The ultimatum is that you won't kill Shinji.

The ultimatum is that we'll get nowhere by being stubborn about absolutes. To be frank, I don't want him dead either. Heck, I would gladly talk him out of his currently broken mindset if I could.
But as it stands the best I can do is try and at least resolve this situation so that something other then fighting happens and we get somewhere with it. I'm not asking you to trust them, or to even like the situation, but I am asking you to at least deal with the situation for long enough so that we have a better chance of not letting Shinji die.
<Snipped quote by Stabby>

No, because practicality should involve the least loss.

<Snipped quote by Shadow Dragon>

You don't.

... We're just going to keep talking in circles like this.
*Sighs.*
<Snipped quote by Stabby>

No, it's not. Not unless that person is an enemy.

*Raises an eyebrow.*
I'll agree that it's a bit hasty to get rid of a threat before they're an enemy, but I would refute that it's very practical when it solves the situation.
<Snipped quote by Stabby>

You don't casually kill someone out of practicality.

Getting rid of a threat isn't practical?

*Goes back to the others*

*Suzy is still practicing on the range, and Samantha seems to have made some progress, though she still has yet to do a full set without rest.*
<Snipped quote by Stabby>

I don't think I agree with that. Having your heart set on murder is wrong.

I don't think his focus is specifically murder, but rather practicality and a sense of responsibility.
<Snipped quote by Stabby>

*Nods*
I would.

I can respect that.
But that doesn't mean he's directly in the wrong.
<Snipped quote by Stabby>

Yes, because there are other solutions to difficult problems.

Would you say the same if it wasn't an ally he was talking about?
<Snipped quote by Meta>

YEP! KINDA BUSY THOUGH, CAN'T REALLY TALK!

Well when you're done absorbing that, mind if you hold off on attacking them?
I think we've gotten to a situation where we can potentially talk things out.
<Snipped quote by Stabby>

He only seems to be willing to cooperate when the door of death is left open.

If his story is true and Aeron really exists as a threat, can you blame him?
