A Tale of Three Moons

"Snownut Dynasty ehh?"

Kyros has been looking over the small bowls that were laid out like an assembly line. There were dozens of tables, dozens of recreations of the same bowl of cheesy smelling broth. Some had vegetables, others bread, even a few of them had chunks of cooked meat but those werent for sampling, you had to pay for that. Still Kyros followed his nose, and the fact that cheese (but mostly a free meal) attracted the giant fiery man. He seized it in both hands drank deep of the broth. He slammed it back down.

"YAAAAAAAAHHHHHHOOOOOOO!!! THIS IS AMAZING!!!" He roared this, and it was enough to even go over the volume of the event and get dozens of wary concerned looks. Even the stall owner jumped at the roaring Ifrit, his eyes a blaze with the desire for more, a toothy grin on his face.

They've arrived in Gabir just at the start of the Codex Wheel festival and to be honest, it was kind of a surprise. They meant to come to this city to follow a lead, but when that person skipped town to the gods know where, it was the Hero for Hire and his companion that were left high and dry. Having come such a long way, they had not had that many jobs in the weeks prior. They were down to their last couple of coin, not even enough to warrant staying at an inn.

Thankfully, there were not alot of places Kyros could get into. They had been camping out in some abandoned warehouse along the city limits. It wasn't comfortable but it kept out the rain and drafts, if there was any. The festival however provided an opportunity to fill their bellies without breaking anymore of the bank. They made sure to go into town and enjoy the festivities before planning their next move.

Kyros suggested they bite the bullet and join up with the Adventurers Guild. It sucked to not have the freedom to make their own way but they couldnt rightfully live and travel without some kind of income, and atleast the Guild should offer some of that. Kyros wasn't concerned for himself. He could sleep on rocks, but he wanted to make sure his companion was atleast partially comfortable on their noble quest.

Speaking of...

Kyros had grabbed a few bowls from the started teller, offering him more simply out of fear of him causing a scene. He had four bowls of the cheesey broth, one in each hand, one balancing on each bicep and another on his head. He for some reason didn't mind the balancing act as he went throught the crowd. His bulk causing him to apologize as he had to bud into each crowd.

"Its times like this I wish she was a bit taller." He said to himself, seeking his comrade at arms.

Brief History: A descendant of the Ho-Chunk Nation, William grew in a family of ranchers and farmers that tried to uphold the traditions of their ancient and lost culture. William did his work as a kid, went to school, learned everything he needed to learn. His grandparents told him the stories of their tribe, passing down the lessons. While he took the legends to heart with a childlike interest he still has to this day, it developed into a general interest of people in general. While his family would have liked to have him stay and continue the family line, his interests and pursuits were more social in nature. Being the first of his family to graduate college with a business degree. Actually starting his career however, lead to some setbacks, until he received a store in the will of his granduncle...
Your Story:

The pickup truck served him for over a decade now. Its struts were coated in rust, its engines nearly black from carbon and soot. It grinded, grumbled, but it rolled along like its supposed to. It was an old reliable girl and it's driver took care of it, even if it did show it's age. In its back, held down with bungee cords and tarps were the bags, boxes and brick-a-brack that was the entire life of a single young man. It was all he had, all he needed, for now anyway. He had some money left to him from his uncle to get things going, but other than that, he got an address. A shop somewhere in the middle of nowhere Wisconsin.

It was a job, something he didn't have for the past three months. Graduating college didn't guarantee anything along the rust belt. He thought about computer store, pharmacy, applying as a shift supervisor somewhere, but either he could never get the credit for the loans for a starter, or the places were soul crushing bits of corporate run off. He'd barely get enough to live even if he slaved away for a couple hours. It was moments like this he wished he'd been an engineer, or IT. Too late now. Atleast the place was a shop and atleast he could run it his way. He didn't expect anything more than a tacky tourist shop but what else was he to do. It might be his big chance.

