Sup Jecht. How's Spira?
And here I thought Xanxus was a little overpowered.
The man smirked at the boy's disrespect towards him, allowing it to flow perfectly for the news to come as he prepared for the announcement. Beforehand, he ran a brief inspection on the Ten Year Bazooka, making sure that it was really unloaded and nodding in approval. Holding it at his side, he tipped his hat in a thanks, though afterwards he bent over and spoke into Cyril's ear.

"Cyril Leggieri, you and your aunt are being targeted by another Famiglia," he quietly mumbled, his eyes staring into the hallway for a moment before he stood upright again. "It's been a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Mister Leggieri."

"I'm sorry," Cyril's aunt stepped into the dining room again, seeing that the man was standing and blinking at the purple bazooka in his hand, giggling at the sight of an adult holding a 'toy for children'. "Are you finished with your cup?"

The man turned to her, bowing with a smile underneath the shadow of his hat. "Yes," he answered, turning to Cyril and nodding before looking back at his aunt. "In fact, I was just about to excuse myself. Thank you for your hospitality."

"Oooh~" Cyril's aunt was taken aback by the sudden gesture of respect, a pink blush on her cheeks. She went to where he had sat and picked up his empty cup, smiling back at the man. "There's no need for flattery. I'm just doing my job."

"You're good at it," The man casually flirted before he turned to the hallway, raising his other hand in a backwards wave goodbye. "Ciao! Don't spoil young Leggieri, now. Wouldn't want them growing up this way." And with that, the man walked down the hall, and made his exit.
Just how many attackers are there?

Like Octopus Head had said, this was no ordinary collective of ruffians; this was an organized band with some sort of coordinated approach. These people had this type of experience behind their weapons, but then again, so did he. Not paying homage to the flames searing through the air from above and landing at another detachment of their attackers, his body was prepared for the first real rush of battle ever since the massacre happened. He could finally fight to the extreme and true extent of his resolve, no longer allowing himself to be dragged along.

Zaino's targets had not expected him to be quite the speed demon. He had already reached them in the moment they drew their weapons and tried to assemble in formation, and his own slaughtering had commenced. He stepped past an unsuspecting swordsman and hacked at the person's calves from behind, clipping their legs as he grabbed ahold of their clothing to keep them upright. He held the man up against his left shoulder like a shield, hearing a pained scream from a number of arrows striking his body as if it were a bullseye. He threw the man down headfirst, causing the arrows to jam even farther into his body, the tip of a particular one lodged through the man's skull. Before giving them even half a second to react, he turned to his right and slid the end of his blade across the throat of an axeman, bringing his right foot up to kick him into the second swordsman.

"Hah!" Zaino scoffed arrogantly, appearing disappointed as he wheeled around to lock blades with the third swordsman. How easy it was to overpower the man, it seemed almost pitiful to him. "I know kids who can do better than this!" he shouted, referring to the battle-charged citizens of Regna Ferox. He didn't need these people to get back home. He didn't need these people to survive. All he needed was a sharpened sword, the clothes on his back, and the boots around his feet. All these people did was slow him down.

Yes. We're a bit into the IC already, but we can give you a summary / recap of things!
Here's the thread.
AND ANOTHER BUMP-
Bump yo
The man opened his mouth in an 'ahh' as Cyril revealed the Ten Year Bazooka from the book bag, his arms returning to his sides as he stood from the chair and stood a full head taller than the boy. He looked down at him, a fake smile on his face. "So he has, has he?" the man spoke in a question, nodding concurrently. He scratched the back of his neck and brought out a cell phone from the inside of his suit, swiping the screen a few times and nodding as he stopped at a mugshot comparison of Cyril and another person. He looked up at the boy in person and the picture in deep thought, placing it back in his suit.

He was about to speak until Cyril brought up honesty, and requested to learn of his identity and how he knew the boy. He simply smiled, his thumb and index finger lacing at the front of his fedora as he tipped it slightly forward. "I'm a fireman," he replied with his typical yet unusual pseudonym. "Judging from the knowledge that you and I possess of the Ten Year Bazooka's existence, there's no questions needed to be asked, Mister Leggieri."
She just went to sleep.

Zane620 said Dragon is probably going to wonder what the fuck were doing.

she does we were just talking about it
Zaino was surprised to find that a number of people in 'their group' had been left behind. In reality, he was actually quite overjoyed to learn of such; he only wished that it could have been all of them except for just himself. It was too late, though. This is gonna be a long trip, he thought as his hand remained resting atop of the hilt of his sword, not allowing himself to fall short on his senses. He was healthy now, and his body was functioning properly. He could finally provide and act for himself instead of having to accept the support of others, namely that Ambra woman. If I have to spend another second wounded and being tended by her, I'll-

"Prepare for battle!" sounded, prompting Zaino to draw his sword just as quick as the next set of words came through. "A squad of raiders or bandits are headed our way!"

Perfect, Zaino thought, smirking as the sounds of battle began to pick up. A warm-up for the upcoming contest of champions. His head snapped to the left as he wheeled his body around, and with both hands holding on, he swung low at the pair of legs belonging to a horse, his body lowering itself in conjunction as a sword past where his neck would have been. The horse cried and flipped over, sending its rider meters forward as the landing snapped the man's neck.

Satisfied, Zaino spun and brought his sword up fast enough to cut an arrow in two when it was about two feet away from hitting him. His sword had been craving for blood; the one skirmish at the capital hadn't been enough. Then again, what exactly was enough to him? "I'll take all of you on!" a shout full of confidence left his lips, smoothing his hair back so it didn't impair his vision. He watched as a few of the horsemen dismounted and brought out a variety of swords and axes, flicking his own weapon to the side and charging towards the mass of assailants.
