Not my own words, but: "Enjoy memes and have a good time online, but develop a solid sense of self-worth that is rooted in a reality that doesn't disappear when the battery charge is empty."

So.. let me double check, cos im not sure i understand.

an MP21-AC Handau
Power: 140
Weight: 85
if using the armament of
2x AFC-40/L Autocannon
MGR-2A Anti-tank Missile
(which is 36 weight)

with all that we are talking 131 power consumed yes?

So the FRAME has 140 power; it also has 85 weight. The weight of everything attached to a FRAME (including the FRAME's own weight) is subtracted from the power value.

140-85 = 55.

The weight of the equipment totals 36 (8+8+20)

55-36 = 19. The FRAME has 19 unused weight points and consumes 121.
2- I... dont see power anywhere but on the mech description. i do understand this my be because i am an idiot and or blind.

It's only in the FRAME descriptions. Everything that has weight is subtracted from the FRAME's power value. It's kind of abstract and just serves as a way to theoretically determine how much weight in equipment a FRAME's generator can power.

Yeah, the original set of mechs from the first game were all stolen from various anime of the time xD Harmony Gold later got their shirts up about it (as they do), and the visual images of the mechs quietly disappeared for a few years, before coming back as 'project phoenix' with the new 're-seen' designs. It's a crazy story.

Actually, quick question. Could a FRAME dual wield autocannons? One in each hand?

Yup; if the weapon entry states it can be used in a single hand. In the case of the AFC-40/L, it can be:

Mount: carried, one or two hands

Larger autocannons and heavier calibers may require two hands for stability. Of course, wielding two also requires you to have enough spare power/weight.
You can mix and match different types of weapons as well, if both are one-handed.
The way it looks, from most characters written up so far, you guys are newer additions to the P. Panthers. But if anyone wants to have been tagging along for a longer period of time, that's fine. The unit was started three years ago, so I'd expect a few veterans, in fact. For the newer guys, the first mission will be an evaluation, of sorts.
@SophrusThat'll do! You could add a picture or short description of his appearance, if you like. Add it to the Character tab once you're set.

Mecha are pretty soft SF anyway; walking combat machines aren't really particularly practical and plausible, and take more than one 'handwave' of reality to make them anything even approaching practical.
Some kind of invented material or power source usually, to allow them to exist. With most Gundam series it's the invention of a new power source or type of construction material, and it's the same in most other settings as well - Battletech/Mechwarrior (whatever) has the Neurohelmet and Ferro-Fibrous Armour, as well as miniaturised fusion reactors. Heavy Gear has it's own similar things, as does pretty much every other mecha-based setting. Everything else is completely stylistic choices; in the first Battletech novels before the 'feel' of the universe was completely nailed down, the mechs did actually move more like those in most anime; doing combat rolls, dives and such. It was only after more of the books came out that they became the slower-paced 'walking tanks' everyone thinks of now.

It's all a matter of personal taste, and it's obviously up to Aristo which we go for. Personally, I'm hoping more of the anime Real Robot side, because that's more to my taste. Whichever it is though, we should probably ensure its' consistent between all of us.

@EmptyArmorBernard looks good! In the FRAME sheet, could you specify how many of each weapon you've got and the weight, like in Commodore's? & The Weight section just below power is only for the base weight of the machine, before equipment is added.
Otherwise, he's all set and can be added with the other chars!

@Sophrus Your FRAME sheet checks out; could I ask for a little more substance in your character sheet? Since we're using Advanced standards, I'd like to see a bit more depth/paragraphs.
Ahhh, okay, that makes sense. I think I'll put more thought into my loadout in the morning. For now I have a stopgap solution.

Everything looks good now! Also, there will be new weapons and categories of equipment popping up after the first operation, so don't feel like you have to go all-out just yet.
Also, I had just noticed, but three MGR-2As would have put you over capacity anyway: 140 power minus the Handau's 85 weight leaves 55 to play with.

@Commodore Robot One more thing - Taking two autocannons puts you over-capacity. The weight value of the FRAME itself is also subtracted from its power value, like equipment. (140p-85w=55w spare)
So you could either double up on autocannons or AT launchers, but not both.
