Seems like we're ready.
I know I am because I have nothing to do right now ._.
As soon as I woke up fifteen minutes ago, I checked school closings on the news and my school website, and when I saw that it'd be closed I just crawled back into bed but couldn't fall asleep. XD

Three or so years ago, we were getting ridiculous amounts of snow days for no reason because the superintendent that year was retiring. This year, we're actually using our snow days this time, and for the right reason; snow. >_>

aww yiss
Then again, I could be a completely different person than you think I am. >_>

I have a snow day today, and a two-hour delay tomorrow. Yay for one less day off of Spring or Summer break. -_-

Solace did you draw that picture in your post !?

Nope! I'm not that good of an artist. :C
Haven't I woken up yet? I'm still dreaming, but this...

A shadow dipped close; she felt its breath on her ear. She blinked and the shadow became flesh; a dark-eyed bandit.

It's not Xanxus... this man is different. He looks younger, and has an entirely different atmosphere surrounding him... almost like unpredictability?

β€œDid you know, Lady Knight, that even criminals have their standards?”

She was still, even as he slipped her hand into his, as easily as drawing on a glove. She felt herself being moved to a strange and languorous rhythm (might she call it a dance?), like an infant ship being gently rocked by a deep-lit sea.

β€œI have one policy that I hold for myself,” he continued, gaze flitting over the swimming lights, over the sentries posted throughout the room (useless), over the myriad of couples that swayed obliviously, merrily, towards their doom. This place would soon collapse.

β€œI think you’ll agree that it is a reasonable one.” His tone was amiable, as though he was certain she would have no qualms with anything he might say. A sudden swelling of noise bloomed as the orchestra began to play; he leaned closer to speak. β€œI don’t allow anyone to steal from me.”

Where am I? What's going on? Who are these people?

A pause. Her eyes were sharp like crystal even in the dim light.

β€œUnless,” he inclined his head closer just because he could, β€œI am reimbursed twofold.”

She had not spoken a word, but he could tell she was listening from the tautness that wrought her slender back. A gentle jostle from an unwitting passerby closed the distance between them; a ghost of a smile hovered on his lips. He spoke into her ear.

β€œI hope you’re ready to pay me back?”

Wake up...

This kid was just asking for death.

"First, allow me to draw the line," Xanxus followed through, tapping the hilt of the iron sword resting at his left side. "There is no 'match' between me and you. You could live three more lifetimes, and you would never understand nor reach my stage when I was a teenager. Let's make that clear, shall we?"

If the man thought that Xanxus was being arrogant, than he was sorely incorrect in his assumption; he was only speaking both the truth, and wisdom that this Carn fellow should take to heart. Even if it seemed like he was, he would not mind setting it in stone with another victory under his belt. At this time of day, it wouldn't have been too bad to have a warm-up with killing yet another suicidal imbecile. This man was all but disgusting to Xanxus just by the way he spoke. "A sell sword of your caliber? A bag of gold? Stature and grace? You're a funny kid."

Why should you fear who knows your name? Because no one knows your name.

"I have a kid brother who also hails from Regna Ferox, and I'll admit that he's more worthy of being my personal blade cleaner than you are." Xanxus sighed, already bored of the conversation. The last remark that Carn, however, was perhaps the most boldest and daring thing that someone had ever requested to him; their help. "While your Hero King Marth rots away underneath the ground, I'll kindly reject your insult, seeing as I'm far from a noble. Now, excuse me. I have actual business to tend to."

And with that, Xanxus simply walked away.
Whenever I quote somebody else's post that has the Bold and / or Italics bbcode in it, they don't show up. I'm not sure if somebody else posted a previous thread of this, so sorry beforehand if it was already noted.
Here are screenshots of the bug.

Carn almost laughed at the notion of HIM of all people being heroic. Carn said to the general honestly with a half grin. He looked at the man's face and grinned hoping that his assumption was right, Carn continued on with what looked sincerity but was really disgust at his own words. Carn followed up and he had no shame about those words. He'd said them to many a Valmese noble before they hired him to murder children and scum in their sleep.

It's good to be back.
Ajax and Ciel will arrive eventually.

ALSO, HEADS UP TO ANY NEW PEOPLE WHO WOULD LIKE TO JOIN THIS: The REAL GM is actually "Takeda." This was an RP that was halted after the downtime of RPG which will resume from where we left off, which was the beginning of the Battle of Trost. Concurrently, the Survey Corps is conducting a mission to clear out a district. If you would like to join, it'd recommended that you join the "Future Students / Graduates" or "Survey Corps" category, but the main characterization will be surrounding the trainees.

