Well my old day job required me and several thousand others to mimic a hero role in many dimensions as to stop villains before they grew strong enough to learn about existence.

*notices the natural magnetic field going down.*
huh, that's gonna be a bit trickier to fix.
*puts another rune on the ground that redirects some of the natural energy in the planet to stabilize and rebuild the core.*

Well, to quote one version of earth, this isn't my first rodeo. However, this is the first time I've dealt with a situation of this scale. So I'm going to say most of my tactics will only be half as effective.

I could, but given your current chosen role, you aren't likely to do that.
Therefore, if i ask for the name, i can then ask those around me if they could direct me to said person. if they can't, then i can ask you to do so and if you ask me if I've expended all my resources, i can say yes and therefore you wouldn't have a reason to deny me that reaquest without coming up with a much more feeble excuse.
