Finn grinned as the brown haired boy cleared some room for him to sit down. He quickly took the seat, smiling at the pair. He grabbed a plate and began serving up food, looking up at the two while doing so. "I'm Finn by the way. Finn Beckett, from Principle. Not that I feel like you should know that I'm from Principle just so I can rub it in your face. I just think that it's sort of basic knowledge about me. I'm sorry I'm rambling," Finn said. He could feel his face growing hot as the blood rushed to his cheeks, an occurrence that was quite common when he felt like he'd embarrassed himself.

Name:John Kingston

Age:19

Element:Water

Feel for element:John loves his element, and the power it gives him. He's lived on the beach for the past few years, just trying to be closer to the water and learn how to do more with it. He sees water as his way to change the world, for better, be it through healing others, or defeating those who seek to harm them.

Appearance: John is a taller kid, standing at about 6'3. He's pretty slim, although he has a little bit of definition on him. His face is clean shaven and his dark brown hair is always messy looking, as if the wind just blew straight through it. He has emerald green eyes with small flecks of blue.

Personality: John is a kind hearted, if somewhat sarcastic individual. He loves to joke around, and is very loyal to his friends. Behind all the sarcasm and joking is a genuine desire to protect those who need protecting, and a loathing for injustice. He's intelligent, although in a more street smart way, rather than someone who is quite bookish, although he was an almost straight A student.

History: John lived most of his life in a small town, populated by washed up actors and musicians. John's parents fell into the former category. As such, John didn't want a lot in his life. He decided to pursue the arts when he was a young boy, and his paintings decorated the house. He later took on film making and became quite skilled.

His powers were always a source of concern for his parents, but John adored them. They allowed him to do so much and help so many. He went to a great school and got a great education. He probably would've gone to a great university, had he not had the incident.

The incident in question happened on the last day of school, when John was walking home from a party that had been thrown by a friend. He saw a man, attempting to steal a woman's purse. He jumped into action, generating a stream of water to take out the man. Except the water didn't hit the thief. Instead the pressurized jet hit the woman, and she was pushed to the ground, smacking her head. She would later die while John was chasing after the man. When he discovered the woman's death John decided to run off, and hone his powers. So he left town, escaping the charges being pressed against him. He's now living in a little house on the beach, training and laying low.

Going to have my Water character up later.
As Finn entered the dining room he bit his fingernails nervously. He'd always been a bit nervous around people, and there were quite a lot of people here, and unfortunately, none that he knew. His roomie had yet to come down, so Finn was left to find a seat on his own, and introduce himself. He'd been popular back home in Principle, he was a nice kid and he was known for throwing some pretty good parties but none of his friends from home had pursued being a Guard.

Finn scanned the room, looking for an empty seat. He finally spotted one, right next to a blonde girl (@tabbycat) who was talking to a brown haired boy (@_Middle_). He had seen both of them outside the tower, and he figured this would be a good opportunity to meet some more people. He strolled over to the table they were seated at and began speaking. "Umm, I'm sorry to interrupt. Is this seat taken?" Finn asked, gesturing to the empty seat, nervously fiddling with his sweater.
Cool, I want around five people before I set up an OOC
Finn had finished unpacking after introducing himself to Logan and decided to head down for dinner, seeing as how his stomach had been growling at him for the past fifteen minutes. He looked down at his clothes to make sure he looked well enough to go to dinner. His parents had always told him that how you dress tells people quite a lot about you. He decided that the blue sweater and khakis looked fine and he quickly made his way towards the elevator. He walked by a few of the other recruits rooms and reminded himself to get to know some of them. he was going to be around them for a year and a day after all.
I'm definitely interested. And if it's cool with you I'd like to reserve water.
I see what you mean. To be honest I haven't thought about it a whole lot. It came to me last night and I just felt the need to get it out there and see if people were interested. When it comes to post length however, I'm not a huge stickler about it. I generally prefer at least a paragraph so if you wanted to write more then that would be fine.
So I just sort of had an idea for an RP. Basically, we'd play as a bunch of teenagers who were kidnapped by some sort of group looking to advance humanity. The company experimented on our characters and after many of these extremely painful experiments, our characters gained special abilities. When our characters escape from the facility they quickly band together and decide to take revenge on those who ruined their lives. They become vigilantes with little respect for the law. So yeah, we'll sort of be playing as bad guys, and I think I'll have a group of heroes begin trying to take them down once we get a little ways into the story. It'll probably be high Free or low Casual, I'm not sure which.
