John had been one of the first people off the bus when it had stopped, grabbing his bags and hurrying off, hopping off of the last step. Immediately he could feel the energy the sunlight gave him. It flowed through his veins, making him feel happier and more alive. He listened intently as Mr. Hawthorn gave a welcome speech and claimed a spot as second in line behind a girl who seemed eager to be first. When a fight broke out over who would be entering the facility next John decided to speak up. "While you two are bickering, I do believe they are waiting for their next meta to waltz on through," he said with a smirk, the energy from the sunlight giving him new found confidence.

Brief Bio: John was the golden boy before this all happened. He got straight A's, had the perfect 10 girlfriend and was about to go into his senior year. Until that night. He was walking with his girlfriend down a street. He'd felt great the entire day. Like he was 3 years old again and had no interest in sleep. It was dark, save for the street lamps that lit up the sidewalk every few feet. And then he stepped out. Out of the shadows, gun pointed and bang. John's girlfriend flew back with the impact of the bullet. John lost it. The energy that he had felt all day was released in a blinding flash of light. And the killer was gone. Everything that had been in front of him was blackened and crumbling. John's girlfriend died in his arms and the media blamed him. He was tried for his girlfriend's murder by meta hating prosecutors and the judge sentenced him to the Hawthorn Facility.
