John laughs as he moves over to sit across from Erica. "I don't doubt it. Thank you so much by the way. What can I do to repay you?" John asked, flashing a smile. His day had just gone from shitty to the exact opposite.

John kept step with Liz, watching as the soldiers disintegrated or just froze. He nodded at Liz's suggestion of finding escape pods. "Seeing as how I don't think anyone here can fly an alien mother ship, we should probably go with the escape pods idea. John took a quick inventory of the group. Everyone but Liz seemed to be unharmed. That was good. They'd get off this god forsaken ship and probably ship them to a hospital. Or not. What would the government do with a bunch of people with superpowers? Probably nicer things than what the Vitus would do.

"Really?! That would be great!" John exclaimed, grinning like a fool. "I promise you, I'm not a wannabe. I'm actually really good. Well so I've been told." This was it. He was gonna get an agent and land a spot on a TV show or movie. In years when interviewers asked him about his big break he'd tell them about this moment.

John sighed. "Nothing yet except that commercial. It's pretty hard to secure jobs without an agent. It seems a tad unprofessional," John said. "This is kind of crazy but, do you know any agents?"

John extended his hand to the girl. "I doubt I'll be fighting too much. I don't even know the full extent of my powers. Or how to use them," John said. He was extremely interested in these powers. It seemed that only a few people had control over their abilities and he wasn't one of them. He didn't really know what his powers were. However, he believed they were something powerful. Why else would he have been the only prisoner in his room?