OC: Fushimi Saruhiko, K-Project

Name: Vlad Demur

Rank: 104th Trainees Graduate - Survey Corps

Age: Seventeen years old

Height: 178cm (5'10)

Personality: A cool-headed, relaxed teenager who is shown to be a rather apathetic individual, displaying a dislike in many things other than his sole interest of killing titans. He is a carefree pessimist, believing that there are no 'heroes' and surviving in the world could only come of the individual's own power and will. He is quick to dismiss any ridiculous claims that he hears from superstitious and inexperienced people or insults towards him, and would not hesitate to put them out of their place. Although he shows great promise and is quite intelligent, he seldom applies himself unless the situation direly requires him to do so. He is actually far more twisted and violent than he leads others to believe; he can be cruel and sadistic without any qualms towards a personal enemy of his, and especially when titans are involved, his bloodthirsty tendencies more than often get the best of him. Vlad is known to wear a wide grin with the tendency to laugh giddily when these feelings surface as a signal of its arrival. Because of this, some in his own squad fear his unpredictability and cruelty, as he holds no regret in the things he does and says, unconcerned about the 'hypocritical opinions of pigs'.

Despite this negative portion of his personality, Vlad is very attached to his few peers (notably Alex), willing to go to any extremes to maintain their safety and stability during an operation. Though he projects a tough exterior and gives off the feeling that he doesn't get along with people well like he used to be as a child, he is oblivious to the fact that he's actually quite a friendly person. His playful side is also among one of the pieces of his colorful personality that he now hides, seeming to be shrouded by an overhanging cloud of gloomy grief with a fierce lust for blood.

Changes in Appearance:
- The most significant change is his leap in height as a result of his physical maturation (5'5 to 5'10).
- His blue hair has grown noticeably darker and longer, and is now kept in a wild and messy fashion.
- He has grown much more physically fit and now has a muscular build, though he maintains a thinner look compared to others.
- His skin tone has received a tanner complexion from constantly being outdoors during training, as opposed to his initial paler appearance.

Age: Thirty-seven years old (after the three-year period of training)

Height: 200cm (6'5)

Personality: Sophisticated and observant, Severance is a very composed leader who assumes a serious yet cautious attitude when it comes to his position. He is naturally well-spoken and maintains a professional profile at all times, even when accepting news that is either positive or negative, fully confident in fulfilling his objectives. Though he harbors a deep admiration and sense of trust towards the men and women under his command, he would not hesitate to send them to their deaths if he firmly believes that their sacrifices would benefit humanity, but he would go out of his way to lessen the amount of casualties by as much as possible. He is one who prefers to be at least two steps ahead of everybody, planning far ahead for the future and shrouding his true personal intentions.

Psyker Landshark said As Xanxus apologized to him, Lantus simply nodded and waved a hand, accepting the apology. Xanxus's attitude didn't bother him much, as he'd dealt with far worse before. Compared to his now-deceased mother-in-law, gods damn that harpy to the deepest pits of the abyss, a bit of cockiness wasn't much to get worked up about.

"Think nothing of it, General Xanxus. As long as you do your job well and I do the same, we'll get along fine."

While it was annoying that Xanxus refused to use his own men, Lantus couldn't exactly complain, seeing as he had no intention of recalling any of his own bannermen in the first place. After all, there was no point in running his men ragged chasing after what remained of the Shepards if Darrian planned on inciting war with Plegia. Lantus's own knights were among the most well-trained and equipped in Ylisse, and he was certain that they were a more than a match against Xanxus's personal unit, especially if Lantus was leading them himself. Fielding an elite force like that just to chase down a few ragged survivors was simply a waste of resources.

As Xanxus began discussing their troop choices, Lantus took a moment to consider his words before nodding.

"Agreed. We'll field a force of fliers and mounted infantry." The old general said before turning to leave. "Considering your dislike of common soldiers, I trust you won't mind if I gather the men myself. Send for me if you need something." Lantus left for the barracks, his two knights trailing behind him.

vancexantan said A group of soldiers came up to the General Xanxus followed by a man with an iron sword on his belt with his hands tied behind his back. "Sir this man is convicted of being a vigilante. He murdered three bandits who were robbing an inn and forced another to back down." the soldier said as he forced the man forward. "He tried to get away shortly afterward but we caught him. He wasn't resistant per say but it was clear he is bitter about being brought here sir." the soldier said as the man looked at the general with his cold dead eyes. "He refuses to give us a name general-" the soldier continued but was shut clean up when the man glared at him and gave off a seriously irritated aura. "Hello General my given name is Carn and I served with the Silver Hawk Company until recently. Our leader was killed and I simply am off to Plegia to settle some old scores before I go and die in some hole somewhere. Before you ask I do not regret killing those men and I would do so again. Scum and villains who pick on those for fun are no friends to me or the public at large. If my sentence is death I ask that it be quick. But I did not do it out of self-righteous glory I did it because I wanted to do it. Now may I ask that I had my side told that you decide my fate." Carn told Xanxus plainly.

"Let's try to aim for a departure time before the noon arrives." Xanxus called as he saw Lantus off. The regular military... a ragtag group for eliminating ragtag dogs. It's almost a match made in heaven.

Xanxus himself had not been particularly interested in attaining his position of power, but rather, he preferred the sense and authority of control that came with the privilege. To some extent, the uniformity of the military was a factor that he did not enjoy; mindless pawns to do the bidding of their 'leaders' were what the term military meant to him. But for his men, he had built them up differently.

