I would like to join please, although, I see no possibility with smell or taste. So I will probably go with energy or sight.

Would it be acceptable, since Slade and Blade are kids, to be there, look around, get bored, and then start playing together and......be children? Xd.

Interesting, I'll have to spend some time thinking, I might likely be slow to post as I want to at least get my words less jumbled and such. I hope that isn't a problem. And if I'm doing something wrong, please point me the right direction.

Fourth Dimension

Ah, technically, you could say Slade doesn't need a weapon, as his brother, Blade can make him whatever he wants, same for other characters. I am also thinking about making a samurai, who has his weapon on him at all times. Would that be acceptable?

Yes. That would be acceptable, just expect you would be going to jail attempting to bring that into the convention. xD. I do plan on our character's becoming apart of a group that is above the law, so at that point it will be legal for them to swing weapons at whoever they like "I'm sorry, you have a problem? Here's my badge."

Alrighty then! Good to see we are here. As for weapons, I wouldn't be surprised if later on Kristof would need some form of gauntlet to protect his manly hands as he beats creatures into a pulp! At this time I suppose we would read into the first IC post and try and get an idea of what our character is doing and such? Again, I'm a newb and a half.

Hehe, yeah. Might need one... but maybe he likes the taste of blood? As for figuring out what your characters are doing... I left that open ended. You might not even be at the convention. For all I know, your character could be sleeping at home. You could already be there, arrived early, late, on time, chatting with others... whatever you like!

Fourth Dimension

Yes! We will get weapons. At first, we'll gather things at the convention for the first fight. Then we'll be handed actual weapons for those characters that don't have them/need them. Naoto, for example, won't need one as he's a cop, and has a gun. Kassy, having control over Energy, will also not need a weapon. I'll also have little areas set up with weapons... and toss around a few guards that die for people to loot.

Kassy

She is the woman on the left.

Kassy is 5'0", and is very underweight. She wears a two-part blue dress, an underpart that is a very dark blue, while the over-part is a much lighter color. She wears a necklace with a small helpless dragon on it around her neck. Her hair color is naturally blond, and her eye color is naturally blue. Due to her Fourth Dimensional control over Energy, her eyes turn Purple when she is in control of her powers. Fourth Dimensional Power: Energy. Bio: Kassy is a homeless girl, and without parents. Her parents died after she was born, due to an energy surge within her mother. The doctors in the room were badly injured, but the mother and husband were killed by the outburst of power. Luckily for Kassy, her mother was capable of controlling her powers enough to save her from the destruction. Kassy grew up without parents, moving from foster home to foster home throughout Tyoko Japan. Sadly, girls were almost never picked in Japan, except for people visiting from other countries. The day Kassy was chosen by a nice couple from America, she had an energy outburst. Her magical powers were strong enough to hurt her new mother and father, who disowned her after the attack. On top of the injury, Kassy was injured as well, so badly as to send her into a coma for many years. She has been in her coma since then, and has protected herself from being disconnected with her magic. Anyone who attempted was hurt by her magic, allowing her to live long enough until one day she could wake back up in the hospital. After Kassy left the hospital, she was a full-grown adult. She had no idea what to do with herself, since she couldn't go back to the orphanage. She didn't know how to get a job, or where to live. She's wandered the streets, taking what she absolutely needs, but never trying to hurt people. It hasn't worked well for her, as she is now wanted by the police. She isn't very keen on the idea of going to jail, and has even defended herself from them once, avoiding the cops and injuring several.

Naoto

Username: Teknonick | Character Name: Naoto Tsuyo-sa Taiyō | Character Age: 23 | Character Gender: Male Appearance: Naoto is 5'8", and weighs a healthy weight. He has strong features, though not pretty by most Japanese standards. He usually wears a black t-shirt, with a thick heavy opened dark grey jacket over top. He usually wears baggy jeans and a belt. His shoes are designed for running in for long distances, and are a very dark color. His hair color is black, and his eyes are a dark hazel. He has a big black dragon necklace around his neck. Fourth Dimensional Power: Sight. Bio: Naoto is a police officer in Tyoko Japan. He's gone from odd-job, to odd-job, most of his life. But he eventually found himself liking the law and helping keep order. His two twin sisters are both proud of him, and always tease him about how they never thought he would get the job. His older twin sister works as a politician, while his younger works at a local zoo. The three of them live together in a big apartment they have all worked together to afford. The three of them are all very close to each other, and Naoto sees it as his job to protect his two sisters at all cost. Naoto is usually a good cop, doing his duty, following his orders, and not arguing with his superiors. He is well known for his use over his ability, using it to it's full potential to help solve crimes. He has been waiting for a promotion for weeks now, and was recently sent on the case of a homeless girl who had defended herself against arrest. He has no idea who she is, but he does have a wanted poster of her. Little does he know he's hunting his own cousin, who is willing to attack him, even if he isn't willing to attack her.

