The theme of the tournaments and the story lines for their existence are up to the host. So if the host wants to set up a SAW-esque event they are more than welcome to. Some tournaments like the proposed realistic one makes sense to have it as a tournament, like an underground fight club thing. While a proposed fantasy event could be set in a dungeon where each contestant is released and the winner finds their way out.
Sword, you guys have been around, you know how it goes. You've scaling characters, bring it down to as near equal levels and it should be fine. It's hard to judge, I know, but I suspect you are adept enough to it with minimal inconvenience.
Rilla, your attack is easily defensible by even a mediocre fighter by doing what I did, clinching with you. So I set up Tre'Yan for you. This combination is really one that with speed and power can usually cause enough damage to get a ref to check the eyes of the opponent. I also left you the opening to get the shot you need. Also to set up the punch you want, dip your head, shrugging the shoulders to functionally absorb the blow. Then fire the left upper cut to set up the right cross, the money shot, so to speak.

It was the sweet science in effect as both punches had done their job, both had shown Dayayun that Tre’Yan had not lost hand speed. As the second punch landed there was a moment when Tre’Yan believed that the larger fighter had faded. Without waiting Tre’Yan stepped in and clenched with the larger fighter, holding him up , whispering in is his ear, “Time to die . . .Again.”

With that, Tre’Yan fired a deadly combination at Dyayun. Incredibly fast right hands, striking the body, and then the head of the larger fighter as Tre’Yan stepped away, his left hand readied. As second right hook pulled back, Tre’Yan fired a swift, straight left at the chin of Dyayun. This was a finishing combo, one designed to end the fight.

The speed of the combination established the smaller fighter as the faster man, and in any arena in the multiverse it would most likely end the fight. However the lager fighter was resilient and smart. It was probably the one thing that would allow him to detect the weakness in this attack. Two right hands, striking the body and the face, followed by a left, a fighter able to weather the storm would have a clear and open shot for an uppercut. Swift and sure the blow would in a fraction of a second hit the target.

But Tre’Yan, so sure of his speed threw caution to the wind in an effort to end this fight.
I suppose. To me it is silly. If the character wins the character carries the title.
Why in the blue hell would we take into account the actual gender of the character owner? If I play a female character ala the Dreaming Queen and she wins I won't call her the king of the ring because of my gender that'd be ridiculous.
I believe King/Queen refers to the character not the players actual gender.
@Imaginary@DJAtomika Cho may gain a complex if he gets beaten by a sword wielding warrior from Earth's past again.
Clothes are always a good choice. As for sleep, I shall mosey off. Rilla I will have your set up tomorrow so i expect a helluva punch from Dyayun.
Everyone thinks Rilla is human, I contend he is a dimensional being where sleep is not applicable.
