John laughed at Liz's casual tone when she suggested "pairing up." She basically told him to go find someone to have kids with and then moved on to gardening. This really was a crazy world.
"Wow. Mind if I come in?" John asked, leaning against the door frame and smiling. It was nice to have a conversation with someone who wasn't a crazy anti normal activist.
John raised an eyebrow. "Really?" he asked, amazed. "Have you ever been outside your house even?"
"Yeah I figured it out. That's why I was laughing Kal El," John said sarcastically. He put his feet up on the coffee table and looked at Nic. "How long have you been here anyways?" John asked.
John nodded. Several months of food. This place was getting better and better.
John was glad that Riley had come with them. He wasn't to positive that the clan would have kept her safe.
"I'm sorry about that," John said. His parents had died right before he ran off but they had always been close. He couldn't imagine them not wanting him.
Yeah I hope we get an onslaught of people though
"How much food do you think we have left?" John asked. He wanted to know if this plan was worthwhile. He didn't much like the idea of starving.
John was a bit taken aback by the question. What skills did he have to offer? "Well I guess I'm a pretty good shot. I'm smart too. I've got pretty great eyesight and I'm definitely not last place in a race. I could go on supply runs easy enough," he said.
