Reese just stared at her for a moment, unable to contain a small chuckle as she spoke, he could tell she was quite the tough customer, though it didn't really bother him, everyone had a story as to how they developed into who they were, well almost everyone, he didn't know who he was, not yet anyways, though he liked to believe that his old personality was much like his current was.

“I'm sure you can, I just figured I could help you out, no doubt a lot of other people in this town will need it...I'm Reese by the way, nice to meet you.” He spoke as he took off his bag and dug into it, finding an old bit of cloth he had left over and tied it around his injured ankle, making sure it was tight so as to try and stop what bleeding there was.

He glanced down at the beast still atop the dead bandit leader, “Look I know that man wasn't someone that could have been allowed to live, but being torn to shreds like that...well it's something I always try to avoid, I feel everyone should be given a chance and if they continue how they are, then at least a quick death.” He spoke more seriously to her as he put his bag back on and then got his own rifle.

He then added, “I take it, what's her name? Aurora is it? She's your family like a sister or something?” It may have seemed out of the blue, though it had been on his mind a bit, the two did share some similar traits, it was only a guess though, a shot in the dark, however if he was right, he'd understand better why killing these threats was so important to her.

“I met her before all this chaos in the town started, she's quite nice.” He lightly smiled to her, continuing to look down at the destruction that the day's events had caused, “We'll need something strong to take that thing down, I don't have the ammo to really pump into it, but I'll help any way I can, just will need to be careful I don't get caught in that things path and I know what you said, but after all this, I would like to just examine your injury, doctor code and all that.” He spoke as he glanced at her with a small smile again before looking down at the disheveled streets of the town.

Reese grunted a little as he felt the weight of the woman land on him, well this wasn't exactly what he planned, but if it meant the Super Mutant sized man would be taken care of, he wasn't going to complain, not that he had a death wish or anything, just the fact that he had been prepared to sacrifice himself if he needed too.

He listened when she spoke to him about the beast not stopping once it was set upon someone or something and said, “Well if it's anything like a Deathclaw, then I believe you.”

The bandit leader let out a yell as the beast toppled over him, blocking as it started to swipe and bite at him, obviously with that, his few remaining thugs couldn't just sit by and watch, Liv and Ral quickly dropped their ploy near Brick and then quickly went over to the area where the large man was being mauled.

“Hold on boss, we'll save you!” Liv shouted, quickly pulling out her laser pistol as did Ral, though the few remaining bandits with them fled, save for two, though anyone in that position would've fled.

“Blasted cowards.” Ral spoke as he, Liv and the other two bandits with them started to fire upon the beast, they had to be quick otherwise their leader was going to be dead.

“Forget them, we need to worry about the boss.” She spoke angrily as they continued to fire at the creature mauling their leader.

The beast let out a loud growl as lasers hit it's flesh, looking back before quickly charging at them. The leader on the ground barely alive as he coughed up blood, his body having been completely shredded, if he somehow got out of this, he'd be taking a long time to heal, though with how the creature was, it seemed the man would only get a temporary reprieve from it.

“Crap, it's coming right for us!” Ral shouted as the beast barrled through them, knocking Ral and Liv away, it deciding to go for the two in the back first, quickly grabbing the bandit on the left by the neck and then slashed slashed deeply across his chest, quickly killing him before running towards the bandit on the right who slowly backed up before trying to flee. The creature however quickly ended that endeavor, sprint around the man until it was in front of him and then lunged at him, ripping out his throat with his sharp teeth as the man tried to let out a sound but couldn't as his body fell to the ground.

“Damn...that things tough, come one Liv, we need to stop it.” He spoke as they both struggled to get up after being knocked over.

Liv having shakily watched the beast tear through them and killed two of their comrades, slowly backed up, fear on her face as she understood what they were truly facing, “N-No way, I'm not going to die by that thing, if you're smart you'll leave too, the boss has done a lot for us, but not enough for me to risk my life against...that.” She answered shakily and then ran before the beast who was feasting on their dead partner focused it's attention back on Ral.

