Ruth scrambled back on the floor away from Barb and the others. It had been so long since she last took care of a patient and she was nervous that she had done something wrong. I need a drink she thought as she searched through her bag with shaky hands. Ruth couldn’t find her precious bottle with her hands being so bloody and so distracting. The woman frantically tried to wipe the drying blood off of her hands and onto her pants and the floor, anything other than her skin. She was a nervous wreck.

Rowena was watching her quietly as she smoothed some of Barb's hair back. Ruth would be someone to watch closely and although she was a valuable asset to them she was also one of their greatest liabilities.

Lee, who had taken charge of the situation, began giving orders. She was the most levelheaded of the entire group. Vincent's death was on the back of her mind but she could not mourn him. He had been a stranger to her and she was determined to not suffer the same fate. "You," she pointed to Sam and Joel, "Will both carry her."

"Where to?" Sam asked as he finally stood. His hand was sore but he could move all of his fingers with some difficulty.

"There's a hardware shop a few buildings down." Bob said as he went into the kitchen with Rowena and Avery.

They were all given a job to do. Avery and Rowena were going to be carrying all the food and water that they could. Bob had found a box that he packed with as much food as possible. Rowena and Avery filed as many water bottles and other jugs that they could get their hands on. There were a few of the reusable grocery bags that the water was put in. Avery almost fell over trying to pick it up so the job moved to Rowena while Bob and Avery took the box of food. It was mostly little things like pastries that they had wrapped in plastic wrap. There were some pies and a few other things like instant coffee. Jeff was to walk behind them.

Sam and Joel would follow behind the trio while Ruth and Valencia would take up the rear.

Lee was the first to exit the back of the building. Bob had given her the basic run down of where and how to find the back door of the hardware shop. As a carpenter he spent most of his time working with various power tools and going to the hardware shop for new ones more often than he cared to admit. She paused and gave the signal for the next three to exit. They followed behind her as quietly as a child and hobbling old man could. Rowena walked behind Bob and Avery with the ladle ready. It wouldn't do much damage but she'd try at least.

The backdoor to the shop was locked and Lee cursed. They were now exposed.

"I'm scared." Avery whispered as he shifted his weight from foot to foot. Jeff, being impatient and afraid, quickly hurried out behind the trio. "Here," He said as he began to work on the lock. He wasn't no expert lock pick but he could smash the lock with a rock. It took a while to find one and each moment was hell until he began smashing the rock into the door.
It's all good. Irl stuff comes first~

"We can pay her," Ser'deni said as she produced a small cloth bag of coins from her side. The woman counted out five gold coins per person before sliding them across the table to Amaria. "This is for our medical fees," she repeated the process until there was enough coins on the table to cover their boarding and food. "And here is payment for our board and food." Ser'deni tied the small bag and remaining coins to her belt again before asking Triver how Daryn's wound looked.
The prince was a little uncomfortable with the fact that the woman had showed her wound and he was about to suggest letting his mage finish healing her when she spoke.
It looks good." He said to Ser'deni before looking at the twins.

He wanted to see Port. It would help him keep his mind off of finding Inaris. "I was wondering if it would be risky in allowing me to see Port?" he asked before digging into his breakfast. The mage beside him sighed and shook her head but kept quiet. She didn't know if he should be allowed to leave this place considering that he had almost died last night. Ser'deni didn't want to be overbearing and she knew that he needed to keep his mind free of the fact that they were on a man hunt for their friend but the prince going out in public was something that she didn't want to risk. She could only hope that the two knights would agree with her.

Once breakfast was over the mage helped clean up by taking the dishes into the kitchen; she would rather help than feel like she was being a burden. "Lady Amaria...may I ask how you escaped the King's clutches?" All mages, regardless of their social background, were property of the King according to the Daynician laws. Fake mages, simple folk with limited magical abilities, were easy to weed from the real mages; Ser'deni doubted that Amaria was one of the fake mages. There was a strong feel of magic around the woman.
Triver looked up curiously. That was something that his sister never brought up. Being a mage was like being sold into slavery before one's birth. From the moment a child shows magical skills in their early childhood they are sent to the castle to serve the King. His sister was unlucky enough to have been born in the castle walls. There was a knock on the door and the prince quickly answered it despite the protest of his sister.

