At the moment, waiting for Whizz to return.

As for the actual situation, the basic's of it are that after stressing out over a single camp for way too long because they're slightly paranoid, my character finally slept for the night and is now waiting for Soren to take them to one of the few functioning E-Libraries on the planet with his friend. I've just stopped responding at the moment because A:making small talk isn't my best skill, in or out of character. and B: I'm kinda unsure on how to have Thania respond.

A summery of the world its self, if needed

The whole jist of the planet they're on is that civilization as they knew it collapsed a good 200 to 300 years ago, and people generally tend to wander around in groups, moving from city to abandoned city to scavenge for supplies, with the only exceptions being bandits, raiders, and loners. There are one or two large groups that have managed to settle down and establish themselves well enough to get basic technology back up and running, allowing them to make decently sized towns capable of defending themselves. Electronic technology does exist, but it's more of a commodity as it has to be found or salvaged and repaired first, since a lot of it was lost in whatever caused the collapse. there are also mutated animals and creatures in the lower levels of most cities that move around using a combination of the sewers, broken subway tunnels, basements, and natural/self dug tunnels and caves.

That's he's and I quote, "totally a magical being from off this planet". I just accepted it at face value and moved on since I have my ability. I mean, since then he's opened a portal to someplace else in front of me and fixed someone else's lethal gas problem, so it's kinda hard not to think it's actually possible.

Other planets or whatever, I dunno. *Shrugs* I only met him yesterday, so I have no real clue about where he comes from, only that he's not from around here. All I know is that his powers are different from any ability here, so that means that other stuff might be possible.

No one knows how someone develops an ability, so I can't really answer that.

And on the topic of what my ability is, I'd rather not say much since it delves into personal territory. I will say though that abilities themselves aren't really all that grand or magical, nothing along the lines of elemental manipulation or anything. I'm only saying that because even though such things don't exist here, Soren's powers are making me think that they might exist elsewhere.
