Finally got my post up :D

As Bastion patrolled through the city of Gotham, sticking to back alleys and shadows, he began to notice something odd. Granted, most of Gotham could be considered "odd" but this still caught his eye. Every manhole cover he passed, every entrance to the sewers, were guarded by men. Sometimes just one guy with a concealed gun, sometimes three with their sub machine guns on full display. Finally, Bastion came to a stop behind a parked car, and observed three men, no noticeable weapons on them, patrol around a manhole.

"Why do we even have to keep going around this stupid thing? What does the boss thinks gonna come out?" one of the men asked his partners. "Look, I don't give the orders, I just follow 'em. Boss told me to watch any sewer entrances for signs of the Bat. That's what I'm doing," another man replied. Mention of Batman peaked Bastion's interest. If the mob were looking for Batman, and they found him first that might end very poorly.

And so, faced with going home or going down into the sewers to maybe find the Batman, he made the obvious choice. The thugs didn't put up much of a fight. He sighed, kneeling down he struggled to lift up the manhole cover, finally grunting and shoving it off. Damn it that thing is heavy he thought. Luckily this was a sleazier part of town, where infrastructure wasn't exactly a top priority. Anywhere else and that cover might have been welded down to keep people like him out of the sewers.

Now that the cover was off, nothing was stopping Bastion from dropping down to the depths of Gotham. Looking down the hole he cringed at the smell of the sewers, but shook his head. This was real hero work he was doing here. He wasn't going to be shooed away by a smell. He began climbing down the ladder and reached the bottom, stepping down into sewer water. He felt around his utility belt for a small flashlight that he kept. He grabbed it and flicked it on, illuminating his path in front of him as he made his way forward, looking for any clue as to where Gotham's mysterious defender was.
Interested, I'll get a character up in a bit :D

William and Jessica were not having a very good day. William reflected on how poorly this excursion had gone for them. It had seemed so simple. Infiltrate the scientist's midway facility, a sort of Purgatory for captured supernaturals, where they were held until the scientists brought them to the real hell holes. It had not gone according to plan. They'd gotten in all right, through use of an invisibility spell and some clever use of explosive runes. However, the spell had worn off right in the middle of the facility. That had not been fun.

"You remember that time in Jersey?" William shouted to his sister over the sounds of fist meeting face. They were currently surrounded by guards, and both of them were locked in combat with an opponent, moving to fast for anyone to get a good shot in. Jessica spared a second to look back at her brother, offering a nod. They both rolled backwards, meeting up back to back, and William took a deep breath. Then, without warning, he splayed his hand towards the floor, forcing all the air out, away from the siblings, and knocking the guards off their feet, throwing them into walls.

Jessica laughed before running off towards the containment ward, followed by her brother. In the ward, they found a werewolf, a witch, two fairies, and vampire. They were worse for wear, bruised all over, but they were ready to escape. With the increase in numbers, their escape was easy, and as they stood outside, William spoke to them. "We got you out. Now go, find somewhere to hide. Or fight if you want to, but don't let anyone think that this all isn't happening. Warn others," he said. The supernaturals nodded, before rushing off. Jessica smiled at her brother, before snapping her fingers. A flame sprung up in her hand and she flexed her fingers, growing the flame, before hurling it at the facility. Together, the twins spread the fire, until the containment center was beyond saving. William looked grim as they walked off. But it had all needed to be done.

Shorty McShort post :)

Location - The Hospital

Charlie was aware of some shouting. Some shouting right in his ear, people yelling. "Move! Get out of the way!" Well, that meant he wasn't dead. His side still hurt like a bitch though, it burned. Were wolf bites supposed to burn? He wasn't really all that sure. He wasn't exactly an expert on wolf bites. But even now, as he was lying here, something felt off. He could feel something changing, he could feel his wound, slowly but surely, healing. That couldn't be normal. Not by a long shot.

He was wheeled through the halls of the hospital, past rooms of all sorts. He could've sworn he passed by Billy but he figured that was a delusional hallucination. Why would Billy have been at the hospital? He was wheeled into the OR, and that was where he passed out. Or was put to sleep. He wasn't quite so sure.
Should have a post up tonight :)
