Update; Much apologies for not having the post up last night. After work I had received a text from a friend who I've been praying for because she went to the doctor to get checked to see if she has cancer. Now, we wait a week for the results.

She was up rather earlier than usual during their whole week of break from school. It was almost impossible not to get up since she was so use to it by now. With a slight huff and sigh she had risen up in her bed, sitting on the edge of it. Her eyes lingered over towards the small couch she had in her room and saw that Ely wasn't present and she knew that she wouldn't have just went downstairs and talked to her parents. 'Weird.' She thought to herself while standing upright now and tapping her chin with her index finger. She had grown worried about Ely ever since an unfortunate event happened between the two. It was sad and even heart wrenching to find her with her already passed brother, Brandon, in the tub. Lexi stopped for a moment, closing her eyes to hold back the tears.

Lexi walked by her parents bedroom and heard slight noises so they wasn't downstairs, yet and probably won't be for awhile. With a disgusted eye roll, she went back into her room and picked up her cell phone, sending a text to Ely, just to make sure she was okay.

Plz tell me that u r okay.

She sent the text while running her slender digits through her red hair with a sigh. She couldn't really keep up with the actions of Ely, to be honest but she was always there for her - No matter what. While clutching her phone up to her chest, she pondered on whether or not if she should text her ex, Jacen or just wait to meet him later. She bit her bottom lip in deep thought then looked around before placing her phone down and going over to her bathroom, running the shower so it could heat up a little bit. Lexi walked back over to her phone to send out a mass text to all of her friends since she hasn't seen them since that last Friday at school and afterwards.

Want 2 meet @ Lakeside?

Lexi dared anyone of them to say no because Lakeside was their place to escape and get away for a little while even if they didn't need, still, it was their place to go. She showered and brushed her teeth, not really doing anything to her curly red hair as she slipped into a purple blouse with a matching purple skirt and heels to match. She threw on her blue jean jacket then grabbed her purse and cell phone while slipping out of her room. She walked down the stairs and still see that her parents haven't even made it down yet. Shameful. Lexi just shrugged her shoulders and decided to skip breakfast and just go ahead and make her way to Lakeside.

It was their break from school so of course there was going to be no traffic though and no one fluttering the walkways this morning but her and her friends. She just wanted to see them and see what they were up to. Lexi walked to her vehicle, which was a 2002 Maxima and got in then drove to Lakeside. She parked just above the hill then made her trek down to where the bridge was and leaned against the wall underneath the bridge as she'd wait for someone to come. Again, she pondered on texting Jacen because she misses him dearly and still have heavy feelings for him.

With another shrug of her shoulders, since she was about to see him in a little bit, she continued being leaned up against the wall and folded her arms over her chest as she waited.

Erin stands at a slightly-above average height of five foot seven inches, inheriting her thin lanky frame from her mother. She has little muscle, and a high metabolism rate, so maintaining her shape is somewhat easy for Erin. She has an oval shaped face, her jaw somewhat sharp and her lips thin.

She has dirty blonde hair that is always tangled, reaching past her shoulder in messy waves. Her almond shaped, blue eyes are framed with dark blonde eyelashes, usually coated with clumps of old mascara. Erin doesn't care much for appearances. She tends to wear heavy eye makeup, which eventually smudges into a mess around her eyes with chapped lips and has somewhat dried skin. Erin also owns a lot of ripped and old clothes, her wardrobe mostly consisting of old denim shorts or skinny jeans, ripped tennis shoes or boots and a lot of long sleeved t-shirts. Erin probably only has one dress, stashed somewhere in the back of her closet, never to be seen. She prefers to save up her money for her eventual escape from the town rather than waste it on clothes she's sure she'd never wear.

Erin doesn't like following the rules. Growing up in a dysfunctional household with no strict parents (or parents that even cared, for that matter), Erin doesn't know how to follow orders. With Erin, you do it her way or its the highway. She's stubborn and can come across as anti-social, as she doesn't really care much for other people. Erin feels like she's entitled to live a good life because of how shitty her childhood was, making her quite selfish and self-important.

She will manipulate people for their money. She rarely feels sympathy, so she doesn't care if her small time scams or theft hurts anybody. However, if she feels like she's close to someone, it's quite possible that she'd be willing to die for them. But it can only happen if someone actively tries to build some sort of connection with her - really, she doesn't mind that she can potentially be the friend that nobody in the group really likes..

Erin isn't book-smart. She can understand the situation well and her manipulative nature means that she would use this skill to her advantage. She follows her gut instinct, and so far it hasn't let her down.

She fears rejection, so to avoid that Erin has built up walls to stop people from getting too close. She fears that if someone gets to know her, she'd scare them away. Erin also tries to avoid commitment with the same method, she refuses to let anyone too close to her, lest they abandon her as soon as she starts to care about them.

History:

Originally born in Las Vegas, or more affectionally known as Sin City, Erin was born to two problematic gamblers. Her parents could barely afford their home, often having to move and rent various small aparments or housing, or even resorting to live inside the family car. Erin wasn't loved, she knew that. Her parents loved money way more than they loved her.

Often when her parents would run out of money to gamble, her mother would resort to prostitution to try and avoid the loan sharks and casino owners. That was Erin's life for the first seven years. Gambling, prostitution and alcohol was all that little Erin knew about. It wasn't rare for her mother or father to violently slap her around under the influence of alcohol, Erin growing to resent them with every passing day. When she was eight, her parents ran their first (and last) scam, earning enough money for the three to escape Vegas and run away to a small town where she still lives to this day.

With the money they got, Erin's parents bought a small home before going right back into gambling with their remaining money. By the time Erin was ten, it was rare for her to even see her parents, and she was absolutely fine with that. The girl decided to focus on her education, or as much as possible, until she could finally get a job and just get out of this town.

She counts the days till she turns eighteen, so she could grab what ever little money she's managed to save up with her job at the local diner so she could escape. It's only a matter of time before she's gone...