Ral watched in shock as Liv fled before noticing the creature having returned it's attention to him, “Damn it Liv...” He spoke quietly to himself before slowly taking a step back, with her having fled, the two with them that hadn't fled having been killed, there was no way he could stop this thing by himself. It quickly started to charge at him, Ral shooting at the creature, though some of it's thicker skin absorbed the fire and continued on, ramming him to where he flew a few feet into the air and then skid against the ground, blood flowing from his head and chest as he tried to recover a little.

“No use, it's going to finish me, unless...” He thought to himself, looking at his leader and then back at the creature that was slowly approaching, “Sorry boss, but I choose life over you.” He quietly spoke, grabbing his laser pistol nearby and then shot his leader in the shoulder, the man letting out a loud scream which prompted the beast to attack him instead, having thought the man was dead and resumed to maul him while Ral struggled to flee, though with the creature focused on what was now his former leader, he knew he'd get away, he wished he had never ran into Reese.

Reese watched the chaos ensue below, unable to help but feel sorry for the people being slaughtered by the creature, though they had attacked him and the town first, he still didn't think they deserved a fate such as that. “Wow, I mean they clearly were a danger, but...even I didn't want this to happen.” He spoke aloud, more to himself though it would be easily heard by Eden.

He saw her rip her shirt to wrap her wound, “After we take care of that beast, though I don't know how we will, I should treat that wound.” He spoke, starting to get up before the pain of him putting pressure on his injured ankle caused him to topple over. “Ah, damn it.” He grunted as he gripped near the wound, at least the bullet exited out, it would heal on it's own given enough time, though if he had to face the creature on the ground, best he'd be able to do is limp.

“Sorry, guess I shouldn't be talking about treating other people when I'm in no better shape.” He lightly chuckled with a wince, looking down at the beast that was temporarily calmed by feasting on the large dead man, though he had a feeling it's rampage wasn't finished yet.
Didn't mean to be so quiet, just didn't want you to think I was rushing you, I understand that people are busy.
@PhoenixI've been waiting for things to progress further, I haven't been able to make a move, my characters are still where I last left them, I'm here though, haven't dropped this rp or anything like that.
Same, didn't mean to get so carried away with it, was just having a lot of fun posting.

They paused their movement to the man, knowing they had to be careful when it came to this ploy, it probably would've been easier if there hadn't been so much chaos going on, but with their comrades, that other gang and the beast in the town, anyone would've been on edge.

“We aren't staying anywhere, we only got into town when that thing attacked, we had planned on staying here for just a night or so and then moving on.” Ral responded back, Liv pretending to lose her strength a little as her body dipped down, Ral pulling her back to keep her on her feet.

“Please help, my girlfriend is injured and I don't want her to die.” He spoke again to Brick, Liv herself pretending to look weak and fatigued.

Meanwhile the other bandits that were nearby were hidden, ready to start shooting if their comrades were attacked, glancing over on occasion to view what was going on with their leader and Reese, no doubt, some of them were probably wishing they hadn't attacked this town, not with so many threats and their leader in trouble.

Reese continued to fight with the man, trying to keep him grounded long enough for him to be shot, Reese didn't care about sacrificing himself if it meant that the bandit leader would finally be defeated, he couldn't let this man live, as much as he disliked people being killed, he knew how necessary it was sometimes.

“You won't get me that easily you punk.” The leader growled, elbowing Reese in his side, him wincing as his grasp loosened a little before strongly gripping the knife and then pushed the handle to the left, shoving the blade inside the leader to the right, causing more blood to flow out as well as make the man scream, Reese then wrapping his arm around the man's neck to hold him still once more.

“You're not getting away from this.” Reese responded back simply, glancing over at Eden he then shouted, “What are you waiting for? I can't hold him here much longer!”

“You're a fool, no one gladly dies for other in the waste.” The man spoke as he continued to struggle against Reese's grasp.

“Guess I'm just a rare breed.” Reese chuckled back to the man.

Ral, Liv and the other bandits saw the struggle going on, but they couldn't get near their leader, nor even shoot at Reese again, the beast was partially in the way, not to mention the leader's size was now more of a hindrance, basically being a human shield for Reese.

Liv noticed Brick along with his bodyguard and said, “Hey, what about those two? If we could get over to them, hold them hostage, that doctor would let the boss go, he's too stoic to let them die.”

