I think I'm going to have to get into habit of doing the Mention tag in my posts so people are sure to notice things that affect them when times come to post for this.

I only hope that such things as a complete lack of sleep actually carry over to make a meaningful impact; I don't often see people honor those kinds of things come fight time.
What does sabotaging entail precisely?
@Rilla

Mmk. So traditionally with the tournaments, you've had the lobby/mansion area and the battle proper; you've also made rules where you can't attack or harm someone outside of the established fighting rounds. I'm wondering about beginning fights pre-emptively, in that mansion area or what have you, granted that it's against the opponent one is meant to face once the card has been slated.

An example being they're on the way to the transporter or whatever, and they're intercepted. Is that against rules?
The siren song ends prematurely, fading into the cacophony of thunder: a contemptuous roar which makes the ground shiver as it laps up the downpour. Hisame's eyes stare longingly upon those majestic clouds lit by gamely flickers and cannot help but awe at their emotion; perhaps the heavens themselves flash and boom with wrath toward the abomination of her existence. She peels her lips into a challenging grin and exhales a gleeful chuckle while seemingly forgetting about their prey and the hunt at hand. Indeed, such would prove boring with so many possible locations to make a nest. Let impatience and thirst for murder bring the bitch out of hiding...

Then a flash; a CLAP of crashing when another bolt bashes into the bulwark. Its electric hum prevails long after the blinding fades and once more the strike appears of no avail. She half-expected a follow-through; a revelation and end to the game of cowardice while she continues to peer at the vastly more entertaining sky. There's no indication she paid the assault any mind... no evidence it's regarded as anything above utterly insignificant.
@ImportantNobody

I want to die slowly upon reading that...
@Rilla

So I have a few questions about WotW, in event we're having it this year; only if.
A custom character works fine with me.

Rilla, what did you do to the rankings?
The issue is that you're using a battle system to quantify her capabilities outside of that construct; the Bahamut battle in Advent Children is the most evident example of what the team does to handle a large-scale threat; if we applied this to Emerald Weapon, we should presume that all of the party members worked in unison to defeat it (now assuming they all wore the Underwater materia, or simply used the submarine to bombard it with torpedoes, which is actually much more likely).

In the case of Tifa, we have her fight with Loz to ascertain what she can do; she is noticeably agile, an expert martial artist, and can propel herself into the air for great distances. Because she didn't use spirit energy in the fight (such as we see Cloud do repeatedly) we are either left to assume that she can't, and therefore her Limit Breaks are merely martial arts strikes, or she was defeated too quickly to do so. Given that her Final Heaven "punches with the force of a nuclear explosion" and she didn't use it Advent Children, the most reasonable translation is a spirit-charged superpunch over something that literally makes an atom bomb explosion.

That said, I use such spirit-based techs with her along with a few simple materia; all things equal, I am of the belief she is and always will be a mid-tier level fighter.
Tifa can beat a godlike being to death, the two just aren't comparable.

You mean she tags along while Cloud and the more powerful teammates do the work; she did literally nothing in the Bahamut fight and probably similarly in the fight with Sephiroth at the end of the game. In a literal sense, she probably did quite a bit in the boss fights throughout the game, but only with the crisp teamwork of her allies, which wouldn't be restricted by a battle system or a trio-party-system the game enforces.

You need to get more active, buddy. ;)

Maybe we could have a Death battle rematch of Tifa (with your desired load out) and Yang. I watched all of RWBY so know a decent amount but may need to look at the stats better, or actually you probably disagree with their stats anyways so maybe not.

I personally consider that a mismatch but the VII universe and materia in general can put things on fair ground. I'd be down.
