PATCH

with KINGER and CAINE

Patch laughs in response to Clover's comment. "No, I guess he doesn't," she says with a smile. "It is strange, though, that he-"

Patch is interrupted by a popping sound. She turns toward the noise to see Caine blocking Zooble's path. "Zooble, wait!" he cries, hovering directly in front of them with outstretched limbs. "Today's adventure won't--shouldn't--be too intense." He makes air quotes around the word "intense." "It's an in-house adventure! Please, stay!"

"Well, there he is," Patch says.

"Here I am!" Kinger looks up with a smile and waves in Patch's direction. She watches as he waves for a few seconds more, then seems to remember that he was doing something and helps Gangle up.

"Um, yes?" Gangle says in a small voice.

"Okay!" Kinger says, his eyes closed in a smile. Patch watches to see what Kinger agreed to, but turns back to Caine and Zooble after realizing that Kinger was, well, just being Kinger, apparently.

I am also making it up as I go lol

I think in terms of OCs/CCs, Kinger doesn't really have much of a thought 😂 I see him as extending the same kindness as well as the same level of confusion toward everyone. I think in moments of clarity he regards everyone with a sort of gentle parent approach and in other situations just rolls with everything with a "yes and" mentality.

For Patch, I think there were only a few weeks in between the most recent episodes so I'm thinking that she's fairly new, maybe having been there for just a couple of weeks. I feel that she's wary of the more prickly characters but still friendly. I see her getting along with everyone, but maybe hasn't spoken much to Riff or Snix. And with how disjointed Jax can be, especially since he's starting to lose it a bit after episode 6, Patch likes sharing in the fun of adventures sometimes with him but is also unsure about him.

Sirpa's Catharsis

“Do you know why it bothers you?” Jay asked.

Sirpa shrugged. "I grew up having a lot of friends, so it feels weird to not have many around," she replied. "I prefer to have a 'pack' or a 'tribe.' I like having an active friend group." She thought for a moment, then continued. "I'm not super close with my family. So when I was younger, my friends were my family. At least emotionally."

Sirpa looked up from her hands when Jay spoke again.

"...with these particular people..."

What did that mean? Who-?

And then a list of usernames appeared in front of Jay like a hologram. Sirpa was surprised at how less surprised she was at the new visual. She must be getting more used to this place.

“I’ve felt lonelier being part of this online group than I’ve ever been physically away from my friends."

Sirpa understood that. People online aren't really here. They are, in a way, but that Internet connection cannot replace the feeling of someone sitting on the floor with you in your living room while you talked about life and laughed about stupid guys...

"He tried to kill me, but..." Silver Blade's words pulled Sirpa out of her own thoughts. She blinked in surprise at her statement, but otherwise showed no reaction. This seemed like a normal thing wherever Silver Blade was from, and that seemed to make sense for a person named "Silver Blade." It was like she was a super hero or something.

Sirpa eyed Silver Blade for a second with that thought in mind. Was she real? Or from another dimension? Could she be from another dimension? Sirpa pushed the thought aside. That was definitely too much to think about for right now. And besides, Silver Blade had finished talking.

"Communication's good." Sirpa smirked, then quieted herself as Jay spoke again. They asked a good question, something Sirpa hadn't thought to ask. Or think, really. She looked from Jay to Silver Blade, curious about what she had to say.

Oh hm, we’re taking it from after episode 6. But in terms of Jax I think that can be up to you! Unless anyone has a strong opinion one way or the other?

Patch turns to look as Clover approaches her. "Hi," she says with a smile and a small wave. "Sleep okay?" With the commotion of her peers around her, Patch feels herself start to wake up. She glances at the others fondly for a brief moment and takes a deep breath. It's nice to actually feel awake.

"Oh! Gangle!" Kinger shuffles forward and bends over the whimpering pile of ribbons. He extends a hand toward her. He moves like he is about to speak again, but does not. He looks at Gangle as if waiting for a response.

Riff approaches and Patch steps back to include them. "It looks like Caine might have wanted us up bright and early for our next adventure," she says. "I wonder what it will be?" She speaks with genuine curiosity. Sure, they were rudely awakened without warning, but they also weren't exactly real. Might as well just see what's coming up next, right?

Also yeah I’m sure it will help with all of our sanities if people sit out every once in a while lol I don’t mind! And yeah I think with Caine he would probably be persuaded if people give reasons that aren’t about his adventures themselves
