Why do people say "Tuna Fish sandwich"? That's like saying "Chicken Bird sandwich."

Bio

I never know what to put in these things. I'm just a guy who likes making stories. If I'm not roleplaying, I'm writing my own stuff or just creating random characters. I'm particularly fond of superheroes but I also really like character driven stuff and tend to dive into the details of a character. No character can be too detailed as far as I'm concerned.

@Letter Bee Don't think I can. In a little bit, yeah, but not now.
Nine hours later, Zero finally posts.

Sorry about the wait.
Jake

Today had started out so well. He had chased things, eaten things, eaten some more things...And then it all went to hell. Dragons and monsters. Bullets and blood. Jake was surrounded by chaos. He had been caught up in the excitement of that chaos and torn into a few of the things attacking the cops. He wasn't all that fond of the police but he knew they at least tried to be the good guys. Whatever these things were, they definitely weren't good.

Jake was busy ripping someone a new hole when things somehow managed to get even crazier. A nearby building began exploding, sending fire and debris everywhere. He felt several small shards of glass tear into him and he whimpered in pain. Damn it that hurt. He knew he would heal but not if a damn building fell on him so he bolted, scurrying into a nearby alleyway. As he ran, he passed someone unconscious on the ground and stopped a few feet past him. He turned back to look at this man and realized he recognized him. It was that psychopath with the creepy laugh. For a moment he considered just leaving the psycho to his fate but after that moment, instinct kicked in.

Wrapping a jaw around the first part of the man he could find that wouldn't result in a lost limb, Jake began to drag the man from danger. He wondered where he could possibly take an unconscious psychopath capable of slaughtering the world. Only one place sprung to mind. The reformists would surely know how to help this lunatic...Right?

Nate

"Whoah! Woah! Woah!" proclaimed Nate as he rushed to Eli and Olivia's side. He patted at Olivia's burning hair in an attempt to douse the flames. "Are you insane? Here I was thinking you may not be as bad as I originally thought and then you go and set a bitch on fire!..That's cold dude." He paused for a moment as he thought about what he had just said then held a finger up at Eli and added "I heard it the minute I said it...Shut up. You know what I mean."
Hey guys, I'll be getting a post up for both Nate and Jake later but it'll be a couple of hours at least as I'm working right now.

Also, does anyone have any objections to me upping Jake's power level? Mostly his healing power so that he actually has a chance to fight some of the other characters without being demolished.
@Pirouette Well it's happening out on the street in front of the New Sun building so yeah, it's probably all over the news.
Hey @Pirouette I've been meaning to ask your opinion on something. Do you think Jake would be able to see Ariadne? If you believe the stories about dogs having some kind of sixth sense for spirits then I'd say he could... Or at the very least he'd be aware someone else was there.

Oh and the reformists/heroes are fighting the underground movement because Olivia got herself shot by the underground movements leader. Plus other things.
"Jake then saw a distracting butterfly and chased it all the way to the reformists' base."

I know that's a joke but it's still better than anything I can come up with right now.
I have no idea what to do with Jake. There are ghosts and monsters and a damn hydra wrecking the place and while Jake is smart, he's still just a dog with a loud bark. He could probably tear through the rank and file but that hydra would absolutely destroy him.

I want to get him into the reformists base somehow but I can't think how to do that from where he is.
Ever the soldier, Nate let the boss offer his explanation of why Eli wasn't as bad as he thought. He even adopted a pose that betrayed his military roots. Arms behind his back, legs apart, head high. It was how he always stood when being addressed by his superiors back in the day but he caught himself doing it and quickly crossed his arms over his chest instead. It was hard to break years of conditioning, even now.

Nate was well aware of the so called pardon Eli had been given for his actions at aperture but that didn't change the way people looked at him. The majority of people were still afraid of him. Raven was proof of that. And Eli seemed to revel in the killings. He bragged about them. That made Nate uncomfortable. A voice at the back of Nate's mind called him a hypocrite. 'How many people have we killed?' asked the voice. 'That's not the same thing' Nate told himself 'Those were bad people and our government ordered us to kill them.' Nate could almost hear an internal laugh as though some part of him found that funny. 'Right' said the voice in his head 'Because the American government is infallible.'

As Eli started detailing just how he had killed the police officers, Nate found that he no longer cared. He had annoyed himself and was now lost in his own thoughts. He had killed a bunch of people in his short years but had justified it by the fact that he was following orders. The sound seemed to fade around him as he ran through his list of kills in his head, mentally justifying each of them. Something still bothered him though. Some spot in the back of his mind that he couldn't quite see.

Nate's eyes had narrowed in thought but suddenly widened again as he heard a 'ding!' from the elevator, indicating that they had arrived at their destination. He quickly forced a smile in the hopes that neither Cedric nor Eli had noticed his internal conflict. He stepped to the side and swung an arm out, indicating for them to go first. He then followed after them into the infirmary.

What happened next forced all thoughts of self doubt from his mind. Olivia poking him in the chest and accusing him of stealing her cat was hilarious to him. Man he had to get his hands on whatever she was on. When she turned her attention to Eli, proclaiming that he was hot before seemingly falling asleep on his chest, Nate could only sigh and with a smile he said to Eli "Beer goggles".

When Eli turned to him, Nate started to feel uncomfortable. The enclosed environment and the close proximity?..Nate was worried Eli may try to kiss him. Thankfully that never happened and Eli decided just to answer the question. Nate could understand the desire to do what he thought was right and it showed that there was at least some hope for Opie. He couldn't understand what the hick thought was right about slaughtering the LAPD though. Maybe Eli was just insane.

But as Eli stated, time would answer his question. Nate would just have to keep an eye on Eli until that time came. In the meantime, it seemed Mr Craigh wanted to check in in the woman he brought in and asked Nate where she was. Nate lifted s finger between them and stated "That I can do" He turned back around and pressed the button for the floor the infirmary was on.
