Jacob smiles more often then not, mostly cause his smile is the thing he likes most about himself and the imperfections on his face show that he must have laughed a lot in his life. He keeps his body reasonably fit. While most of his life has been in school, he played a little basketball in high school and college and generally maintains a reasonable physique due to being on his feet all day and occasional trips to the gym.

The Soul

Likes:

• Animation. Always fascinated with cartoons, CGI. Should have been an artist.
• Music. Don’t care which, as long as its emotional. I’ve been on a jazz bent recently.
• Movies and Television. Comedy being my favorite.
• Good food.
• Outdoors. Its so rare I can get away from it all.
• I generally like people. I have genuine interest in their lives.
• Why not. Comics, video games, board games. Shoot some of them are a scream.
• Museums, Zoos, Broadway shows. Anything that’s new and you must get out there to see.

Dislikes: (Min of 3, Max of 10 things)

• Reading. I’d rather watch the movie and those medical journals are soooo dry.
• Bars. They’re loud and while I’ve enjoyed an occasional drink, its always just sitting down and yelling over the music. Not my idea of fun.
• People that go out of their way to make things worse for someone. Why? It’s pathetic.

Positive Traits: (Min of 3, Max of 10 things)

• Big smile. I take care of these teeth for a reason.
• Adventurous is the word. There’s a lot more things I like then don’t like. I want to try everything!
• Like I said before, I’m a people person. Don’t care who or how, I can get along with pretty much everyone, or at least try to.
• I’m smart I guess. At least I like to think I am.

Negative Traits: (Min of 3, Max of 10 things)

• I can never remember names. I know it’s awful. Please don’t be offended.
• Despite my current position I still tend to like ‘kid stuff’. So things like cars, gossip, tabloids, sports, I just don’t really have an interest in.
• Because of that, it’s sometimes hard for me to find things in common with people my age.
• I’ve barely traveled. This trip is the farthest I’ve been from my house.

Perfect Date: Something that you can do together. And better yet talk while you do so. Maybe something neither of us has experienced before. I remember a great time I had where there was this bar that opened up where you throw hatchets. We both were absolutely terrible at it, but found ourselves laughing more often than not.
Worst Date: I mean, if we’re talking about first dates or whatever, you have to get to know each other. Talk to each other. I went on a date, thought it’d be fun. Movie, than a comedy club. By the end of it, I realized, I didn’t know a thing about this girl I didn’t know before. It kind of spoiled the night for me.

• Left the Hospital to find my own private practice.
• Finally found some time to myself.

The Story

As part of the application for the trip, Jacob was asked to record himself, namely a simple series of questions about why he was here, who he was. He still managed to keep his spirit up even after the series of questions to fill out his profile. “Just talk into this thing. We started? Oh, okay.” He smiles a little embarrassed, just sitting and talking to a camera as part of his application. He cleared his throat and leaned towards the camera, big smile, almost posing. In a low sultry voice. ”Why hello ladies.” He couldn’t keep it together and started laughing. “Sorry sorry. Okay okay I’m good.”

He straightened up again. His movements were pretty open and he moved a bit as he engaged. “Hi my name is Jacob Foster. I’m a doctor of family health. Which is like, diagnosing colds and the flu. It’s not that complicated. Anyway, I umm, I just opened my own office and things have actually been going pretty good lately. So I decided to go out, have a little vacation.”

“Now something you got to understand, and I know its awful, but this would probably be the first vacation I’ve been on in the last decade. Medical school, residencies, hospitals. It takes a lot of time. So there’s a lot of time I need to make up for. I’m getting off topic. Sorry. What interested me besides, you know, being a tropical paradise and all. This trip is it’s for singles. And it's supposed to like match you up, through science or whatever. But, I've always been a fan of meeting people, knowing people. So regardless. It's just exciting.”

He slowed down his words, using a hand to emphasize. “Things are more fun when you share them with someone else. My life can finally be an adventure, and I want you to come along.” He looks at the camera. "So, whoever you are, beautiful girl. I cannot wait to get to know you. I cannot wait for us to laugh together. Sail together. What else does the island have, Scuba together. It's all going to be new with someone like you."

He looked at the person behind the camera. "Ooo that was good. Was that good?" He laughed once again.

The Sanctuary

"I am Mirithal."

Mirithal allowed himself to be pulled. Keeping up with the tiny girl that led him. He would on occasion look at his surroundings from time to time but otherwise focused on his new friend. Or atleast he hoped she was what soft barks called friends. It seemed like something he could use. "Thank you Tania." He said at the beginning of their trek but it turned out for something so slow and dull witted, he did seem to speak alot. "I have many questions Tania. Most of them about you. How did you get the Sanctary? How long have you been? Are there others like you? This one would like to meet them."

He waited a few moments, then put a finger to his chin in an obvious mockery of what he thought soft barks do when they have to think of something. "Or will I have to play a game per question?" It was a very poor attempt at humor, in essence trying to bond.

The Sanctuary seemed so dark even with the lantern lights until they were out of the hallways of the interior. The exterior proved to much more colorful, and welcoming. It seemed the theme would always set around whatever was a major place. The Libraries had grand archways and places for sitting. The greathall had wider hallways and so many doors leading to other parts of the place. The walk ways that overlooked the valleys seemed almost alive and decorated considering the statuesque automatons that stood watch. Mirithal eyes seemed to glaze, shimmer, a little grape or some fruit popping off of him in excitement.
