<Snipped quote by Skallagrim>

If played straight, there wouldn't be too many people that much stronger than him.

Creation and all.

Meh. You know I kinda would like SEED to join again but I think he moved on to a more fertile arena for his destruction.
Rilla the character?
On a seperate but important subject. Melon I apologize for butting in you and LerRoy's fight but I thought I might add something to that dicussion.
I hunt goblins for sport.
They are your character. I am just beating you up with one lol.
My advice to you if you don't have any real world fighting experience is keep it simple. If you're using hand to hand skills don't make it elaborate. Throw punches that are short and crisp, the body is a bigger target than the head. Kicks should never be above waist height. I know in the movies they kick for the head, but in a real fight you want everything low and controllable.

If you're in melee, weapons provide a plethora of attack and counter-attack opportunities that also are best served directly and simply. Never be afraid to employ an elbow, kick even when armed with a melee weapon. You would be surprised how much opens up to you when you do so.
Welcome back. We are doing ranked fights for a title. We are doing tourneys and working on establishing persistent story lines for those who want continuity for their characters.
I don't have a dog in this fight. You're right LeeRoy a skilled fighter can counter another skilled fighter. But for what it's worth, usually you check a low kick with a kick. A kick to the thigh/hip area you try and block/catch with a single hand because you still have a hand free and can easily control your opponent if you get the foot. Sweep or a step in and solid punch/kick, or hell even a take down can be accomplished from here. But I never use both hands and leave myself without any way to retaliate.

For instance LeeRoy you could have written-

Seeing the man take his stance, closing the distance, Kanitah spread his feet apart slightly. Rising on to the balls of his feet, the smaller man turned his body slightly towards the approaching Fury. When the larger man launched his knee strike, Kanitah, being an accomplished fighter met the kick with a cross knee check, lifting the left knee presenting the harder point to meet Fury’s foot.

Or you could have done-

Seeing the man take his stance, closing the distance, Kanitah spread his feet apart slightly. Rising on the balls of his feet, the smaller man turned his body slightly towards the approaching Fury. When the larger man launched his knee strike, Kanitah, being an accomplished fighter merely shifted his stance, sliding his left leg back along the grass/rock ground. The simple move left naught but air for Fury’s attempted strike. Having switched his stance, with the right hand and leg now forward, Kanitah launched his own strike at the man known as Fury. The lead jab/thrust kick was aimed for the exposed hip of the balancing foot. Of course Fury might block, or even catch the foot, but Kanitah was not with his own tricks if that happened.
We could use some of you more experienced at realistic fighting to check our fight every now and then to see if we don't do anything crazy, if you don't mind. Of course if one of us doing the fight is experienced then that would settle that as well, but it wouldn't hurt to get more people's opinions.

I can always be PM'd for an opinion or post comments in the OOC section of a fight to offer insights.
Last tourney of the season should be the big one. I agree with that. The themed tourneys are a good idea and will allow characters in those genres to face off against others in the same vein.
