|In Depth Appearance|

Koharu stands at 4'9, just a little under the average for girls her age. As with most people in her clan she has dark purple eyes and hair. She wears her hip length hair in a half up style, with a portion being held in a bun, fastened with a decorative hair pin. The rest of her hair is divided into three parts - two free hanging side parts are held independently with hair beads that match her decorative hair pin, and the back is left free hanging as well. Koharu typically wears a long sleeved dark colored shirt with her clan symbol on the back,  and a long white coat that she ties closed with a dark purple sash. Her pants are made of a thick black material and she tucks them into her boots. Over her clothes she usually wears a thick hooded cloak to protect herself from the wind and snow.

As part of a tradition in the Wakahisa clan, she was born with the Aisumāku upon her forehead. She hides this mark under her long bangs.

Koharu's adoptive father Osamu has impacted her personality in many ways. They both share the same serious and driven nature, to the point where she reminds many people of a young Osamu. She likes to please people, as the closest she had ever been to Osamu was when he praised her during training. While she does act quite different for a twelve year old, she is very curious about the world and enjoys learning.

|History|

Born into the Wakahisa clan to two low ranking members, Koharu was granted the status as heir due to the mark upon her forehead. Her parents were granted titles as well, although most looked down upon them because of their status change. While she was raised by her parents, her upbringing was largely dictated by the head of the family - Osamu Wakahisa, a distant cousin of hers. Osamu also took over training Koharu when she was old enough to copy his movements. He was a very strict teacher that had high expectations for her. Osamu's guidance ultimately led to Koharu's desire to please people and to achieve her goals. 

Osamu's own sons, Nobuyuki and Nori, had been the heirs of the Wakahisa clan up until the time of Koharu's birth. Being five years older than her, they didn't fully understand what the fuss was about when they were presented to a newborn Koharu. As with tradition the children of the Head of the clan would become the respective hands of the heir. As they aged and they learned that she had stolen their rightful titles as heirs, they grew to resent the child they had been told to protect. Many of their clan members backed them in a coup d'état to reestablish Nobuyuki and Nori as the rightful heirs of the Wakahisa. The two brothers failed and were executed on orders of treason against the clan, and ultimately the beast Kouri.

Koharu was trained by Osamu to use a katana and a ninjatō as a primary weapons.

Jutsu: 
Ice Release: Swallow Snow Storm (Class: Offensive) -  This technique creates a cluster of ice needles in the shapes of minature swallows that the user launches at their opponent. It is vulnerable to fire based attacks. 

Ice Sword Technique (Class: Offensive) - The user condenses the moisture in the atmopshere into swords of ice that can be used in short-range combat or shot at a target. 

Clone Technique (Class: Supplementary, E-Rank) - The user creates an intangible copy of their own body without substance. It is considered the most basic of ninjutsu.

Iaidō (Class: Offensive) - Refers to a specific style of kenjutsu that is concerned with smooth, controlled movements of drawing the sword from its scabbard, striking or cutting an opponent, removing the blood from the blade and then replacing the sword in the scabbard. (Taught to her by Osamu, however, Koharu is still learning this technique and is nowhere near perfect but she has the basics and is able to do some damage with it.)
