John nodded at Lily and he set out down the street towards the east, the way he had come from. He assumed that anybody who wanted to come would be following. This would give him a good chance to get to know people.

"Well then Miss Fiesty," John said laughing. "Would it help you if I shared my own story? Let's see. My mother left me at an orphanage when I was 3. I still had the balloon that my grandmother had given me. I was always a trouble maker at the orphanage and when I was 16 I ran away with a girl I had met but we split up when we hit Chicago because we were both broke. Then I started manufacturing weapons for the gangs and so I'm the reason a lot of people are 6 feet in the ground right now. After a couple of gangs put a hit out on me I ran and I pushed myself too hard. I passed out and I woke up and was forced to join this band of misfits. So you aren't the only person with a shitty life. Actually I'm sure a good amount of the people here have more of a reason to hide their past so why don't you just get over yourself!" John shouted. He was shaking. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have blown up like that," he said as he stood up and quickly walked to his room.

"Well let's see. Both my parents went here and so I was always destined to be here. I'm from California. And I have a brother too. His names Fletcher. But he decided to go to BB. He's not the nicest person at our family reunion," John said laughing.

"No problem," John said to the guy in the gas mask. "Make sure none get through. I'm gonna go help Jen look for supplies!" he shouted as he ran up to the third floor and started raiding the cafe.

John noticed two other survivors coming towards the store and he opened up the gate, just enough that they could slide through. "COME ON!" he shouted.

John nodded. This girl was strange. She was a mystery. But he did have a thing for mysteries. "So where are you from Elizabeth?"

John turned and saw Sky. She was small but she had volunteered. He was sure that she would be useful. "Grab your weapons and meet me outside in a few minutes," he said. he ran up to his room and grabbed his revolver, some ammo, and his hatchet. Then he came back to the front of the warehouse and waited for any more volunteers.
