Siara has a taste for fried chicken and fried fish when it comes to meals.

Vanilla ice cream for snacks.

Name:
Siara Volnert

Age:
16

Physical Description:
Siara has sandy-blonde hair that cascades all the way down to her waist, her wide light brown eyes still project a hint of innocence even after all that has happened. She stands at 5'3" feet and possesses a mass of 60 kilos, all implants and enhancements, excluding her nemesis weapon, counted.

Important items: What possessions are important to your character?

Integrated Sub-dermal armor and circulation system:
A set of augments and implants both magical and technological that functions to let the subject survive in vaccuum space for a limited amount of time. (5-10 minutes tops) As well as offer minimal protection from low-power firearms and average melee weapons.

Nemesis Weapon: Gungnir Valkyrie
Gungnir Valkyrie is a weapon meant to be grafted directly to the user as a pair of high utility wings that can generate its own thrust. It mainly gives the user the ability to fly in both atmospheric air and void space. Being made from refined electrum, it has the ability to completely surround the user with a magical shield, along with the utility to act as an actual physical shield. Additionally, the magical shield it projects can be transformed into a more offensive shape, like a sort of assault armor-like ram, meant to pierce through lightly armored space vessels.

For convenience, this weapon can retract and fold itself into the user's body at any given moment when it is not in active use.

HS-026 "IMP" (Broken):
The no longer functioning brain-chip that was implanted into her head. She had asked to keep it after the kind Rau've safely extracted it from her brain. She keeps it as a memento of her broken promise, and by extension, the family she had lost. She carries it on her person, sealed inside a small foamed black box container.

Short Bio:
Siara Volnert was the third daughter of a wealthy and influential man who actively opposed the warmongering agenda of the current Ascendancy regime. As many like him, Siara's father met an untimely death in the form of a well-orchestrated tragedy, as did his family. Outraged and feeling extremely vengeful, Siara's mother along with her older siblings cried out for righteous justice and tried to expose the regime's atrocities. Lacking the charisma of the Volnert patriarch, their voices went unheard and unheeded, and were ultimately silenced one by one.

After Siara's family was reduced to just her and her younger brother, the government seized all their wealth and holdings under some sort of fabricated noble pretense to help out the victims of the war, and of course, the war effort itself. As for the last members of the Volnert bloodline. They had been whisked away and were turned into lab rats in all but name.

Siara was a naive child. As the youngest daughter of the family, she was endlessly doted upon. She knew nothing but love and kindness as that was all she was thought and had experienced... until the death of her beloved father, that is. The depression and sadness brought upon by the series of "tragic" events that suddenly plagued her family were completely alien to her. Maria, her elder sister, decided to share to her a piece of wisdom when she started asking questions with complicated answers, instead of giving her a sugar-coated answer meant for children.

Maria thought her of Life and Death, Kindness and cruelty, Good and Evil, and most importantly, the gray morality of people. That Humans and even aliens all hold within them both maliciousness and benevolence. It was a worthwhile philosophy that was deeply ingrained into her psyche. At the end of the lesson, she made a promise to keep steady and "never change", to never succumb to hate, despair and malevolence. And it was because of this promise that she refused to harbor hate towards the Ascendancy... even as they continued to dissect and alter her body to their convenience, even as their immoral experiments killed her last remaining family before her very eyes.

There were several moments in the course of her new life that threatened to make her break that promise, but witnessing timely acts of charity and kindness repeatedly reforged this pact and made it into something nigh unbreakable. Unfortunately, it was this stubborn kindness that led to her being branded a failure and sent to be disposed of when she refused to kill anyone on the battlefield.

One scientist in particular saw an opportunity and rescinded her slate for disposal. The scientist implanted an experimental device to her brain that would give them remote control on her mentality, enabling them to remove inconvenient inhibitions and emotions temporarily, as well as input orders and objectives on the go. The experiment was a resounding success, Siara had become the perfect soldier... without completely dismantling her humanity. But there was one catch. All of the grief, stress and emotions she should've experienced while under the effects of the implant would hit her psyche all at once when the device was eventually switched off. It was only the promise she had so stubbornly kept that prevented her from breaking down into a mindless husk.

