If its a point loss issue. . . Just make it 100/25. Winners get 100 losers get 25 so everyone gets a participation award
Win-loss here.
Win- loss, points or no point. The purpose is to establish a raking system for those who want to participate. The longer we quibble the more drawn out this become and the greater the antipathy.
Alright IN perhaps next time.
At the money just looking for more opinions on the point system, so.I can take it to Mahz

I think going off a HoR style win-loss record based on the player is best. Character wins and losses don't have any bearing on where the player ranks among their peers. Like you said if the player wants for RP purposes to track their characters w/l that is on them. Offically only the players standing should count.

Points should then be applied to the players record. Thus we all start at an arbitrary point. Say 1000. Each win or loss deducts the 10%. Then it comes down to points. You can have a ranked player a few points ahead of the person behind them. They can either fight one another or continue with garnering points until the trailing player overcomes the leading player via points.

On another tangent, what about setting judges? Since these are to be ranked fights having qualified and trusted judges is important.
I have a certain crazed elf that wouldn't mind spilling blood. Posting would be limited due to work.
What do ya need done boss?
We had a point system Rilla came up with when we had ranked fights so long ago. I never judge characters only the writer. A character is only as good as their writer.
Howdy Koka. This is not my doing. . .Rilla managed to summon me back with this thread. I am content watching fighters where ever I find them.

Rilla. That dojo idea you mentioned. Those only work with patient and skilled instructors. . . And people willing to learn.
Well clearly if you win outright there is no judging. Judges only come into play to resolve disputes. You should be trying to win a fight. If it comes down to a judgement it will come down to how clearly and logically you write.
