Not my own words, but: "Enjoy memes and have a good time online, but develop a solid sense of self-worth that is rooted in a reality that doesn't disappear when the battery charge is empty."

What's it like in the Erg? There are so many places to choose from and I can't decide where I want my tribe to set up shop.
Yo @Aristo, I was just wondering: would it be possible for us as players to have some characters on the Timluk side?

Also kudos for just being here man and keeping it alive.

My idea was to have the RP take place from the Fiorentian perspective, with a sprinkle of Timlukid POV here and there, but if you're dying to get into the Timlukids' heads, then I don't have a problem with setting up characters or scenarios outside your nation's boundaries.

This did start as a NRP, but if you'd like to move into a wider direction, with active world-building on top of the groundwork, by all means go wild! I'm all for some creative liberty and coloring outside the lines.
I'm particularly interested in the Eastmarches/Meridion regions; they're situated a bit further from the main civilized lands. Might be a nice place for a "barbarian" society?
Is there some more info on the Salished Empire that we could use & reference when creating our own faction cultures?
Hype!
@Aristo I asked a while ago about the rituals and ceremonies in the Ambrusian religion, and I'd like to ask again now. What kinds of rituals and ceremonies are in the Ambrusian religion?

Sorry I overlooked this. For starters, there is a Christmas-equivalent that celebrates the birth of Saint Fiorentino, and an Easter-like vigil recognizing the day he passed on to God's fold. I purposefully wanted to leave the nuances of religion vague, as players will likely have regional differences in the ways they observe the rituals and services; with the nitty-gritty of practice largely left off-screen, secondary to the main story and characters within.
We'll call the Christmas-equivalent "Day of Conception," or "Conception Day." And let's call the Easter-equivalent "The Passing," or "Passing Day."

Visually, imagine Fiorentinan mass much like you would a Catholic one in a great city like Rome - an introductory rite, reading of scripture, rites preparing the altar, dialogue between the congregation and the priests in psalms, concluding prayers, etc. There isn't a communion equivalent, since Fiorentino didn't have a Last Supper-type of gig. Picture choirboys, braziers billowing incense as they swing back and forth, lots of gold and red, droning chants, yadda, yadda.
Unconventional elves => best elves. Piss on the clichés!

I'm down for this; looks like a fresh take on fantasy that's sorely needed.
@AristoI am fairly sure my team is full right now, but I tell ya hwat. If you send me a character concept, I'll see if I can squeeze you in. And yes, werewolves are a thing. I am adding info for them now. But I am not sure if I will allow a beginning werewolf. Maybe. No vampires however.

Thanks; I'll get to reading and whip something up soon!
I'm back home, woohoo!

I know I've been a bit on the sidelines for a GM, and apologize for it. I will do my best to move things along and have more of a presence in the OOC. Thanks to everyone for sticking around and your quality work!
@POOHEAD189
Mind if I hop in? I wanted to jump into a one-character role for a while, since I'm running my NRP at the same time and managing a few bodies at once.

I also wanted to ask if lycanthropy is or could be an element of your setting; I've had a recent obsession with werecreatures lately.