It was in the Battle of Proxima, where she was given only one objective, and was told only to eliminate as many targets as she could, was where she had fought and killed the most. So after her implant shorted out after suffering several EMP strikes, Siara simply broke down in the middle of the raging battlefield and wailed to the heavens in complete and abject despair.

It was in that horrid battle, where so many lives were lost, where Siara finally broke her most cherished promise.

The kindness she received from the Rau've had helped her a lot, but the hatred had already taken root. While she would've wanted nothing more than to accept the overwhelmingly kind charity of her former captors, Siara could not stand the thought of the atrocities of the ascendancy continuing behind closed doors. And so, she had to reluctantly decline their offer and join her like-minded fellows in their quest for vengeance with the ultimate goals of keeping everyone alive and putting an end to the atrocities of the Ascendancy Of Man.

Spell List:
  • Blaze Slicer (World): - A spell to project and maintain an intense plasma beam from the wrist in the form of a sword.(basically, a handy-dandy lightsaber spell) She uses this as her main basic offense, dual wielding Blaze Slicers from both hands.
  • Electro-Kinesis (World) - A spell that lets the user generate and manipulate electricity. Siara uses this to fire lightning arcs to strike targets either one-by-one or in a chain with adjusted intensity for every bolt. She used to use this for non-lethal take downs. (Will do so again) Siara also uses this to avoid damage from electrical attacks, as long as she doesn't lose focus or the power of the electrical attack doesn't exceed her ability. (Current Maximum output and capacity is 500 million watts)
  • Weight o Meter (World) - An adept gravity spell that reduces and increases weight of the user, parts of the user or any other valid target within range. Siara mostly uses this for her flying, but also uses it to impair enemies by making them lose their balance or cause damage in structural integrity.
  • Thermal Manipulation (World) - A spell to adjust temperature of a physical target either slowly or rapidly. Siara uses this to weaken certain targets with extreme heat or extreme cold or both. She also uses this to regulate her temperature when travelling in vacuum.

There... It's still incomplete. I still have to put actual physical description, and precious sentimental personal effects. But I believe all the necessary parts are covered?
@Letter Bee
So you mean there's a chance?.jpg

Is the party size limit in regard to characters? Or RPers?
Like, in the case of one person making more than one character? (Or is that not allowed?)
Is this RP invitation only?
Okay, that post became much longer than I planned. Oh well, it's an intro post. That's normal...

Oh and a question to our wonderful GMs:

Are we in the modern age? Or is the earth at least in the modern era?

Heaven, Kingdom of Caritas

Sirael

"So? What is it? C'mon hurry it up!" Sirael fussed, her head turning this way and there in a vain attempt to get a peek at the apparent thing that grew or attached to her back without her knowledge.

"Patience, child. This would go much quicker if you would just hold still." Gritted the much bigger and much older Peniel as he inspected the little angel's back.

"Old man, I've stopped being a child a century ago." Sirael huffed, a bit annoyed at being patronized.

"Truly?" Sirael couldn't exactly see his face at the moment, but she was doubly sure the geezer was wearing a condescending smirk. "I never would've guessed with the way you're behaving."

"If you want to stop being called a child, then behave in a manner befitting of your age." Lectured Peniel.

"Ugh..." With a childish groan, Sirael finally obeyed.

Seemingly satisfied, the old angel continued the inspection. "Now... let's see here...hmm... I believe this is a bird." He said.

"A what?" Sirael's face contorted in confusion.

"No no wait... I think it's a fish."

"Which is it, Old ma-? urk..." Sirael winced as Peniel tightened his grip on her shoulders.

"I-I mean... What exactly did you find, Seraph Peniel?" She repeated in a much more polite and respectful manner.

"It's a fish... with wings... and a horn...hmm..." Peniel seemed to contemplate deeply on his own findings.

"Oh... oh dear..." He muttered, his tone gravely.

"What? What's wrong?" Sirael asked, a foreboding feeling starting to well up from her gut.

"It seems you have been chosen as a candidate."

Sirael blinked. "Huh? A candidate? For what?"

"For becoming the king."

Sirael stared at Peniel for a long time before bursting out in a mad laughing fit.

