That’s the problem. If I were to guess, they not only tried to remove your memories, but also implanted new ones. Maybe to ease the process? Possibly. But that is a recipe for disaster.

It died, but not in a morbid way. Think of it more as this me coming from the ashes of my pain before. I was cynical and couldn’t leave due to my fear. I couldn’t sleep.

It’s not like I deleted all of my memory as I know of the decision I made from doing it.