Ral glanced over at them and smirked, “Yeah, that will be good.”

They decided to go around the two men, that way they wouldn't be noticed approaching, at least not where the other bandits were and then started to go for their ploy they had used on Reese earlier during the day, “E-Excuse me, could you please help us?” Ral spoke shakily, Liv's arm over his shoulders as they pretended to be innocent civilians. “Please, we only just were able to get out of some rubble that beast caused.” Liv spoke, her facade being very convincing.

Reese shook his head a little, trying to stay conscious a little bit longer, he could tell how exhausted he was now that there wasn't a whole lot of adrenaline flowing through him. Though to be honest he was surprised that his body hadn't given out sooner.

“Hey look, let me go, I'll not come back after you or this town.” The bandit leader spoke a little more scared now.

“No way, I know your types, you'll get patched up and then come looking for me again, harming whoever gets in your way to exact your revenge, besides I tried talking this out earlier, you weren't having any of it.” He spoke, looking on at Eden, hoping she would make her move.
@CloseEnough

The bandit leader let out a loud grunt as Eden dug into his wound with her hand, continuing though to dodge the beast when he could, he wasn't about to be defeated by her and the beast she was riding on, though he felt it was a little difficult, even with others of his gang helping attack the beast, he still had difficulty getting enough distance away from it to where he could retaliate properly.

“Come on, the boss needs our help, focus on the girl and that damn beast!” Ral shouted, some of the other gang members focused on Reese now fully focusing their attention on the creature and Eden now.

“It's difficult Ral, this thing is damn tough.” One of the members responded back, even with them getting hits on the creature, it didn't seem to want to go down, or even really care for that matter, at least it seemed that way to them based on how it kept trying to eat their leader.

Reese took the opportunity of not being focused upon to begin exiting off the roof and go through an alleyway, pausing for just a moment to check his magazine, “Hmm, only about five shots left in this plus the last magazine in my bag, shoot, this is going to be tricky.” He spoke to himself as he began to once more go through the alley until he had a clear line of sight to their leader.

He started to take aim at him with his rifle, though he thought about how large the beast was, even if he shot at the leader, he didn't know if he'd have the ammo to help kill the creature, not to mention the creature seemed like it was growing tired of being tamed, even if it was only temporary, so he had to move fast. He peered around the corner, seeing the other bandits using some walls for cover, he looked up to see a sign for a business just above them, he was sure this wouldn't be liked after-wards, but if he was going to help Eden, this was the only way.

He fired two shots at the sign, it's weakest points being some bits of wood in combination with metal to keep it up. The wood splintered, eventually causing it to crack and then break, the structure now having too much weight on one side started to creek as the metal strained to keep the sign up until it fell in front of the bandits, blocking enough of the sight to where they couldn't shoot at Eden without moving from where they were.

“Blast it, that punk.” Ral growled, unable to see because of the metal debris in the way.

With Reese having done that, he slung his rifle onto his back, pulled out his combat knife and then started to run towards the leader. Ral noticing this quickly moved to the near center of the road, shooting at Reese, “Oh no you don't.” He spoke to himself, continuing to fire, the bullets missing Reese by inches, he was nearly there, just a little closer and he could make his move.

Unfortunately, one of the bullets managed to hit Reese in the ankle, the bullet going clean through, caused him to lose his momentum and stumble before sliding into the ground. He winced as he gripped at his ankle, just his luck to be shot again, though it was a miracle he wasn't shot up more than already considering the circumstances. The leader noticed Reese and couldn't help but smirk, at least he'd make a decent meal for the beast, giving him time to temporarily retreat and make a new strategy with the gang members he had left with him.

He started to quickly approach Reese, the beast only a few meters away and fast approaching, “Thank you for serving yourself up to his thing, will make killing you a whole lot easier.” He grinned victoriously, getting ready to stomp his boot down on Reese, if only to knock him unconscious.

Reese swiftly rolled out of the way of the stomp, struggling to get to his feet and then lunged at the leader, stabbing him in the back of the thigh, the bandit leader dropping to a knee as a result and then Reese went and stabbed him in his still fresh wound, holding the blade there as the man let out a loud scream, Reese chuckling a little, “Well friend, I guess if I'm going down, I'll at least take you with me, this town will at least have one less threat to deal with.”

