Battle of the Academies

John looked out of his window at AA and saw the new arrivals. One was beautiful. Blonde hair and blue eyes just like the rest of her family. The other was also beautiful but in her own way. She struggled a bit with her luggage and then a kid came and helped her. He then turned back to the blonde girl who was marching into the school. He then turned back to unpacking his bags. This was his third year at AA so he knew most of everything that worked. His single person dorm was decorated with bookshelves and spheres of light that he had created, and placed himself. "I have a feeling this is gonna be a great year," John said as he placed some pants in his dresser.

Fletcher watched as Ashley was dragged to the dungeon. What was she doing challenging the instructor like that? He waited until the instructor had left and then he snuck down the stairs. Fletcher had been at the school for four years now and was always a bit of a trouble maker. He was quite familiar with the dungeon. He waved his hands and the shadows around the door broke off the lock and the door swung open. he saw Ashley chained to the wall and grinned. "Ashley, Ashley. What have we gotten ourselves into ?"

John looked up at Dominic and gave him a poisonous look. "What the hell is wrong with you?!"

John looked back at the angry mob and sighed. "What the hell!" John shouted as he ran towards them. As he looked on the faces he realized that most of them were the people who had cheered on Dominic. John's hands itched and tingled with electricity but he refrained. He stormed towards the mass, glaring at Dominic and shouted, "STOP!" But to no avail.

John walked back out to the plaza, and was greeted by a rush of kids, asking about what was going to happen. "Everyone just calm down. We're gonna have a little sleepover in the plaza tonight. Why don't you guys find your friends and play some games in the plaza while we get this all worked out." Many of the kids were excited by the prospect of a sleepover. God how were they gonna fix this? There were 6 year olds without parents or siblings to stay with. John ran his hand through his hair and went to look for anymore kids.

"Well even if we keep it a secret, I'm sure there are others out there with powers. It won't stay secret for long."

"Maybe I should explain that," John said, rubbing the back of his neck nervously. "A few weeks ago I accidentally burned a hole in my couch. My parents had no explanation but it kept getting stronger. Soon I was shocking everything I touched. And thankfullyl I got it under control. but I don't know how it happened. Or why."