Standing just beyond the door's edge was a man of average height with a stocky build and dark red hair with a braided beard and a moustache. He looked to be a few years older than Triver. "Hello! I am here to see Amaria, I am Adi." The man bowed politely before Triver side stepped to allow him in.
Adi grinned and waved to everyone in the room, his eyes scanned over Triver and Ser'deni before landing on the twins. He hadn't seen them in years. "Hello Lyker twins!" Adi said as he moved in to hug them. There was a faint burning sensation at the back of his mind but he brushed it off as exhaustion from work.

I've got my reply about 1/2 way done. I'll try to get it to you within the next few days.
@Gypsy_Lady

It's all good~
I'm not the best at terminology either but I do occasionally check to see if I got something wrong. I hope that I gave you enough to reply to.
For Emerson it was just another day of being a pirate. He didn't know how many times they had been in situations such as this and most of the time they came out unharmed thanks to his Captain's fast thinking. Over the years they lost a number of good men in such small skirmishes and Emerson would be damned if he let it happen again. He nodded at Kristoph, "Aye." He said before darting down to the gun deck below. The long dark room lined with men, young boys and canons was a familiar sight to the man. He had spent most of his childhood in this very section of the ship and he knew the floorboards like the back of his hand.

Emerson darted between the men, shouting orders between the loud booms that erupted from their canons. The men were dirty and sweaty and in the weak light that filtered through the gun ports he could see that most, if not all of the men and boys were already bleeding from the ears. Emerson aided the boys in ferrying the gunpowder to the gunners before helping the gunners themselves. This was possibly one of the most dangerous places to be on the ship, up on the masts tying down the sails or opening them up was the most dangerous place on the ship. In the high winds many men had been blown off the masts as if they were bugs. The canons presented their own dangers. He had known a man who had his foot crushed by a canon rolling back with the recoil. The man's foot was too mangled to save and he had it amputated. He died less than a week later.

"READY! AIM! FIRE!"

This was one of the jobs that Emerson was the best at. He aided the men in positioning the canons in the right place before giving another command to fire. They were going to take down the ship. There was a moment of relief when no canon fire came from the other ship. It would take the men on the other ship a few moments to recover from the blow before reloading their canons to fire at the Silver Arrow again.

Emerson left the men to see if there was anything else that Kristoph needed him to do. The gunners and powder monkeys were all capable and he trusted them to do their jobs right. He wiped the blood from the sides of his face before heading up to his captain. Emerson's ears still rang and he was a bit dizzy so he gripped onto the railing to steady himself. "Any other orders?" He half yelled at Kristoph.

Eagleharbor was the largest city on Tiriene, with a population of around seven thousand five hundred people, plus the merchants who would stay half of the year before leaving. There were other cities on the larger floating continents that boasted cities two or three, sometimes five times larger than Eagleharbor. The small city was given its name due to the various birds that settled on the underside of the continent itself and under the small boardwalks that connected the ships to the port and up on top of houses. This was her favorite part about Eagleharbor and it was what she always looked forward to.

She was nervous about leaving the safety of Nightfort. What if something happened to their aunt and uncle and she wasn't there to help them? Like her sister, there was a part of Zaria that longed for the world outside the boarders of Tiriene. Ever since she was a child there was something about the outside world that drew her in. The twins were educated; their aunt taught them how to read and to write. She taught them of the outside world and read those stories from all over the world and stories of the surface far below them. Zaria had enjoyed the stories and even today she would read them again but the woman came to realize that her home and family were the most important things to her. Often Zaria and her sister would clash over their differences but they always made up in the end; they were twins after all and had been through everything together.

The older twin smiled slightly as she brought a hand to shield her eyes from the sun. "I want to continue in this journey." She said, "I just worry, perhaps a little more than I should, about our aunt and uncle."

