"I just need the mithril for... practice." Marrion never concerned herself about money. The Hive collected all those coins from the fallen fighters and gave her more than enough to spent on her missions. She's probably one of the few Hive units that has some sort of salary system.

Since it seemed they're going to enter a heavily guarded area, she deemed it appropriate time to finally untie Horatius. Marrion unwrapped the bandage from the thing on her back and revealed a puppet that is slightly bigger than herself. It was obviously made similar to the figure of an East Empire warrior, except that instead of holding any weapon, the puppet's hands were swapped with blades. White it was mostly made of wood, there's small metal stubs here and there that indicates there's some hidden mechanism inside it. The puppet was connected to Marrion's lower right hand with some strings.

"Welcome home, Horatius. This is East Empire." Marrion talked to the puppet. The puppet raised its head, looked around curiously, then went limp again.

"Not here. This is not home." The puppet's mouth move as if it was speaking. Though it was pretty obvious that the deep voice that accompanying the movement was made by Marrion herself. Marrion nodded as if she was taking notes from the puppet's reply.

Once they reached the locked door, Marrion leapt onto the nearest wall and started crawling on the wall like a spider. It seemed she was planning a surprise attack for whoever was on the other side. Though glance would reveal something wrong about her posture. Her torso, her head and her lower arms are facing into the room while her legs and upper arms were folded backward to latch on the wall. Her puppet hanging loosely from her hand.

"We're ready. Let's snatch the gears."

"Welp, things happened. So let's hope its for the best." Eva replied at Lux's doubt. She was focused on some display that only she can perceive in front of her. She was sure she didn't activate it but it just suddenly popped up by itself, informing her of the patrons' horrifying titles.

"Father. I think we are dealing with... racists. Sadistic, Human-specific, kind of racists." She said to Johannes. Though she's also loud enough for other to it. Knowing this, she's now agreeing with the priest's course of action.

"Cipher, assemble." She commanded, and the armor immediately react. Cipher's front body completely opened, revealing metallic interior lined with arcane circuits that gave enough room for Eva to easily squeeze in. The it immediately closed, encasing the woman in full body armor. She pulled out a short rod that exert a blade made of green light the moment it activates.

"Let's do this." Eva whipped out a pistol and shoot at the Gore-saint at the other side of the bar. The gun emitted a beam instead of bullet made of the same green light that used in Eva's blade.

"Oh, you have sharp eyes, Father." Eva replied at Johannes' inquiries. Amused not only by the fact that he can pinpoint that Cipher is some sort of automaton(more or less), but also by the fact that a priest is answering this particular call. Wonder what that means about the adversaries they would face.

"The answer to your questions is yes. Eva Briar, at your service." She introduced herself as the others did. "The green one is Cipher. You can also call them C."

She looked at the beer that Cipher got for free. Yeah, there's something weird going on. They said if you are given goods or services for free, then you're the product. Unfortunately she hadn't build her lab yet so she wouldn't be able to examine the drink closely. She silently put the beer aside.

Still though, she did wants to drink something. So as things seemed to be potentially escalating around them, Eva sneakily chugged down a few sips from her own canteen. It's not exactly beer, but it should satisfy her craving for now.

"Earthquake? Yes, I love earthquake." Eva pushed her glasses up as a smilegrin crept over her face. Time for her to socialize...

"Mountain rises because of earthquake. Valleys caved because of earthquake. Sea sweeps the land because of earthquake. Even islands cross the ocean because of earthquake!!"

"Earthquake number one. Yay!!" As if on cue Cipher raised both of their arms enthusiastly showering whatever Eva was babbling with thumbs up.

Eva Briar entered the Stillrest Inn. SHe fixed her glasses as she scanned the inn's interior. She felts like there's something weird, but she couldn't put her finger on what it is. Her thought was interupted when a figure bumped into her on their way in.

It's Cipher, a green armored figure that is technically her sentient armor, but she just let it walks like regular person. It just felts safer, and she thought it would deter people with bad intention if she had an armored knight following her. It's just Cipher was clumsier than she thought and kept bumping things on accident.

Both of them sat on the designated corner while waiting for the others to gather. Eva put her arms against the table and leaned on it with a serious expression on her face.

"There's something strange happening here and I think I know what it is..." She talked to Cipher, who eagerly bodded and waited for Eva to continue.