Even on the highway, one could tell just how far it was from civilization. The exit was coming up, and it wasn't even for a town. The entire off ramp was dedicated to a single sign giving the parks name, but nothing else. No camping grounds, no hiking or fishing spots. That didn't bode well. His truck hugged the curve as he looked out over the acres of farmland designed for dairy cows. It meant that there must have been a town somewhere, it might be miles, but atleast he had that.

His road crossed several intersections, the flatness of the plane gave way to the rising bit of tree and hill. It loomed over him like a tidal wave that only got bigger and bigger as he approached. He caught it just as the sun passed behind some clouds, giving the whole bit of trees a sinister look, like an endless row of teeth from some giant monster. He shoke his head, his imagination running away with him like it usually did, even at his age.

A lonely bumpy road was next, probably doing a number on his tires, but the parking lot was a nice change to the lonely road. He wondered how many people would actually come out this far. Hikers, campers. He could only guess. He stepped out of his truck and approached with a letter in hand, the silver key to the shop within.

"Golde Locks?"

Appearance - She stands at 4'11" and has an athletic build. Her skin is the color of chocolaty caramel and her hair is long and quite thick. She needs to tie it down otherwise she looks like a mop. She has a peculiar quirk where colors in terms of her eyes hair and even her clothes seem to have a luminscent sheen to them and take on a brighter pas-telly color. These colors will actually change based upon the time of day, as if going through a hue slider.

Race - Fey
The Fey are a race of creatures that come in a wide range of shapes and sizes. Some have wings, others appear made of fire. Regardless of looks, they exist on a plane of dreams that they themselves have some control over, forming substance and structure out of chaos. Entire worlds were made of gossamer and civilization was at its peak, even reaching into other planes through the dreams of other races.
Artifact - Her weapon strangely enough is a flashlight, but the light itself within is strange. It feels quite solid when she swings it at something at close range and she can hold down the button to power it up and use it to blast others. So far it is only as strong as a solid punch and doesnt do much against hard things like walls.
Power - She can currently play with things like colors, changing one to another. This will eventually evolve into abilities involving using the powers of light and hard light

Personality - Estell is a lonely girl. She had witnessed her home and family gone in a blink of an eye and she has just fully recovered from her trauma, dedicated herself to preserving the memory of her people. She tries to be brave, to be kind, but mainly she doesn't want to be a victim. She doesn't want to stand idly by like she did two years ago when everything changed. She's polite and well natured, but she has a spark of curiousity, ingenuity, and morality. Perhaps seeing herself in those that are lost and abandoned, she won't turn her back on anyone else. Shes still haunted and she's still scared.
Dreams She wants out of the Sprawl, but she dreams of home... a new home, cause hers is gone.
Backstory - Estell's realm is near impossible to describe using words alone. It was a realm without limits, from the physical to the metaphysical. Absolute chaos given structure, and here she had a family. Mom, dad, older sister and a few pets here and there. In this place without want, one had to make up their own desires and goals. Sometimes Fey made things difficult just so they can feel that sense of accomplishment and following a routine, sometimes mirroring the family, the community, the hopes and dreams of ordinary life.
When possibility is available, paradoxically, there is an possibility where it isn't. Infact, when anything is possible, there is a possibility that everything can be destroyed, falling into nothingness. Estell was curious of the beings that dreamed. She was able to enter one, the dream of a child somewhere in the infinite realms of space and time. They played together, laughed happily when suddenly the dream became a nightmare. A creature made of nothingness ate her home, taking gigantic chomps right out of the land itself, taking with it color, Fey, their futures. Estell tried to return, tried to pull her family into the safe dream with her, but she wasn't strong enough. She was useless in the endeavor, and in fact her presence caused her parents to falter in their own escape attempt. Then the way closed behind her, and she blamed herself.
when the child awoke, Estell woke as well, a physical body in a pressuring stiffling reality not designed for her. Her friend helped her, offering atleast a place to stay, but she was different from other children. She was different in so many ways. Always the outside, the weirdo, the freak. She would go on long walks alone, trying to remember what she lost even as it drifted away from her mind with each passing day.

Then one night, she saw her pet. It looked like a wisp, a cluster of pretty lights that beckoned her with its soft song. She of course chased it, and ended up in the Sprawl.