"Me? hahha- Nominated f-for-pfffwahahha- For KINGSHIP!? AHAHAHAHHAHAHA! Ow-Haha my sides-hahaha can't breath-hehehaha helpfffwahahhah!"

Peniel watched patiently as the girl rolled on the floor in her deranged laughter, his expression serious.

Seeing this, Sirael managed to gather her wits and get back on her feet. "You're-aheh kidding... right?"

When Peniel's face remained unchanged, the girl felt a pang anxiety grow in her chest.

"...No... Nono...Nononono."

Peniel sighed sadly. "I know it's hard to take in...but-"

"NO!" With a flap of her wings, Sirael was floating at Peniel's eye level, screaming at his face in denial.

"What kind of idiots would- I can barely do my own duties and now you want me to be king!?" She argued, voice bordering on panic.

"Yes, your methods maybe somewhat... eccentric, but you always get the job done, punctually too." He hummed the last part to himself with a smile.

Sirael looked at Peniel as if he had grown a second head and was well on his way on growing a third. "What? you're actually going along with this? Why? I mean, do we even need a new king? What's wrong with the one we have right now?"

Peniel gave her a searching look before a look of understanding dawned on his face. "Ah... child... Sirael, your candidacy isn't meant for the throne of Caritas... It is for the throne that rules over all of the three realms."

That was the proverbial straw that broke the proverbial camel's back. The shock was simply too much for Sirael, it instantly depleted her mental fortitude, shutting down her mind completely and sending her body spiraling to the ground in a messy heap.

"Oh dear..."

O~O~O~O~O

In the comforts of her own quarters, Peniel, bless his holy bald head, accompanied Sirael and explained to her the terms and conditions of being a "King Candidate".

"I still don't get it. Why do I have to do this? Can't I just throw in the towel or something?" Sirael asked, beginning to get irritated at her situation.

"I'm afraid it's not that simple. Regardless of what you do, you will be dragged into this war." Peniel explained in a resigned tone. He truly wished that Sirael could avoid this fate, but he knows that trying the defy the powers that be who chose her would be... counter-productive. The best thing he could do is support Sirael as much as he could. It would've been better if he could actually go with her but as a Seraph, he has a lot of responsibilities to attend to.

"Wait a minute, what do you mean war? Are we going on a tournament to decide the rightful king or something?"

Peniel caressed his beard in thought. "That is one way of looking at it."

"You're joking." She groaned almost painfully when she found no humor on his face.

"Isn't this the demons' way of doing things? Why do I have to play along with their deadly barbaric games?"

"Cunning, Virtue, Wisdom, Might, the Candidacy takes all attributes and traits into account. This is, after all, the system that would decide the King who governs all."

"If that's the case, wouldn't Yahweh be the better choice? " She suggested a little bit hopefully.

"Perhaps, perhaps not... what matters is that you, Sirael, have been chosen as a candidate."

Sirael grumbled, still not satisfied with the answers she had recieved.

Peniel smiled gently and placed a fatherly hand on her head. "Do not sell yourself short, Sirael. I believe you are destined for great things. I'm sure you will make a fine king... someday."

Sirael pouted.

With a chuckle, Peniel decided to share a little of wisdom. "If you truly do not want to become king, you can simply collaborate with another candidate and become a supporter. And if he or she happens to win the candidacy, you'll become his/her retainer."

"That still means more duties and responsibilities though..."

"Well, at that point, I'm sure you can probably quit." 'Assuming you'd still want to, that is.' Peniel left that particular last bit of his thoughts unsaid.

Sirael looked thoughtful for a moment before giving off a resigned sigh. "I guess..."

"Good. Now, that's decided. Let us make sure you are amply prepared for this trial." Peniel spoke with a gleam in his eye.

O~O~O~O

"This is called a 'mace'. When some dastardly fellow tries to force you to do unspeakable things with him, you pull this string, aim this on his face and push the button."

"I know what a pepper spray is... and for the thousandth time, I'm not a child! Sirael blurted out in disbelief at the spectacle she was witnessing. Peniel brought out every conceivable trinket he had. Her own luggage bag was dwarfed by the gigantic pile of junk and assortments that the old geezer recommended she should ALL bring.