The man glared back at Reese, struggling to get away from him though his movement became limited as he shifted, the blade continuously cutting into the man's inflamed wound, “Quickly, take him out, don't worry about me!” Reese shouted to Eden, he felt his body was going to give up at any minute, he was past the point of exhaustion, plus his wounds were finally catching up in a serious manner.

“Let me go damn it!” The leader shouting, seeing how the beast wasn't too far away now, “Sorry, gave you too many chances, I can't risk you hurting other people.” Reese panted as he responded back to the man.

“What, you think you'll be remembered as a hero or something? No one is remembered in the wastes!” He shouted back, seeing how his death would be imminent.

“Hero? Nah, just trying to do what's right.” He lightly chuckled, watching the beast get ever closer to the two of them.

Reese was about to object to her staying, it was his fight after all, when she pushed him near the shop wall, listening to her as she spoke to him, something that really caught his attention though was when she mentioned that she had family nearby. The only one he could think of was Aurora, she had mentioned something about her family and the two did share the same eye color, well if that was the case then it made sense why she was so adamant on defeating all the threats in town, not that he'd exactly run at the first sign of danger.

He was about to ask if she was referring to Aurora when the beast came barreling through a wall, covering his ears as it let out a loud roar, well it was here now, if it was anything like a Deathclaw, it wouldn't be easy to take down. Reese grunted a little when he was shoved out of the way, feeling his wound pulse a little in pain, he would've treated it right away if it wasn't for the many dangers going on in the town, he'd just have to tough through it until he could patch himself as well as anyone else up if they needed it.

He watched as she hopped onto the beats back, not sure if she was stupid, crazy, brave or all of the above, though with family on the line, he understood people resorting to unorthodox measures to ensure that they were safe, though that didn't mean he'd just sit on the sidelines, one thing he had a strong feeling about was that even if she directed the beast towards the bandits and raiders, once they were gone, surely it would go on its own rampage. Reese pushed himself off the wall he had been leaning against whilst he had gained some of his stamina back, that leader hit him fairly hard, he was surprised he hadn't broken anything though he was sure of one thing and that was that he'd be sore in the morning, but it was minor in comparison to the others that may be injured.

He quickly went to the back of the shop he had been slammed against moments earlier, climbing up the ladder that was thankfully there and got on top of the roof. At least this way he could take his time in dispatching enemies and he could recover a bit more, he went over to the front edge of the roof where the sign made a railing of sorts that he could set his rifle up on. When he set his rifle up, he started to glance down at the streets he could see, making sure that there were no bandits attacking anyone, though he couldn't really believe the damage that parts of the town had suffer, though he didn't really expect any less with a small war going on.

The leader slowly backed up when the woman and beast started to approach him, if he was injured like he was, he felt he might be able to take on the large behemoth, though that wasn't the case currently. Some of his thugs managed to come back to where their leader was and noticed the beast that was slowly approaching him.

“Quickly you idiots, the boss is in trouble, take that girl and that damn beast down!” Ral shouted, some pulling out energy pistols, others pulling out assault rifles and began to shoot at the creature approaching their leader, though they were scared, they weren't about to let their leader be killed.

Reese noticed the other bandits there shooting at the creature as well as the woman, he couldn't let her be hit, even if it'd be beneficial for the beast to be killed and then started to shoot at their weapons, the energy ones being easier to pierce and destroy, though when that happened and he was noticed, some shot at him whilst the others continued to shoot at the beast. Reese ducked down behind the small cover he had on the roof, “Damn it, thought I'd at least be able to take out a few more of their guns.” He spoke quietly frustrated to himself.

The leader ran when the beast started to charge, no way was he going to try and brace against that thing, not with how he currently was at least. He noticed Liv waving over to him, holding a laser rifle for him and then when he was close enough, tossed it to him. When he caught it he dove out of the beasts path, starting to fire at it, hoping to do some damage to it, this would surely be one hell of a story if him and his gang survived it, no doubt others would come flocking to join and then they'd be as big as a small army, something the leader smirked about a little as he thought about it.
