@PaulHaynek Sorry to have you go through all that work, but I just can't find motivation for this anymore. Thanks for running that one round.
"What? You scared of fire?" He said mockingly, taking some steps closer towards Allerun as he shifted his hand threateningly around. "Maybe if you beg nicely, I'll just slit your throat instead."

He simply shook his head, sighing, his face clearly showing his thoughts: 'Why did I get assigned together with this idiot?'

The leader, on the other hand, thought for a moment. "Stop it." He said. It took a moment for the two to realize he meant their own kin rather than the Alchemist. Both looking in confusion. "We're in an Alchemists hut. You shuffled a lot of Chemicals around." He actually took some hasty steps towards the exit, a stainless blade suddenly dashing forward from below his sleeve. "I'll finish it quick." There was no mercy in his words.

"H-H-Hey! Stop it. I have been waiting for this, THIRSTING for this!" His flames grew more intense.

The third one simply disappeared, ran, inside the bath room again, his face having looked somewhat panicking before.

It was either now, or never.
'Gestured to both of us.'

"..." Yes, it did make sense. Not only objectively but also... "One second if you may, I'll be right with you." With all said and done, Muu walked up to Ettamri. "Ettamri." She simply said. Making sure to get her attention.

Not angry or anything. "Please don't call me idiot, again. Bladedancer is fine, just like how you used to." She still remembered that one, special, day, vividly, after all. "Thanks you. I'll be scouting then, now." There was no scorn, no sarcasm, no anger at all. Just one adult asking another adult, nicely, to stop. Simple as that. With that done, the girl quickly caught up to Oscar.

"So... you're an Archer, right? Worst case, you should stay behind me." She gave him a nod, checking once again if her three blades still have not frozen over before pulling her scarf up a bit more.
Alright, cool. I'll get some changes to Y u no done by Monday and we're good to go. Just to confirm, this 'beginner mission' essentially never happened, right?
"You do?" Muu asked, not as surprised as she maybe should have been. It made sense, actually, some of them wore heavy armor and even had flails. It must have been Katya's size, that made Muu look down on her. The little priestess had quickly pretty much lost interest in any further conversation, however, and Muu decided that, even with her size, she was probably more comfortable using that staff than a dagger.

Instead, the Bladedancer turned to the Ranger that had approached them. Didn't he just call her name? Scouting? Not smiling, she responded. "Me? Not that I mind, but weren't you assigned to go with—" What was it? The idiot. That was a rather mean thing to say, considering Ettamri addressed everybody else by their profession at least. Literally not even a day out and the giant had done exactly what Muu warned her about! If she had to guess about who she meant it would have been... "—Siwon? While I, we, make camp here?"
This was truly something. How a lot of simple white could transform the world around them. The people, the countryside, the city of Andeave. Pretty much everything. No spring, summer, or autumn was capable of bringing forth such change. Yet, as beautiful as the pure-white landscape seemed, it was now deadlier than ever. With even nature itself out to kill the unwary.

Nonetheless, it was precisely thanks to these circumstances that missions like these existed. With a pay way above what it was usually worth. And while her Teacher mentioned that the monsters were less affected by these harsh weather conditions, surely they couldn't go completely unaffected?

Still, with Muu having somewhat taken the position to guard the rear of the wagon, her eyes held on lookout for potential dangers. Although the chance for an ambush was super low, one could never be too sure. And having a pair of eyes being somewhat watchful was better than nothing at all. Aside that, she simply somewhat kept to herself, making sure to follow her Master's advice of keeping toes and fingers active while also making sure she could still draw her three blades. Although Muu couldn't deny she had to keep herself from joining into this stupid ear-catching tune the priestess, who was essentially just a few meters in front of her, was singing. Even after all this time, as much as half-a-year was worth, she still...

No.

This was simply the power of being a blissfully ignorant and innocent child. Combined with the boredom of the monotonous (but beautiful) landscape.

Finally, however, there seemed to be some change of pace as the wagon, and the entire group, nearly stopped on Ettamri's command somewhere front. Great. A non-frozen way-too-wide river without a bridge, as far as Muu could as she moved closer to the rear of the wagon — this time giving the landscape behind them a closer look to make sure there was nothing.

Muu was used to following commands so, as the gigantic noble woman took the lead to state the obvious, she didn't really mind at all. And while it seemed somewhat counter-productive that Ettamri didn't put the Bladedancer on scouting duty, Muu simply concluded it was because she still held a grudge. So much for leader material.

Not that it bothered her, there was something Muu had wanted to do anyway. With a simple shrug and one last scan over the snowy scenery behind them, she turned towards Katya. Who was, thanks to dangling on the back of the wagon, currently taller than her.

"Hey..." She greeted the girl with a smile and a small hand-wave. This was their priestess. This was someone like— like the most important person in their party. Priests were a rarity, and Muu actually had her reasons to be grateful for that. But now? Now there she was. Simple as that.

