I think I've developed arthritis recently. I should probably invest in a better mouse pad or something.

@ShadowVentus@SMS, so, your turns so that I can post?

I should have mine done before the end of the day. Just currently am a bit busy cause of some school stuff that came up.
@supertinyking

Glad to have you on board!
The rest of the week was mostly uneventful for Mai. Aside from her duel with Taka and her training sessions with Tocsax on magic, she spent most of her time reading about other timelines in the Multiverse that caught her attention. The one where people piloted giant robots was one of the timelines that she liked reading about, especially the one that had extra details on how the robots worked and such. That, and avoiding whatever pranks Seth had been pulling on the rest of the crew. She seemed to have been successful on that front. Until yesterday at least, when she fell for the whoopie cushion prank of all things again.

"I'm alright with that." The new world that they were about to enter was similar to her own. Except that the war still seemed to have been going on. She briefly wondered for a bit if a version of hers existed in this timeline, but thought that it would just make her head hurt and so, she dropped the idea. "I won't be helping Ryteb with the revenge part though." She didn't have a stake in his revenge, and as such, decided against getting involved in it unless it was really needed.

Drake's words stuck with her however. The girl wanted to avoid killing humans as much as possible, but given the situation, it didn't seem like much of an option. Despite that, she wanted to decrease the body count as much as she could. Even if it means getting hurt herself in the process. They may have been killers or mass murderers, but she thought that killing them only meant to continue the cycle of killing. And she didn't want that.

Before her thoughts got too negative, Mai shifted her attention towards her fairy friend's good luck charms. "Oooh, thanks Cheese." Immediately missing the fairy's statement of not thanking her. She pondered for a second on how to wear it after she took one from Cheese's hands, before deciding to tie it onto the sash of her hakama. It didn't look too out of place on her, its purple color blending in with the color of her hakama. "I'll certainly treasure it."
@SMS, oh, and Mai was taught Areo offscreen during the timeskip. She can now make small tornadoes.

Alright, gotcha.
The girl crossed her arms over her chest as she watched the newcomer's actions. Him pointing his weapon at her earned him her undivided attention for the moment. "A duel?" She kept her eyes locked onto his hooded figure, waiting for anything that might provoke a reaction from her. But it seemed like he was merely challenging her. He wasn't hostile, not yet at least.

"Very well." A slight groan from her as she forced herself to stand up straight. "I accept your challenge." She couldn't see the new guy's face very well, his hood covering whatever details were behind it. A small confident smile was forming onto her lips, feeling thrilled at the prospect of a one-on-one duel with a fighting style she wasn't familiar with.

Drake seemed to have something else in mind, however. "A three-way battle sounds interesting." She hasn't exactly been in a fight where her attention was divided between two combatants that were just as willing to hit the other as they would to her. Usually it was just one opponent, or a group of Heartless / Nobodies that were out for her blood. As much as she was itching for a duel, a three-way bout fascinated her.

"However..." A pause.

Mai shifted her standing pose to something more comfortable for her right leg. "Can we hold it off until tomorrow?" After everything that had happened today, the girl was already quite tired from it all. "I wouldn't like it if our match wasn't on even ground." A shrug from her. Taking a note from Mac's nicknaming earlier, "And besides, Mr. Edgelord over there looks like he's about to pass out from all the drinking too," as she shifts her view towards the mercenary. It looked like his Shadow Nexus side had really taken a toll onto his stamina. If he were to join in their fight, she'd like it for him to be prepared as well.
The girl giggled to herself when Tocsax started shouting towards Seth through a Corridor, and Seth back to him. "Oh, so you can talk through the portals?" She kept a mental note of this to maybe use later on if the team gets separated. Although, it seems the user should still need to know where the other is to open a portal. So it may not be as practical if they get separated in areas they don't know.

"Hm... Is he really spoiling me that much? I don't really see that." Although... his attention does seem to be on her a lot. But she only sees it as his way of being her mentor, even though she hasn't really started seeing him as that yet. "Uh, sure I'm up for it. Train in what?", as a thumbs up notion formed on her left hand. Mai started wondering about what type of training they will have. In terms of swordsmanship, she doesn't see much that Tocsax can teach her that she doesn't know already. Perhaps in magic? "I wonder what magic I could lear-"

Her thoughts were interrupted when another person had suddenly appeared in the middle of the room. The girl had noticed V2's hostility when the stranger showed up, but then immediately disappear shortly after when it seems that the new person isn't here to fight at least. "Another one?" Although she does appreciate the company, they've gotten a lot of new people on board today. "This is the... fourth person already?" The individual had their hood up and was facing in the opposite direction as her, so she couldn't see their face at all. She wondered what kind of person the new guy was as she waited for them to introduce themselves.
As she observed how Drake took her action, she felt a familiar presence suddenly appear behind her. "Oh, welcome back Seth," turning around as she flashed him a smile. The Nobody took a seat, however he chose the one she was sitting on earlier. "Ah- He took my seat... Not that it really matters, but that chair was comfortable." A soft sigh escapes her lips before it formed into a disappointed pout.

Cheese had grabbed her and gently moved her to the side away from Drake, but it was clear to her that Cheese wanted to speak with Drake. "I'll let you handle this then." She took a step back and let her fairy friend do her thing. It seemed to have worked out fine. The girl raised an eyebrow when Cheese suddenly mentioned ripping Tocsax's throat out, but it took her a moment to realize it was a joke and giggled to herself because she felt that Cheese could actually do it if she wanted to, and maybe a little worried. "I should make a note to not get on her bad side. Ever."

Tocsax continued to discuss about Drake's punishment, and was a little relieved that he lowered it to simply joining Seth in the scrubbing of toilets of their Gummi Ship. "Which reminds me-", as she turns back to Seth, "Seth-," he had already escaped from the meeting, citing his punishment as his reasoning for his sudden leave. "Dang it- I'll bring it up some other time then. He doesn't seem to be in the mood to talk about it though." The Nobody left as fast as he had arrived.

From the corner of her eye, she spots Ryteb leaving the room, presumably to... chill out? "What's his deal?", asking no one in particular.

Shifting her attention back to their mercenary companion, he was suddenly bringing up about how they might have to fight humans someday, and how they might have to watch as a person die in front of them. "Human death, huh..." It was something that she had seen often back in her world. Having countless people she knew and were close with fall to the Heartless over the years was something she wishes she could move on from. Especially the ones that were caused because of her reckless actions in the battlefield early in her fighting years.

Before her thoughts and mood begin to turn sour, she shakes her head for a few seconds before taking a seat in the chair she originally propped up for Seth. "So... now what?" A question directed mainly towards Tocsax.
Did V2 also slap Drake? It looked like he just reacted to Mai smacking him in the back of the head.
#3 is what Mai would have brought up in my previous post had Drake's Shadow Nexus not intervened. The suppression part of #3. Since it did, calming Drake down would have been her priority for the moment.
Writing stuff at 3AM seems to bring out the weird in me. I can go back and change my post if it seems too... outlandish or weird (even though I think it wouldn't be too out of character for Mai to do that)?
