So yeah, Collectivly the Templars can be dickish, and even do vile things because they are people like anyone else.
But even then they mean well as an order by keeping others away from those who could otherwise sacrifice for power. Yeah, don't even pretend mages don't do that.

*coughTevintercough*

And, if you have a high enough realationship with Isabella, she stays with you anyways. So it isn't about what is "appealing" to her and your sister.

As I've already put a pin in a romance with Isabela for the Champion that's actually an argument in favour of the Templars, since she'd only have stuck around because of her love for Marian.
EDIT - Also rivalled Merril please? It feels dirty supporting her doing all of the stuff with demons. And it seems to make her stronger at the end of it.

I'm not really looking at the rivalry/friendship mechanic, since that was all about Hawke who's currently on the other side of the known world to the party.

I think we already agreed that Merrill survived the Kirkwall incident along with her clan, but after the rebellion was taken back in by them as a last resort to help keep them safe from all the wandering Mages and Templars threatening to kill them for one reason or another.

I'm ambivalent to Kirkwall. If Hawke supported the Templars, then Freddy will hate them. If she was pro mage, Freddy likes her. That's my only concern.

Since we might be heading into the Free Marches it's something to consider, as it'll set the scene for what's happening across the region.
So overall the party's in favour of supporting the Mages in Ferelden, but opposed to supporting them in Kirkwall, only supporting the Templars as the lesser of two evils?
Do you have a counter argument?

Just to check, are you arguing for supporting the Templars at the Circle in DA:O and invoking the Rite of Annulment to kill the surviving 'good' Mages, or for supporting the Templars in DA2 after the Mages resort to acts of terrorism and blood magic to fight off the perceived oppression they suffered at the Gallows?

Mages r kewl

Except for Pyromancers, they're hot (especially the Elven ones wearing bikinis. XD)
@RomanAria Worked perfectly. Gave Patch some time to mess himself up a little and got rid of two guards at the same time. Plus Owl got herself a gun to add to our growing collection.

By the way, there were three guards on our side of the building, as far as Patch could see when he checked the place out, the two guarding the door are now gone but there's a third who was patrolling the perimeter. We'd need further intel from Archangel to confirm the position of any others, unless they head our way first, but cpouldn't exactly make a call to him until we can deal with our shadow.

Either way with the third guard held up by us there should be a window of opportunity for Fox to make his move.
As soon as Owl had gone round the corner Patch turned to face the wall. He'd wanted to wait until she'd gone before he did this, as he wasn't sure how she'd have reacted if she'd had to watch. Taking a step back he flung himself as hard as he could at the hard concrete surface, being sure to keep his head tilted just right so his face would impact at an angle for maximum bruising, but without breaking any bones. A couple more impacts and the effect was complete.

Pulling his pistol from the back of his pants Patch checked to make sure a round was loaded and the safety was off before letting it hang down limply at his side. Stepping around the side of the building Patch clutched his side as though in pain from a broken rib, something he'd had a lot of experience with over the years, and lifted his gun high for the guards to see it. "Hey, hey," He called out, making sure they saw him coming, "I'm friendly, with the girl." He said, gesturing towards the warehouse entrance where Owl was waiting for him.

As the guards closed with him one stepped past, barely glancing in his direction while the other slowed a little to check him out. He made no move to stop the guy, letting him tilt his head back to examine the damage. "That looks bad buddy, you might want to get some ice on it so it doesn't bruise up too bad." The guard said, comradely.

"Sure thing," Patch replied, turning to point his pistol back down the road. "They were quick and mean, definitely knew what they were doing. I managed to shoot out one of the tires though so I don't think they could've made it too far."

The guard acknowledged his report with a nod and moved off after his companion as Patch turned away and limped towards the warehouse entrance, just in time to see the third guard coming up behind Owl. "Hey buddy," He called out, distracting the guard from the emotionally unstable woman, "Any chance of getting an ice pack or something?" He waved his pistol up towards his bruised face, which was already beginning to feel sore and swollen, making no secret that he was armed. Hopefully the wound would get them inside, at least to the canteen, if not the security office, and then they could really help Fox out.
Good News and Bad News time.

My home computer's decided to commit suicide, and so I won't be able to start the adventure for a couple of days while I get it either fixed or replaced. This shouldn't be too much of a problem though as I known people who work in IT support so I should have something ready to go early next week.

In the meantime I'm working off my iPad, so should still be around if you have any questions or comments before we get started.

Speaking of which, where were we with the Timeline debate?

Did the Hero of Ferelden side with the Templars in the Ferelden Circle, leading to the deaths of the Mages, including Wynne? Was Marjolaine killed by Leliana when she was tracked down in Denerim? Did the Hero save the Mabari hound at Ostagar? Were Leliana, Isabela, the Hero and Zevran involved in a foursome aboard the pirate's galleon during the Fifth Blight..?

The only things I won't change at this point are...
  • ...Bethany became a Grey Warden, and Carver died leaving Lothering;
  • ...the Anvil of the Void remains intact;
  • ...Isabela was romanced by Marian Hawke, the female rogue;
  • ...Morrigan became pregnant after the Archdemon was killed in Denerim, and her child has the soul of an Old God inside him;
  • ...the Tome of Koslan was returned to the Qunari, but the Arishok was killed by Hawke to save Isabela, and Hawke assisted Tallis in recovering documents for the Ben-Hassrath;
  • ...Hawke survived the trip into the Fade and was last seen heading to Weisshaupt.
@booksmusicanime@Adorabadass Both characters are accepted, feel free to move fucking Fredrick over to the fucking Characters tab as soon as he can be fucking well fucking bothered.

@Genni hate to see Hroot go, such an original character, but I agree that Henrietta would make a much better fit for the roleplay. At least she'll be able to talk to people with out them screaming "Holy Fucking Fuck! It's a fucking ghost!" all the time.

And yes @Adorabadass, I am looking at Frederick when I say that.

And just for the record @Saarebas Sasha's accepted as a pet along with Mangy.
@SpookySquid "What's going on here? put the weapon down!"

"Is this how you welcome a Zambian envoy to your city?" Chuck cried out, throwing the goblin down in front of the Elven guards, "I was promised a warm reception, not thuggery and petty crime. Now where might I find a true man of value in this wretched hive of scum and villainy?" As he spoke, and the guards were distracted by the fallen goblin, Chuck quickly slipped the knife up into his sleeve, vanishing it from view but keeping it close at hand in case his bluff didn't pay off.

With a dramatic sigh Chuck lifted his arms into the air in a sigh of exasperation, "And you haven't even asked to see my documents of identification either, have you?" He continued, playing the part of an aggrieved noble.

Opening his backpack Chuck quickly began to sort through the contents, casually keeping his distance from the guards and using the fallen goblin to help block their approach through the thin alleyway as he inspected what items he'd been given to work with. "Just spare me one moment, I have them just here..."
How'd you guys like the bastard child of Caboose and Sister on your team?

Seriously though, Kimmie seems okay, just as long as she doesn't get too oddball or slutty on us.

Have I really got to the point in my life where I'm complaining that a girl might be too slutty?