Xanxus, though possessing authority equivalent to that of a General in the Ylissean Army, viewed the latter as a complete embarrassment. He commanded his own detachment force that consisted of a blend between ex-mercenaries from his old association and the hand-picked top elite of the regular military, both combining to tally a total force of sixty. This force, unofficially labeled as the Ylissean Raiders, was second to none in ferocity and combat ability, full of ethnic and background diversity. Some were orphans at birth seeking a family. Some were stray nobles seeking purpose.

Highly-disciplined and close-knit, Xanxus had originally gathered one-hundred people from both groups and left them in a hostile and hazardous environment surrounded by various bandit and rival mercenary groups paid by Xanxus through his many connections to attack them regularly, leaving them on their own for two and a half weeks with his occasional check-ups. By thrusting them into a desperate situation that wasn't just a simple military simulation, this weeded out any potential friction between the two groups. The mercenaries taught the militants their ingenious methods of braving the deadliness of nature that the soldiers' military training lacked, and the militants taught the mercenaries their battle tactics and weapon quirks to better their advantages against their enemies. In the end, only sixty from the initial one hundred remained, the other forty either outright deserting or succumbing to nature or their assailants.

There was much controversy behind such an unconventional and 'indecent' way of breeding soldiers, but the result was unlike producing any average army; Xanxus, with these sixty men and women who were now the Ylissean military's true pride, simply spat and laughed in the faces of those imbeciles.

And almost as if on cue, Xanxus was approached by one of them.

"Sir, this man is convicted of being a vigilante." The word vigilante was the sole thought that resonated in his mind, bringing an expression of disgust on his face. This is going to be great.

"He murdered three bandits who were robbing an inn and forced another to back down." The grunt paused as he pushed the scoundrel forward. Always the one who tries to play the hero. These kids really need to stay at home. "He tried to get away shortly after, but we caught him. He wasn't resistant per say but it was clear he is bitter about being brought here, sir."

Can my sword pierce his flesh already, Darrian? Is that a possibility?

"He refuses to give us a name, General--"

The soldier would've been able to continue, until the scoundrel interrupted him with a look that revealed how hard he was trying to look menacing to appease Xanxus. "Hello General, my given name is Carn, and I served with the Silver Hawk Company until recently. Our leader was killed, and I simply am off to Plegia to settle some old scores before I go and die in some hole somewhere."

It's trying too hard to sound formal. "At least you're honest." Xanxus directed towards his last statement about dying in a hole.

"Before you ask, I do not regret killing those men, and I would do so again. Scum and villains who pick on those for fun are no friends to me or the public at large."

Typical of a vigilante. And from the looks of it, it's also a swordsman... What a drag. "Yeah?"

"If my sentence is death, I ask that it be quick. But I did not do it out of self-righteous glory; I did it because I wanted to do it. Now, may I ask that I had my side told that you decide my fate?"

Xanxus sighed out of annoyance, shaking his head as he placed a hand atop of it. "What the hell are you on about? Are you seriously that inclined on dying? What are you, one of those mongrels who call themselves valiant and heroic swordsmen? People who attempt to don such a false identity and live a lie make me sick."

"And even if I were to punish you with death, your existence isn't privileged enough to be ended by my inexpensive blade," Xanxus continued to derail the man, who had irritated him alone by being in front of him. "What do you want me to tell you? To hurl yourself off of a bridge? Have some dignity, and be a real man."
A dream of a time when things were simple.

"Mam, whure'sh Xanxhus? Tomorrow'sh ma birthdhey!"

"He'll turn up, Zaino." His mother reassured as she, with a finger in his mouth, slowly opened it and carefully fed him a dark liquid from a spoon. She rubbed the side of his throat to help him digest the medicine as he coughed, feeling his forehead. She reached for a wet towel and laid it there, sighing as she smiled warmly and placed a hand on his shoulder. "He's growing into a man, just like Daddy."

The six year old frowned to his mother, reverting his empty look to the wall at his opposite side. "But isn't Daddy dead? Does that mean Xanxus is gonna die?"

"Don't say that, Zaino." His mother frowned at her son's analogy. "Daddy was a great man, you'll come to see it soon. You and Xanxus are going to be good people, just like him."

"But Xanxus always beats me in everything! And he's never home anymore!" Zaino whined.

"He's just busy, honey. Men are always busy."

"All he talks about is girls..." Zaino sighed, followed by a sneeze. "Where do babies even come from?"

Zaino's mother traced her hand against his cheek in a motherly caress, giggling. "I'll tell you after a few more birthdays. How about you get some rest? That cold isn't going to go away without sleep, and you wouldn't want to miss your seventh birthday."

"Fineee." Zaino, seemingly disappointed, said goodnight to his mother as she lifted the towel briefly to kiss his forehead and left his room with the lamp. He brought both of his hands to the back of his head and stared at the ceiling, thinking. Xanxus... I'm going to beat you in swords! Just you wait!

With a giddy and toothy grin at the thought, Zaino yawned as he shut his eyes and let the darkness of his room send him to the world of dreams.
Oh god, reading Xanxus' part / response to Carn is just... prepare yourself. It's extremely negative.

Beforehand, I personally have nothing against your character, Vance. It's just Xanxus. Don't take any offense, please! ._.
