You do seem to have a good community structure.

Zel: Thanks, we've worked hard tuh try and keep some sense of order and civility here. *Puts the stool in front of the bookcase near Soren and climbs up on it to grab and check a few scrolls from where Soren grabbed the archives.*

<Snipped quote by Stabby>

Whoops. That explains why there was so little of what I was searching for, other than the occasional reference.

Neil: It would indeed, though you're still free to read through it at your leisure if you want. I believe Zel is grabbing what you were originally looking for right now.
Zel: *After checking a few out, I put all but two scrolls back and hop off of the stool before handing them to you.* I think ya were lookin' fur these.
hello darlit just in case you're worrying we didn't respond we did

No I noticed, just a little slow and busy. doing my best to post IC at least twice a day if not more, that way things don't stall.
<Snipped quote by Stabby>

Do you have a lot of difficult times here?

Zel: I doubt we have as many as others like yurselves do, but they still happen every now and then. *Looks over at Soren and chuckles before grabbing a stool from a corner of the room.*

<Snipped quote by Stabby>

*Gathers as much information as I can about the world right after the fall and following it, apparently writing notes on a paper* How early in these past few hundred years does concrete history appear?

Neil: *Looks up from the book and after seeing the books you've gathered laughs a little.* No disrespect my friend, but you're reading some of it, as those archives are about part of our town's history. I should have mentioned earlier that we call most of our books here archives, as they simply aren't of the same quality as our ancestors were.
<Snipped quote by Stabby>

That's a really good way of looking at it.

Zel: It's what helps to keep me going.

<Snipped quote by Stabby>

Thanks! *Goes over to the shelf to pull down the books and starts flipping through them.*

Neil: No problem.
*There seems to be cohierent info in the books you grabbed, but nothing about any myths.*
<Snipped quote by Stabby>

I had thought that you would want to avoid challenges if you all can.

Zel: If ya would equate challenges tuh hardships and travesties, then ya'd be right that we want tuh avoid them. But I like tuh think of them as a test of skill, strength, and perseverance, nothing bad.
<Snipped quote by Stabby>

It can. It won't be easy though.

Zel: Maybe not, but the challenge might be fun.

<Snipped quote by Stabby>

Oh, right. What’s the earliest information you have after the fall of your original civilisation?

Neil: Not much concrete until now, mostly our modern myths and legends. I believe there is a scroll or two that has what I consider to be a reasonable chance of being somewhat accurate. They're likely three shelves down from the top and about a scroll or two to the right of the fifth tabbed archive on the shelf next to you.
*Says this all without looking up from the book, still turning the pages.*
<Snipped quote by Stabby>

It's a really sad thing.

Neil: It is, but it's best to worry about what we can do.
Zel: I'm agreein' with that last point. Besides, if it's all been discovered before, it can be discovered again given time.
Neil: Indeed it can my friend.

<Snipped quote by Stabby>

*Leans against a wall and looks over the books*

*Some of them have loose little tabs attached to the binding, but not much beyond that.*
Neil: *Still leafing through the book carefully without looking up.* So is there anything you would like to know?
<Snipped quote by Stabby>

*Follows*
Books don't make a lot of fire.

*The room is mostly a study filled to the brim with papers, hand bound books, and writing utensils, though a bed in the corner also indicates that it's also a place of rest.
Zel: They don't, but ya can use them tuh get one going.
Neil: *Turns around surprised.* I didn't think you would tag along Zel, you usually aren't interested in stuff like this.
Zel: Call it a gut feelin', but I think I might be this time.

<Snipped quote by Host>

@Stabby
They don't, no. *Follows Neil and pulls the book, "A Concise History", out of my backpack*

Neil: *Takes it, and after walking over to my desk, opens it up carefully before gently leafing through it's contents and carefully reading them over at a decent pace.*
<Snipped quote by Stabby>

Is that little bit of fire worth more than the information?

Neil: To those in less stable situations, probably so. But for people like us who have at less to worry about, it likely isn't.
*walks over to a door in the room, pulls out a key, and after a moment opens the door, walking in.*