"I know you got your—" She was still a child, right? "—super awesome magic, but I was wondering, you got any weapons? If worst comes to worst? A dagger, knife, or similar for your size?"
Yeah, okay, talking about this is never easy. But it's even more ass-y to just go silent. And I have been kinda avoiding writing this, and dragging it out even further, until now. Sorry.

So, with the test run done. I'm still up for this, definitely. But I don't think I can currently keep up with the 'expected' pace for what was it? One post every two days?

Life has been getting a lot more hectic for me (in a positive way), and is bound to get even more-so once I start new job in a few months, and there's only so much things I can, want to, pay attention to in my free-time on a regular basis, among the other RPs I'm already participating.

Sure, combat-posts and all that jazz are relatively quickly and don't take more than 10-20 or so minutes amirite goat :^). But it is 10 minutes of interruption nonetheless.

Buuut if like, what? One, two, maybe three posts(At which point we're nearly at a 48h schedule again, ohohoho) here and there is okay with you. Then I can stop feeling avoiding feeling bad in regards to this RP because of the stated reasons and get some changes/work done relatively fast!
After the meal with Oscar&co, Muu had some preparations to do herself. Sure, the winter had been going on for a bit longer than just yesterday, but she had been doing fine enough earning money without having to do what she was now committed to. Now, however, this was exactly the issue. After having made Ettamri angry enough that she more-or-less (un)intentionally ignored the Bladedancer's question, she simply went to ask someone else. And who better to seek guidance from than from the very guild that taught her Art?

Keep blood bumping through hands and feet.
Get as much sleep as possible.

Wasn't that kind of a contradiction?

Monsters care less about the environmental hazards.
Careful about your jumps in the snow.
Don't move too fast, sweating is bad. During normal travel anyways.
Don't let your scarf freeze.

Hopefully, they wouldn't have to deal with any encounters.

Buy fat.
Get wool underwear.
...

And so on.

In fact, Muu's shopping list had potential to be so long that she couldn't afford it all. That was, however, mostly thanks if she were to buy a completely new wardrobe. Mandatory travel stuff to get through the nights was already present and given, with the exception of food, yet the girl still had to buy a bunch of wool socks, gloves, and underwear, fat, and snow shoes. There was even a little bit left for a second scarf, just in case.

Really though, the most important thing was to keep warm, was it not? Thus, Muu simply ended up throwing everything she had on her. Which wasn't that much, after all. Bladedancer uniform, school clothes from a time she couldn't remember, the winter cloak that came with a hood, and her newly acquired weird-lookin tennis racket shoes and the wool stuff!

Much like the fiend knight, Muu, too, was somewhat late. Giving a simple one-word apology, it did not take a genius to understand what they were doing. The bags weren't all too difficult to move and Muu quickly got to work.

She couldn't deny, however, to be somewhat surprised at the lack of others wanting to socialize. Earlier it had seemed they were all about goofing around! Or, maybe, they were actually reliable?
"Ahh, I'm sorry again! I suppose today is one of those days, is it not?" He chuckled as more flasks and tubes crashed to the ground as they continued their search.

"Those are... woman's clothing. A wet floor. An open window." He continued investigating as he knelled down to see how wet the water still was. "The room's not that cold."

"It's all pretty obvious, is it not?" His friend joined in, before shrugging. "Either way, does it really matter? You know how it goes. The usual. Also, it's an alchemist shop, so it only makes sense." "Regretful indeed, but it is what it is." Closing his eyes and shaking his head, the leader sighed before leaving the room together with his henchmen in tow.

"It's all pretty obvious, is it not?" He spoke now to Allerun, pointing his finger at him. "You are here—"

CACHUNK

An entire shelf fell over as the tallest vividly took a step to the side and turned around, his face looking like he could barely contain his pleasure. "He...hehe... HAHAHA. I'm so-so SORRY! But..." He opened his palm, in which a globe of fire formed. ...but the clumsy alchemist is gonna burn his own house down!" A somewhat distorted and weird smile formed on his face, as his next words were pronounced in a rather creepy tone. "Collateral damage..." Someone who was about to die didn't need to be fed any more lies, after all.

"Tzch. Of course he couldn't just shut up." The other one sighed.
As quickly as the situation seemed to escalate, thanks to Ettamri's temper, things quickly calmed down at the behest of the magician and the interruption of a... midget. Yes, a midget. Unlike the Fiend Knight's introduction, doing the same while being small and cute gave somewhat of a leeway. Enough leeway that Muu's first impression of the girl was her certainly being a lot less weird by comparison.

As a matter of fact, the midget turned out to be a priest. Maybe a level one-spell-only priest, but a priest nonetheless. About the only proficiency whose mere presence earned their pay even if they did not have to lift a single finger. After all, nobody getting hurt was still the best possible outcome.

Holding back a giggle about the outcome between Siwon and the priestess, Muu simply nodded to Oscar's invitation. "I'd take you up on that offer. Thank you." It was nonetheless hard to tell if she was actually grateful. At least Muu didn't sound very excited. Nonetheless, who was she to turn down a free meal? Although, with the refusal of Ettamri's help she likely had to seek her greedy Guild Master's advice first before setting off. But surely there was enough time.
