Both probably. I mean, 500 years is a long time, it would only make sense for there to be a guild of farmboys people feelings that they can end the land's troubles by monster hunting.
Probably add a bounty board too.

If we are to have a Bounty Hunter guild, it could be somewhat of an agency that hands out contracts to its members. I honestly like that idea, it would kind of be "assassin-ish" in its business but it deals with bounties on branded criminals and works openly. I would enjoy having a guild like this, albiet not be the leader...I can't handle such a responsibly, I am but a humble, humble man...

I've always interpreted bounty hunters as very individualistic by nature. If there is a guild my character probably won't be a part of it. He may interact with it at times but definitely not a member.

Apparently hunting in this world is a lucrative business. Maybe there is a central guild built towards it?

Also, from what I understood from Aeon, you'll have to be pretty damn convincing to be a shipwrecked former pirate. He did make it fairly clear that the waters are nigh on impossible to cross without getting swallowed whole. This is your first post here, so try to talk it over with Aeon first. Not sure if he'd even allow a shipwrecked dude/pirate (Also, what are pirates good for? No merchant ships to plunder).

Hello, everyone. I will be joining this RP. My character is going to be a shipwrecked former pirate captain. Anyone want to be his rescuer?

This seems like a generally compelling RP. I only have one simple question. Are anthropomorphic characters accepted? Or is it strictly humans? If it is the former, I will be promptly PMing you with a character sheet, or at least after my shift ends

Oh, I was under the impression that they would never be shown. I threw a few minor details in an edit to my post above that should be good for now.

This is exactly what I meant by piggy-back off of other characters. Roleplays that start with everyone apart never go very far in my experience

How large is the island? Roughly how long would it take to travel from Rivendale to Olnesse for example?

How common are nonhuman races, and are they restricted to certain roles in society? For example, are there non humans in nobility?

What can I say, doing an RP with multiple people is far easier when you have contact with other people's characters. Otherwise its a bunch of people writing different stories

I think it can be really fun not knowing about other characters, as long as everyone properly introduces their characters in their first posts ^^. Seeing other char sheets has its benefits, mainly avoiding making two of the same type of character, but it's worth it in my opinion as it's more fun to find out what a character is capable of throughout the RP. Knowing what other people are playing ´before my character meets them kind of takes away from the experience, in my opinion ^^.

I would honestly prefer the char sheets not being posted. Knowing how curious I am, I'll look...xD