"It is... there's no beer on my hand. Here, go buy me some beer." Eva handed Cipher some coins, should be enough to buy one or two cups. The armor immediately went to the bartender and tried its best to explain what Eva wants by doing gesture of someone drinking from a barrel. Cipher can't talk afterall so this was probably their best attempt at explaining.

"One piece." Marrion tossed the guard's spear at Miyu before moving on with their infiltration. There's plenty of place to look at but Marrion had a specific stuffs she's looking for.

"You know where they put the mithrils?" She asked Neo. The blind thief seemed to know the place better than any of them. She crawled all over the wooden crate trying to find the magic metal, but it's probably would be faster if Neo can point her out into a specific direction.

Marrion looked at the guards, then Miyu, then at the guard's weapon. She wasn't sure why the thief bother with the spear.

"If you just want regular weapons then we know a place where you can loots dozens of them." She said before rushing forward to capitalize on Aren being a big distraction.

Marrion quickly crawled through the hallway's wall and leapt towards the other guard once she's close enough to try tackling him down. Her two arms would try to choke him to unconsciousness (or death, she doesn't care that much) while her other arms trying to take the spear away.

Ao Ba was lucky that she managed to survive the seemingly harder part of the fall with minimal injury. Now that the fall had slowed down and there's less hazard around she could focus on trying to help the others. She must find way to move around first though. Repeated use of quick transmission was an option, but watching Lauren and her glider gave her idea.

Spreading her arms wide, she let her chi leaked out around her arms before she harden it into wings-shaped hardened chi. Less sophisticated than Lauren's holographic shield and less elegant than actual bird wings, but it's there. Ao Ba flapped her arms awkwardly like a chicken trying to maneuver her way to the nearest injured person.

"Hello, Blue Boy. You still alive?" Ao Ba grabbed Michael so the drift wouldn't separate them. She glanced at the blue blood coming out of his body.

"Inner damage? Hold on, I will try to stabilize you." Ao Ba tapped Michael at several spots, sending chi into his meridians to stop his body from destroying itself.

Marrion made a mental note to return to this place later if possible. There's a few unconscious guards ready to be harvested. For now though, she followed along with others and climbed the rope like a normal person. She noticed that having four arms didn't necessarily mean she was any better than other person at regular rope climbing. Interesting.

Another thief choose to blast himself up for no reason. Marrion wasn't sure if she's supposed to help catch him midair or just watch him go splat on the ground... She choose the later. If he go splat then she could harvest his brain for her meal. If there's any. The others wouldn't stop her for taking some of him, right? Hopefully not.

Ao Ba

"Ah, beautiful firework." Ao Ba watched various debris and projectiles of light coming to her. She wanted to just stay and hope everything will turn out fine, but sometimes one must take the fate onto their own hand.

"Bye, buggy." Ao Ba let go of her grip, turning the bug's thrashing into a momentum that threw her away.

She squinted her eyes, relying more on her other senses to detect the incoming dangers. She raised her hand and strike the first incoming debris with open palm, the attack simply kill the debris momentum instad of destroying it.

Several more debris coming, Ao Ba dispatched them all in the same way. Quick, gentle, silent.

Next were the light projectiles. She wasn't sure where that's coming from but that doesn't matter. She thrusted her palm into it, her chi harden the light so her bare fist can shatters it safely.

Once there's no danger coming, Ao Ba stared at the lines of spires beneath them all. She teleported herself within short distance, just to make sure that she wouldn't be impaled by the spire or grabbed by the bug.

Ao Ba

Ao Ba was sure she was foraging for herbs and mushrooms in a forest on Ryken outskirt, but now somehow she found herself falling through a suspiciously deep hole, alongside people, monsters and objects that weren't anywhere around her on the surface. Some sort of mana phenomenon? Maybe. Her current priority should be to land safely, and if possible help the others do the same.

That would be easier said than done though. The wind friction made her long hair and loose foraging clothes flailing wildly, while the bamboo basket strapped behind her back rattles as if the wind would rip it away anytime soon. She tied her hair into one large bun-shaped lump above her head to make it less inconvenient before she notices one of the giant bug heading towards her.

Ao Ba didn't see anywhere to run to so instead of moving away, she suddenly vanished and reappeared right on top of the falling bug, then hugged it tightly from behind. Hopefully this position would keep her away from the bug's reach while letting the bug take the direct hit should they finally stopped falling.