Amulets, potions, knives, grenades, swords, shields, guns, armors... and was that a bazooka?

"I...I..." The balded old angel looked positively senile as he fretted over her and his pile as if unsure of what to do.

"What the heck's gotten into you, old man? Weren't you the one who convinced me to go through with this stupid game of thrones in the first place?"

"I... Sirael..." Her words seemed to have knocked some sense back to him as the old angel approached her with a solemn face.

"I know I was the one that persuaded you but... you have to understand... this is a serious matter... It's dangerous, you could even get ki-."

Sireal rolled her eyes and flew up to his height and gave the bumbling idiot a good karate chop to the head. "Alright, that's enough gibberish from you."

"I... You're right, I apologize..." He turned to look at Sirael, smiling gently, he placed hand on her head.

"I feel like it hasn't really been that long since I saw you in that basket sitting on my doorstep." He chuckled.

"Peniel..." Sirael, swept along by the suddenly tender mood.

"Who could blame me? When you only grew this much over the course of a hundred years."

"Urgh!" The small angel wasted no time slapping the offending hand away. And with an irritated grumble, grabbed her enchanted duffle bag and stuffed Peniel's entire pile into it and walked away. After a dozen steps, she looked back, surprised that Peniel didn't utter a single complaint about her taking everything. The old angel just stood there, wearing a solemn smile on his not-really-old face.

Shrugging, she took a few more steps before looking back once more.

"Remember this, old man. If and when I actually become king, I'll make sure you'll become one of my pawns. I'll work you to death for making me go through with this!" After blowing her benefactor and father-in-all-but-name a cheeky raspberry, they waved each other goodbye and finally separated.

@Rabidporcupine
Great! thanks for clearing that up~

Will try to post soon...

Also, I forgot to add some details on my character sheet.

- Sirael's wings are big enough to wrap around her like a cocoon.

And with your permission I'd like to adjust her powers a bit (I underestimated the power levels it seems)
Nothing truly Major.
I just want to change the "Couple handfuls of seconds" limit to her water laser spell... to simply "Draining".

It's completely fine if you say no though~ (I know people adjusting their chara sheets mid-RP is annoying for GMs)
I just don't want this to bite me in the... um, behind... later.
I was hoping for a little clarification on the first IC post.
I'm in a bit of a loss y'see. As king candidates, is there any location where we're supposed to go? Like, are angel candidates supposed to go down to earth or are we free to go wherever? Cause the latter would make it hard for character interaction~

And just so I'm sure... are there are other candidates besides our characters?
Name:
Sirael (Siara) (Sarah)

Age:
100+ (looks like a child)

Appearance:
Watery-blue eyes and white-silver hair. Small-framed body and a short height.

Race:
Angel

Brand:
A flying fish with a horn(similar to a swordfish) with its wings spread out, on the middle of her back.

Power:
Sirael is adept at the use of water and gravity magic. She mainly uses the former for healing people, and the latter for flying. But most of her practice and experience comes from pranks, jokes and pulling tricks to amaze the little ones (err... the young ones.)
Her most offense-oriented spell is using water as a highly pressurized beam water cutter. (by mixing in both gravity and water magic)
Although it takes a lot out of her and she can only maintain it for a couple handful of seconds. (And she'd rather not use it, if she could help it.)

Personality:
Sirael is a free spirit. She can receive most situations with a chuckle, often finding an obscure joke even on the most horrific things she has beheld. While some might find that creepy, she is nevertheless a good-natured angel at heart, always opting to help out those in need with a gentle smile on her face. Although sometimes she could be mischievous when overwhelmed with boredom, she knows the boundaries of a good-natured prank... most of the time.

Bio/History:
Sirael had always lived her life with her whims and moods at the helm. As an Angel, she has duties and tasks which she completes daily, although the way she completes them often leaves a lot to be desired. While not quite officially there yet, her superiors already consider her as a troublemaker... just not the bad kind.

Extra:
She has especially sturdy wings that can act as shields.
Can sometimes be self-conscious of her own height. (Even kids out-grow her sometimes)
Really, really likes flying. (and is very good at it.)
