@Savato Well I was just considering if one of the chars might want to specialize on a certain subject, give or take, as we differ in what specific knowledge we have that not everybody would know, so to say. How do you think that would work then, since they may not have been born with that information. How would they take literal brand new facts?
@BuddhaI am Superman, so do not question that, ahem. Superman's phone however is not quite as strong. And needs to quit its shit and start charging before I throw it.

Anyways, actual newborns have a highly increased ability to learn and understand information, process it, etc. This is why at a younger age it is easy for children to learn more languages. Yes, our chars know the basis of many things, since they are newborn they would have a period, although it maybe shorter, that they would retain and collect information rather well. Since, well, besides basic knowledge, there isn't a lot inside their head already.

Once enough information is collected the process to acquire new information will be slightly harder and longer and rely soley on the type of person they are when it comes to learning.

This isn't to say that your char can pick up a dictionary and memorize every word in it at the moment, but he would take more out of it than he would normally, memorize a few more words and definitions, etc. So, you would have to choose wisely what skills and information your char learns at the beginning.

Granted this is my interpretation only, I don't know how the other GM's feel, but this is just my idea of it all. To give you an answer, and my opinion on the subject.
Phone troubles, work and vacation prohibiting my ability to write currently, should have a reply tomorrow hopefully
"Bell... Nice to formally meet you. I know everything leading up to this was a bit haphazard, but I figured it would be a nice gesture. I'm not familiar with a holy knight, so forgive me for that, but I do know of the empire you speak with. It is a very large and well-known one, no? I'm sure your title as a knight, however, is very prestigious in your culture." Tetras spoke, offering a gentle smile as they walked along their path with the plant people. She didn't seem much for small talk, but she was certainly nice, and at least trying. He couldn't blame her for that.

There seemed to be a bit of commotion in the back, some high pitched voices and hushed whispers, and some banging around and he assumed it was his other two female companions. While it didn't seem like anything serious and they weren't in danger, he didn't bother listening in to he conversation. It was rude for one, and he didn't think he wanted to hear about it.

Tetras raised an eyebrow before nodding at Bell, clearing his throat. [color=red]"Well, it's a small island nation called Cedran. Lush forest just like this one for the most part, and a few big cities that I grew up around. In my nation we have a strict and powerful army, and it is centered around being a strong military force, only accepting the best. I was sent here to scout out this new place, but, it was more or less a suicide mission really. I am not like my brethren, even if I seem human, and I realized this was a way to just get rid of me. So, here I am I suppose." Tetras laughed, taken the very harsh reality of his culture lightly.

"What is your culture like, being a holy knight?"

@RyoRyoRyoken It looks better, most definitely. However, I would probably (personally) trade off the power for some rate of fire. If on the lowest setting the thing can melt through thick metal, only the strongest of defenses could hope to block it, and it's pretty much one hit kill to anybody if it hits at a good spot. And, if it so happens that she can't hit them due to the charge time (Say, oh I don't know, somebody who can teleport) she may be royally screwed if she can't spam her lasers, although normal fire arms may help this problem.

Overall she's not OP anymore, and I can approve of it, but I just want to see a way where she could potentially damage a person, or thing, without killing it outright with her powers. Maybe if she doesn't charge it for long, it would probably just cause some searing pain and put a hole in their shirt, and she can pop these off fairly quickly, but her charged shots can do the damage and penetration necessary to one hit kill potentially and bust through a wall. It would require a bit of skill and planning, but it could be pretty fun and probably more flexible, and has the potential to grow into her shooting out lasers quickly, more powerfully, maybe even in shapes like arcs and the like.

With the power beam aside, the light shield and the optics seems reasonable and I see nothing wrong with them personally.

But I'm not the only opinion, and I would get one from one of the other GM's. But, this is just my humble opinion, right or wrong as it may be.
@Kimchi You and your fancy computer shit... Fine, I will conform. Although mister trident name whatever that symbol means, his header is going to give me nightmares when I have to constantly look at it every time he posts cx

Edit: Also, thank you!
@Rune_Alchemist Oh shit... I never posted. I thought I did cx Oops. Um, embarrassing... Let me get on that real quick. Sorry!
@RyoRyoRyoken YOU. I've seen your name reading this RP about a bajillion times. I was wondering when you would show your face you little stalker. Anyways, hi, and welcome to our group c:

Suggestions on your powers: For the offensive side, I would either make the beams less powerful, or at least, penetrative so that she's not wall banging people worse than call of duty. Or, decrease the rate of fire to maybe one cannon at a time, charging up and firing it like a rifle. Because, really, your super duper fancy aiming system with an assault rifle could fuck up a bunch of people already. Another idea is as the laser goes farther, it loses electrons and becomes less powerful, so she's not hitting people from five miles away and putting a hole in their head. Just a suggestion, mind you.

As for your Fallout style aiming bullshit, maybe the seeing through walls is a little OP. Just a little. Maybe cut that out for now. You could maybe here targets around walls, guessing their location. Maybe she can keep track of a target that has hid behind a wall for a few short moments, calculating where they would most likely be behind the wall, but being able to see and shoot through thick walls with lasers... you could pretty much kill everybody in a building without being in the same room very quickly with five highly accurate and highly deadly lasers wall banging people to oblivion. Which is quite the scary thought.

Of course later on her powers are going to obviously scale and become more powerful, but for now they need to be on par with everybody so you're not swiss cheesing people.
@Buddha Make that 38 internet maidens saved on the internet
@Buddha Yeah, I mean, I guess. I'm sure we could work it out where the clothes would teleport with him. But again, if he chooses to run around in the nude, that's his business.
