^^^^^^ What he said. Trust me I've seen Grey's Anatomy
I picked my own sign to because you know I'm a teensy bit narcissistic and couldn't pass up the chance to glorify Capricorns everywhere XD
Yay I'm glad to see this is actually getting some interest
Awesome! Hopefully we get a few more people interested.

The World of Mages

There is a world that you know nothing about. A world where magic exists and mages save us from certain death. And all of this is just in front of us. But we never notice. In this secret world, the mages of each country are governed by a Sanctuary, which basically just makes sure you don't try to bring back age old gods to destroy the human race. You laugh but that's a thing that happened.

There aren't many different races. Not as many as most books would lead you to believe at least. There's no hot as hell, sex bomb elves. There are werewolves but I'd recommend avoiding them. Same thing with vampires. They don't sparkle. They eat people. Kind of a big difference. There are goblins. They're rather nasty though. And there's the Children of the Spider. But don't get me started on them. Creepy bastards have a bad history with the Sanctuary.

Magic

There are two basic types of mages. Elementals and Adepts. Elementals are rather simple. They control the elements. Adepts is where it gets a little more confusing. An Adept could be able to do anything from walk on the ceiling, to Necromancy. They pick what they want to train in, though they often have to pay a price for abilities such as invulnerability.

The Story So Far

Three weeks ago, a group of mages calling themselves the True Sanctuary, separated from the Irish Sanctuary and declared war. Since then, the mages working for the Irish Sanctuary have been attacked numerous times by the rebels, and the Irish Sanctuary has begun to focus all their efforts on dealing with the rebellion. The mages of Ireland are in an all out war, and anyone who can fight worth a damn is expected to help. The Grand Mage, China Sorrows, has called for the forming of specialized squadrons to help fight this war. In this war, no one is safe.

So for those of you who don't know, this is an RP based around the world of the Skulduggery Pleasant series. If you haven't read the books, I strongly recommend doing so, but it isn't required at all for participation in this roleplay. The info I gave you above is probably rather confusing, but since there's a whole hell of a lot to cover, I figured I'd go much more in depth if this garnered enough interest to make it to OOC. So anyways, basically our characters will be part of one of these specialized squadrons mentioned above, tasked with thwarting the plans of some of the rebel mages. If anyone's interested just leave a comment below. I'd like at least 4 or 5 more people before I make an OOC.

Fine Arts Building/Courtyard

Galahad was strolling slowly through the crowd of people, towards the Fine Arts Building, when a hand firmly latched onto his shoulder. He spun around to have a look at who it was, only to grimace at the sight in front of him. The owner of the hand was none other than a high schooler by the name of James Hastings, and also one of Galahad's least favorite people at Midnight Private. "Awwww come on Gally don't give me that look," the other boy said, as he let a smirk cross his face. "First off, don't call me "Gally". That is a name reserved for friends, and you are not a friend. You're a pestering child who just wants someone to do your work for you," Galahad replied, his words colder than the snow that was starting to pepper his hair. "But Gally we are friends. Now here's the thing. I need some help. I have this paper due tomorrow and I haven't started. Which I know comes as a - the boy's plea for help was cut off by a harsh look from Galahad. "Alright, alright. I'll check back again tomorrow. It's not due until three in the afternoon anyway." And with that Galahad was left in the middle of the walkway.

Left with a bitter taste in his mouth after James' departure, Galahad figured he'd like to sit with someone who wasn't in the business of mooching him for free tutoring. A lot of people seemed to think that just because Galahad offered up free advice (as well as the occasional bit of alcohol for those going through some really tough stuff) he offered up help in all areas of life, including school work. As he was looking for a suitable place to sit, he spotted Lillian, a girl in his year who he considered to be a friend. He made his way over to her, smiling as he took the empty seat next to her just as the Headmistress got up to speak. When the speech was through, Galahad turned to Lillian. "So I trust you had a decent winter break?" he asked, a friendly smile on his face.
@Rika Do you mind if I make a Marked character as well as an Unmarked one or do you want us to just make one character for the time being?

Edit: Too late, my Unmarked character is coming to life. I'll PM you them both and then you can decide if you want to get rid of the Unmarked one XD