Hello, and welcome to the world of Earth! This is the same Earth you have come to know and love, yes the very same one. There are a few differences that you might not remember... such as the year. It is the year 2068. Here, new technologies have appeared all throughout the world. One of the most interesting, and the most successful, was The Fourth Dimension. In Japan, there was a technology center who was enthralled by the thought of seeing the Fourth Dimension. They then thought there could be more, such as seeing it, smelling it even. With technology rapidly improving, they figured it would only take them a few years to invent a simulation of their dreams. They finished sooner than they expected, and with a much more different technology than they had planned. It was no longer a simulator, but rather, a procedure.

People are now capable of having procedures done to allow them to interact with the Fourth Dimension. Not everyone can interact with all aspects of the Fourth Dimension, each person can only interact with one. Sight. Sound. Smell. Taste. The technology helped with everyday life so well, absolutely everyone in the world had it done. Even poor people! No one decided what they got, but no one cared either. What they got they used, and it worked better than all of their other senses combined!

But, an unseen horror has risen. No one suspected this day would come, but it has. Due to literally everyone in the world messing with the Fourth Dimension, monsters have appeared where the technology was invented, in Tyoko Japan. These monsters are literal Fourth Dimensional Beings. If you can't see the Fourth Dimension, you can't see them. And almost no one can see them. Those who can seem to be their first targets. Then those who can hear them. Then smell. The monster have appeared more and more, and not one has been killed. Japan has tried sending in soldiers to do the work, but not even tanks could stop them.

The only hope for the world are a band of new heros! New heros that can not only see, but also hear, and smell, and feel them! These heros appear to be everyday people, but years after their procedures they start to interact with the fourth dimension in more ways than one. Their combined abilities allow them to do things no one else can. Including fight back. It is up to these new found saviors to stop these monsters! Will you help them, or let humanity fall?

1. No Powergaming. This means don't control other characters without permission, or complete understanding.
2. No Metagamin. If your character doesn't know it's happening, pretend it doesn't exist!
3. No Godmodding! I can't stress this enough here. Our characters are STRONG, but not gods. Remember, even the army has had problems with these things!
4. Be nice!
5. You MUST pick your first ability. You can, however, choose to start the RP with all of your abilities. This has been 'ruled out' get it? Haha! Yeah. Okay. You may pick UP TO TWO abilities! Remember, everyone may only have one ability... but they've learned this second ability later in life, as they are special.
6. Mention the Fourth Dimensional Toe Cheese to be accepted! This is to prove you've read the rules.
7. What moderators say, goes!
8. Rules are meant to be written, more may be added without notice! You will be notified.
9. Two characters only! Sorry! IN THE FUTURE, players will be allowed to own more. There's just too many at this point, and not enough build up.
10. Follow the APP Rules!
11. Mention Kristof's undeniably sexy mustache in your app, or prepare to be 'stached!
12. No posting after midnight! This is especially true if it's midnight anywhere in the world.

Keep in mind 'To Lunchroom' is pointing towards where the Lunchroom will be. I just haven't drawn it yet. Same for 'To Long Distance Deployment'.
'Deploy Entrance' is meant to be 'Short Distance Deploy Entrance', and will be expanded upon as more areas are added.
'Branton's Office' is right where it says it is, but it hasn't been drawn yet. The 'Break Room' is where it is said to be, but I haven't figured out what I want it to look like yet.

Fourth Dimensional Powers

Sight
Sight is the rarest ability of all. Very few have it. Those who can see in the Fourth Dimension are capable of seeing many things. They can see through walls, though it may be hard to distinguish what they are seeing. They can see new colors that other's cant.

Sound
Those who can hear have a powerful gift. They can hear sounds better than most, and are capable of reading weak minds. They are capable of hearing sounds others cant.

Energy
Fourth Dimensional energy is another rare gift. It is not quiet hot and cold, or physical and ethereal touch. There is another form of energy not comprehensible. Most call it Magic, but that is too simple a term.

Smell
Smelling is very common to those not blessed with the ability of all Fourth Dimensional powers. Smell can be used to locate any type of object, or person. Even if you haven't smelled it before, you will instinctively know where it is. They are capable of smelling smells others cant.

Taste
Taste is the most common and useless ability there is. It is possible for those with taste to know what effects something will have, and be immune to most poisons. Those who can taste the fourth dimension are capable of tasting new flavors others cant.

These are the rules for your app! Please follow all of them, or your app will be instantly denied! If you want to break one of the rules, you may send a PM, or discuss it in the OOC first. If you think a rule is too crazy, you may point it out, and we will discuss it in a formal fashion.