The road leading from Eagleharbor to the smaller towns and villages over Tiriene was empty today. Most of the merchants had left for the season but would be back in six months’ time. "And I worry for us." Zaria said with a faint, slightly sad smile. The streets were still busy but not as busy as they would have been two weeks ago. She stopped and leaned heavily on the walking stick that she had brought from Nightfort; her leg was beginning to bother her again. It wasn't something that would take away from her work, no, she'd power through the pain to the point of further injury. Zeva had been there the day that Zaria broke her leg. They had been trying to climb up a small cliff when she had slipped. After the fall she had been confined to the house until she had fully healed but there had been a few hiccups here and there along the road of healing. Zaria lifted her leg a few inches in front of her before stretching it out behind her. After a few more times of stretching her leg they continued on into the city.
Sam had been helpless to save Vincent. He had been standing right there, right fucking next to Vincent when the monster had grabbed the man. Sam could have saved him. He should have fucking saved him. The barricades they had been erecting, made of over turned tables, had splintered everywhere along with the glass. They were no longer safe.
He couldn't stop his arms and legs from shaking. His stomach emptied its contents at his feet and he began to cry. Sam crumpled into a small heap upon the floor and he bawled. He could have saved him.

Barb, who had been standing fairly close to Vincent as well, looked down at her stomach. A deep, sharp pain had erupted once the monster stopped moving. Her eyes widened and her hands came to clutch the piece of splintered table that stuck out of her abdomen. It didn't seem real to her until Valencia was running over. Barb fell back into the floor and she began to let out wails. Bob quickly joined the two and stuffed something into Barb's mouth - a spoon. "Bite down on it." He commanded before scanning the remaining people. Ruth had been a nurse turned alcoholic.

The blonde woman was crying in the corner, sure that they were all going to die. "Snap out of it woman!" Bob yelled angrily as he hobbled across the room and grabbed her roughly by the shoulders. "There is a woman that fucking needs your help, now go tend to her." Bob was just as shaken as the rest of them; it was never easy to see someone die. He let go of Ruth and went to check on Rowena and Joel. They still hadn't moved from their spots and Bob took it upon himself to comfort the woman. Sam wouldn't have been able to.

Bob said nothing as he brought the woman into his arms and smoothed down her hair. "Go check on Sam." He said to Joel before turning his attention back to the woman. She was beginning to hyperventilate. "Take deep breaths." He said as he moved to rub her back in a soothing manner.
Avery had a panic attack as well. Bob wasn't any good with panic attacks, he used to suffer from them in his younger years after he got back to the states. He watched Jeff comfort his brother and repeated the motions with Rowena.

Sam was still crying as Joel approached him. "Sam?" The man said as he knelt down, mindful of the large amount of glass and wood that littered the floor. Sam didn't look up. "I could have saved him but I fucking stood here like a god damned-!" Sam punched the ground. It hurt and it was an outright stupid move but he couldn't help it.

When Rowena calmed down enough the man moved on to see how Barb was doing. She was asleep and her wound had been bandaged but without the proper medical supplies she would be dead by morning. Valencia wiped her cheeks with the backs of her hands. "We can't stay here." She said, looking towards the window.
Name: Zaria "Zar" Tesoro
Age: 26
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Occupation: Currently seeking employment

Family:
Twin sister
Sewell Tesoro (Father; Deceased)
Lisbeth Tesoro (Mother; Deceased)
Tompkin Vallois (Uncle; Alive)
Daralis Vallois (Aunt; Alive)

Appearance: Zaria stands 4'11" with extremely curly dark red-brown hair that falls to her mid back. She prefers to wear her hair up, with a white ribbon tied around her head that she tucks her hair into. Her left eye is as blue as the skies she was born under while her right eye is a light shade of olive green. Zaria often wears loose fitting dressed with a belt slung around her hips and smaller bands at her elbows and wrists to keep her sleeves from getting in the way. Her clothes are typically brown or dark green.

Personality: Protective since she was able to gain coordination over her arms, Zaria always looks out for her sister and her family. She doesn't remember their mother or father much but she keeps their memory alive by frequently writing simple letters to them, she always burns them later so not even her sister can read them. She has a fondness for the lullabies that her mother used to hum at night; those are the only things that she can ever remember about their parents.

