does the thing, with the weapon, and it turns the color, in a descriptive move of cooli-flare!