1. Follow the format. Please don't spread everything out so your app looks bigger. It makes things harder to read, and generally messy.
2. No more weapons! If you MUST have a weapon, make a LOGICAL STORY FOR IT. A hunter, may have a hunting weapon. But, can they carry it throughout the streets like madmen? No!
3. Make bios for your characters! I am setting the minimum to two paragraphs, and there must be a PERSONAL STORY for each character!
4. It says BIO, not PERSONALITY. Read the app carefully!
5. If your picture is bigger than a player's avatar, put it in a hider!
6. Put your application in a hider as well please!
7. Do NOT put your character under the Characters section! This is reserved for FULLY ACCEPTED RPers only! You may only have A SINGLE POST under the Characters section to hold all of your apps! If you have so many apps, or such big bios, that they literally physically computerlly can't fit, you may have a second post.

5:30PM UTC (Sunset 4:49PM), October 30th, 2068

One hour after official sign in.

Most guests have arrived at the Fourth Dimensional 48th Anniversary Convention, located at the Tech of Dimensional Learning Center, Tokyo Japan. It is one hour after sign in, and the festivities are about to begin! Police have been casually stationed throughout the convention, mostly outdoors, though some indoors, just to keep people calm and safe. The building is a massive skyscraper, reaching five hundred meters high in the sky! It is mostly made of glass, though has been known to be very stable and secure. The bottom floor is about three stories high itself, making for a grand entrance into the building. The glass is crystal clear, and there are many doors leading in and out of the building on the front face. There are giant steps leading up, with a big courtyard just before them, with a fountain, trees, and several benches. Indoors, on the bottom floor where the convention is being held, it is mostly open. It is bright, clean, and sparkling new. There are stands set up, with stages, indoor tents, and crowds as far as the eye could see. Each stage had different speakers from different parts of the company, showing off inventions, or discussing the new discoveries that have come of the Fourth Dimension. There was a big stage in the center of the building, but there were security guards and a giant screen held up to stop anyone from seeing the grand finale.

Convention Stand One. A new technology has been invented.

"Thanks to the new discoveries with the Fourth Dimension, we have discovered new technologies never before possible! This object my friend holds here, is a new object, capable of movement throughout the fourth dimension. It is extremely large, though most of you see it as a small cube in my friend's hand here. He can hold it with a glove you see him wearing, as well as manipulate it with his other hand. Watch as he uses his other hand to change the shape of the cube, into virtually anything he likes!" a man said from atop the stage. He stood there with an assistant at his side, and several guards at the back of the stage standing at attention. The man's assistant, holding the cube, pulled at it with his other hand, bending it into a bigger rectangle. He then pulled out several legs, touching the floor on plates that looked similar to is gloves. He then released the cube, now a long rectangle standing on legs. He grabbed one end of it, and started bending it throughout the entire stage, until it was like a long miniature roller coaster, encircling the men on the stage. "With this new technology, construction workers will be able to build buildings much quicker, and cheaper than ever before! These cubes do have a limited size, though they can be made to enormous proportions! We have been working on a much more compact version, capable of working mechanically. It is able to transport objects from the ground, into the air high above it, with less energy used to bring it up! With this new law of physics, we are able to create infinite energy, reducing costs of electricity, and generating a free source of fuel for years to come!" the man continued on with his speech, while the assistant started reforming the cube back into it's original form. The crowd started to clap, cheering on as the assistant finished putting away the cube, and the man speaking bowed a few times. More talk continued, mostly about numbers, estimates on when the technology will be complete and safe, and when people will be able to buy them as regular household items.

Convention Stand Two. An explination on the Fourth Dimension.

"Ludwig Schlafli is an inspiration to all of us here at Tech of Dimensional Learning. A lot of his theories and ideas have proven to be truthful, and extremely useful in explaining the Fourth Dimension to young students. He would explain this theory, by simply drawing a line. This line was the first dimension. Then, he would draw three more lines, making it a square, which is the second dimension. The third dimension would then be a full cube, something more similar to what we see everyday, as opposed to a two dimensional drawing. Now, a fourth dimensional object would be similar to a third dimensional object, except it would have two more directions. Objects with four dimensions would be capable of bending through space, appearing to appear and disappear through our third dimension." "It is a very hard concept to those who cannot see it, but to those of us who now can, it is more clear than ever before. Try explaining the third dimension to a second dimensional being. Hard, right? No, not really. You just point to it! See? It's there! Easy! The same thing for the fourth dimension. Once you can see it, hear it, smell it, taste it, touch it... it becomes there forever! You never forget it, as it becomes an everyday part of your life. Those of you that have seen it, explain it to your friends! Those of you who can hear it, explain that as well. All of you, explain your own experiences through your own words to your friends. Educate the world in this new interesting technology!"

Convention Stand Three. Sound device, used for demolition of buildings.

"This new device allows us to manipulate sound through the Fourth Dimension. Those capable of hearing in the Fourth Dimension have similar abilities, but this new device is much more powerful and accurate. It has been tested on small buildings, and is fully capable of holding a entire collapse with precision control. It might be possible in the future for this technology to disassemble buildings, piece by piece, to save time in reconstruction and reuse of these demolished parts!"