History: Born in the capital of Tiriene, Eagleharbor as the oldest of the Tesoro twins, Zaria was named after their paternal great-grandmother. She grew up for two years in a happy home full of singing and playing. Their parents noticed that within those two years their eye colors began to change and their daughters would always say the names of places and people that they had never been to or met. Their parents took them to a local shaman on Tiriene where their parents were given instructions to keep their daughters safe and to never speak a word about their dreams. Unfortunately news spread fast on Tiriene and a week after the twins’ second birthday, their village was attacked by pirates. The villagers were hesitant to aid the Tesoro family until the baker and his sons spotted the pirates taking away the toddlers. The baker, a hefty man, quickly interfered and gathered a few more men to help him. The twins were slightly injured - a few bruises and scrapes but otherwise perfectly fine.
They were sent to live with their aunt and uncle in Nightfort, a small mountain village in the heart of Tiriene. Nightfort is the place that Zaria calls home and she loves it dearly.

Weapons: N/A

Additional:
- Zaria broke her leg when she was around ten years old; it has since healed but gives her mild trouble and a slight limp.
- Being connected to the sky coordinates, she has a love for birds and had a few pet birds growing up.

Name: Emerson Beardall
Age: 32
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Occupation: First Mate

Family:
Thalia Beardall (Mother; Deceased)
Unknown Father (Fate unknown)
Whitby Beardall (Younger brother; Fate unknown)
Thatcher Beardall (Younger brother; Fate unknown)
Kristoph Verquise (Adoptive brother; Alive)

Appearance: Emerson is a relatively tall man, standing an even 6'0 with hair as dark as the night. Emerson keeps his hair long and in a low ponytail. His eyes are a soft blue-gray like his mother's eyes. He sports a simple braided moustache and a slight beard. Emerson favors lighter clothing that allows him the freedom to move; a simple white cotton shirt with short sleeves, a dark leather belt and a pair of black pants that are tucked into his boots (on occasion he's known to go barefoot.) Emerson wears a simple black bandana over his hair to keep the shorter bits out of his eyes while he's working.

Personality: A bit of a bleeding heart, he's out of place on a pirate ship. Emerson is the voice of reason for his captain and his opposite. Where Kristoph brags about the notches on his bed post, Emerson never speaks a word. He's quiet and often takes his time in picking and choosing his words before speaking. Emerson does enjoy the company of others despite his quiet disposition; he'd go insane if he were left alone for extended periods of time. He is strict with the crew and doesn't hesitate in dishing out simple punishments (examples include cleaning the decks and killing the rats but never anything that will put the men in harm's way).

History: Emerson was born to a simple woman who made her living by selling fruit in the markets of Hilarest. He was her oldest son, borne from a night of passion with a handsome man at the tavern. Whitby followed a year later and almost a year and a half after came her youngest son Thatcher. With three young children all under the age of four, Thalia Beardall took up work as a maid in one of the manors owned by the ruling family of Hilarest - The House of Goldborne. Emerson had a simple childhood helping his mother carry a few pieces of laundry down to the washing room before scurrying about with his brothers. They didn't have much but that was alright with Emerson, he was happy. When Emerson was around eight years old an epidemic hit Hilarest. His mother was one of the casualties. After that the Beardall boys were taken in by the Goldbourne family and raised as simple servants. Thatcher was the troublemaker and after one particularly bad beating by their master, the Beardall boys were sent away.
Emerson was separated from his brothers upon arrival at the orphanage. The orphanage had underhanded dealings in human trafficking; they would sell children to pirates and merchant ships alike. Emerson was sold to a pirate crew where he met and befriended Kristoph. He worked as a powder monkey on the ship and eventually worked his way through the ranks.

Weapons:
-Cutlass (He usually keeps it near his bunk)
- Dagger (Keeps it hidden in his boot)
- Pistols (His go-to weapons even though they're a hassle.)

Additional:
- He has several large scarred over burns on his arms and hands.
- Emerson hopes to find out what happened to his brothers.
- Due to the time spent as a powder monkey, his hearing isn’t all that great.
