The end of Summer marked another school ahead for the children within the Beverly Hills region. Summer had come and gone as it seemed like it was within an instant. Now that Summer is over and school is back in session, it means that old rivalries along with romances and friendships were to be rekindled throughout the atmosphere. The morning sun had risen itself up over the hills as they came alive along with the people that resided within the area. Not a cloud was to be seen in the sky as the temperature was pretty warm outside and very decent for the first day of school. It is August the fifteenth and even though people dreaded this day, others were happy it was here as it was their last year waking up so early within the morning.
She was up way before the sun was as she stared out her window and out at the beach water. She let out a sigh as things around the house hasn't been the same since her parents got a divorce and her brother was basically forced to go to Buckley High that was located just a few miles down the road. Now, they were sort of rivalries and she cared about him more than ever since he use to attend Beverly Hills High with her. Dominique placed those thoughts into the back of her head now as she couldn't think about that early this morning. It was the first day back to school and she was chosen by last year's group of royals as the Queen Bee. She had to make sure that she impacted the first day so that everyone was to know who the top bitch was at school this year.
With a smile, Dominique turned away from her window now as she went over to her walk in closet as she stood there with her hands placed upon her hips and wondered what she was going to be wearing today. It was the first day of school, after all so she would definitely want to impress almost everybody with her signature style of clothing. Dominique lips curved into a smirk as she grabbed a dress that was half black and half orange. "Perfect." She muttered to herself as she hung the dress up behind her room door then walked back over towards her closet to grab the black heels she was also going to wear.
Impressed with her decision, she waltzed into the bathroom and started up her shower, letting it get all nice and warm before she stepped in. Dominique showered for about fifteen minutes as she reached and grabbed a towel to wrap around herself. Once she was dry enough, she wrapped the towel around herself and wiped the steamed up mirror before her clean as it her beautiful milk chocolate skin. As Dominique looked at her reflection, she let out another sigh as this was the time where her brother would've came to knock upon her door and ask about his outfit but now, that moment will never ever happen again.
Again, Dominique couldn't let her emotions get the best of her today. She did her usual morning routine then exited the bathroom as she waltzed over and sat down at her vanity mirror now. She applied a touch of makeup here and a touch of makeup there as she got dressed now and reviewed over herself in her standing mirror with a smile. A knock came upon the door as her mother walked in and looked at her darling girl. "Aw. Just like me when I was Queen Bee of my school. Well, I wasn't exactly the establish one but that's a different story for another time." Her mother walked closer to her now as she placed her hand upon her shoulders.
"Look at you. So gorgeous. So beautiful. They chose the right person as Queen Bee." Her mother said with a smile as Dominique smiled as well then lowered her head. "Yeah but I am stuck without a King Bee so I'll be ruling by myself for a while. But I have two candidates and I'll talk to them both today." Dominique muttered with a sigh afterwards as she started to gather her belongings such as her orange clutch purse, cell phone and car keys. "Well, I guess I better be on my way. See you later, mother." Dominique said after a kiss that was placed upon her mother's cheek.
She stopped by the kitchen and grabbed her basket of cookies then walked out of the house. She got inside of her car while she tossed the cookies into the passenger seat. Dominique reached up and placed her shades over her eyes just as she cranked up her engine and started the drive towards the school. Once there, she parked into her parking space as she got out of the car, sunglasses rested onto the top of her head now as she walked up the stairs and into the school. When she entered the doors, she was hit with sudden reality. This was her school and no one else's. She was the ruler, the one with the stick in her hand and she had the power.
After she stood there like an idiot for a moment, she went to the auditorium, where everyone that was either a junior or a senior should've been by now, as a small but brief assembly was being held. Of course, they already knew the rules and regulations of the school, the do's and do not's and most importantly, the inside and outside of the school. After the assembly, there were handed many papers for their parents or legal guardian to sign along with their class schedules. She placed her papers in her locker that she got last week then closed it shut.
She flipped her hair as she turned around and made her way towards the football stadium that was behind the school. There was an abundance of clubs, athletics and extracurricular activities booths set up as it was something new the school was trying out this year. Activity Fair is what it was called as she went over towards the yearbook staff booth to see how they were doing as they already had a few applicants. The freshmen and sophomores were now being called to the auditorium for their assembly as she waltzed over towards the dance committee booth and placed her cookies there.
She stood there, handing out cookies to every single person that came their way. So far, so good for the first day of school, at least for her. Nothing could really damper her mood right about now as she started to smile while her eyes looked at the other booths that were setup. Some were getting more attention than others. She even caught sight of Rhett and Zeke as she waved her hand and called out their names. "Rhett! Zeke!" That was all she was going to say to them as she didn't feel the need to tell them to come towards. When Dominique called your name, you went to her anyway.
