Okay. Well, let's get into a few "What if" scenarios. Number 1: If Rose drops it. What if these monsters are smart enough to pick it up, and use it? Everyone's dead, instantly. Or at least paralyzed, then killed right after as they keep using it. Number 2: Maybe Rose goes to bed, and a monster appears right there. They grab it. Thee end, the whole building is blown away! Number 3: Some new bad guy get's a hold of it. Perhaps Rose turns evil... who knows, it's an RP, many different situations can happen. All it takes is one bad guy who doesn't care about it effecting absolutely everyone, and then blam, everyone is injured, or paralyzed, then either dying or about to be dead. They work right now, because of it is a specifically controlled environment. But, they could... say... collapse after their usage, as they hadn't been fully tested yet. In the end, I think you might need a smaller, but still similar, weapon that could be used. I still plan on outfitting our characters with weapons, and what goes on here (AKA, she can use the weapon now for this upcoming fight, before it falls apart) might influence the designs going on for our characters in the background.

Exactly Ragna. The new version (Or old, should I say) would probably be a more 'focused' version, one that has to be actually targeted. So, you can't just say "Auto-target world" you would have to aim your hand at what your're shooting at. The biggest problem we're going to have with these monsters is their movement. Weapons that can hit everywhere at once, instantly defeats them, as it would never miss. That's boring, so we'll say for the sake of the RP that that type of technology is so powerful, it might end up destroying themselves due to the shear impossibility of the universe's physics. BTW, how do I add a little ribbon to all your posts to say Co-GM?

well the gauntlets would not necessarily need to be destroyed as Rose would not use them on anything other then the 4D monsters expect for this instance where she used them on the other people but that was intended to stun as they where fare away and in another room the wave would have hat to travel a long distance and go though a wall witch is why she amped up the intensity Kristof only ended up in that state because he was fast enough to get closer to Rose while she was calibrating them because he took the brunt of it. That being said bare in mind while the focused in one direction it was not focused at one target or in a straight line it was focused in the general direction so it would hit everyone and the explanation of how strong the sound waves where was they would hear a high pitched noise that would sound just like nails on a chalkboard but much louder. Now i you have ever heard what nails on a chalkboard it is a horrible screeching but not all that loud amp up the volume you amp up the frequency as well but even though it was much louder because it started of as something as low level as nails on a chalkboard it would not be all that deadly unless you where very close to it. Even than it would not kill most people maybe some people who where more fragile like elderly or kids.

Well, the point is that it's OP. If it's that powerful, it actually would deal with the monsters like they're nothing, since this weapon seems to hit every single entity within earshot. That in turn, then makes all of our characters extremely weak. We are now left with a few choices: Make the monsters stronger, so your weapon doesn't effect them as much. Problem? Our characters now die instantly. Option two: We buff up all of our characters. Problem? We have to change our character's stories, or hand them other uber weapons. But, what's the point of these super uber weapons, if our characters are no longer special, since anyone could use them to defeat the monsters?

Last resort we reset and make RPing a competition. "We will only accept FIVE RPers! Each one will make ONE character app to prove they get a spot. Those who get in, get to make more characters. After the RP has started, and if people leave, we will allow more to join in and replace." or something like that. I don't want to go down that path... but we might have to if we can't clean this up.

It includes ya'll and myself. Me, 1. You, 2. Unraveller, 3. I know the three of us get our spots instantly, no doubt about it. Everyone else would be thrown into a pit and forced to fight!

Man, I'm really hoping this RP won't go downhill, I have to much interest in the concept.

I'm so glad you're still interested! Yeah, by the way, this is 100% unusual. The other time this happened to an RP I had, I wasn't around for a full week... with 10x more posts, and 10x less people. The RP died horribly, and I never knew what happened while I was gone. I hope eventually everyone will become casually normal, with very slight weird things happening. Possibly the gauntlets get destroyed, but a weaker prototype version of them are found, and will become replacements. The twins get thrown in jail, or have their arms chopped off. Things will calm down, hopefully soon. I hope we can salvage this RP, rather than demolish it and start over. But, I will start over if that is what it takes, which I don't think so at this point. Thank you Ragna, you have already followed the new rules. xD

That could be a bad idea. It would just mean throw up as many ten paragraph bios of the same character with minor differences until you get in. "Aw man, Ryu didn't get in. Maybe if I make Ryu with flaming eyes, and add an extra paragraph to the bio, I'll get in." Another thing, (I've been doing this a lot for some reason.) We have too many characters that are not japanese. But, wait a second, why is this a problem? Well, if you look at the statistics, only 3% of Japan is not Japanese. That's mostly because they're the most xeno-phobic people alive, but that's roughly the statistics. If over half of our characters are clearly Americans, (no one in Japan names their child something from another nationality, as it would be considered dis-honorable. Sure, idols are allowed to do this, because it isn't their actual name.) sure this may be nit-picking, but even the tiniest amount of research into japan should tell you this. Anime's are some of the worst representations of Japan, ever, so they don't count as research.

Cheaters are thrown out of the competition. Boom! Problem solved. xD. But we would probably have to make a separate thread to discuss people getting in, since we're having such a hard time here. Yes, I understand that too. Of course, it is a convention going on... so that makes sense that the most popular technology in the world be celebrated by other countries by attending... but still, your point is still valid. Plus, we haven't made it real clear what languages our characters are speaking. All these other people... are they understanding the Japanese language being spoken, or are they speaking English, and somehow everyone's understanding each other? O.o

I'm flattered that he is one of your favorite characters here, but like I said earlier, and its probably because I don't think I can let go of him yet or I'll be heartbroken (Not to say he is immortal, if he will die, then he will certainly die.) I simply think that there is a great lesson to be learned here, within the confines of consequence within one's own actions.

That lesson is I let things get out of control. :P. But he doesn't have to die yet, we LITERALLY just started. An RP is supposed to last for a LONG time. This is literally just the introduction! Imagine watching a T.V. Series. This is just the part that happens before they go into the introduction thing where they throw characters around and stuff, then go to commercial before the show actually starts. We haven't even started yet!

Hider

These are the rules for your app! Please follow all of them, or your app will be instantly denied! If you want to break one of the rules, you may send a PM, or discuss it in the OOC first. If you think a rule is too crazy, you may point it out, and we will discuss it in a formal fashion. 1. Follow the format. Please don't spread everything out so your app looks bigger. It makes things harder to read, and generally messy. 2. No more weapons! If you MUST have a weapon, make a LOGICAL STORY FOR IT. A hunter, may have a hunting weapon. But, can they carry it throughout the streets like madmen? No! 3. Make bios for your characters! I am setting the minimum to two paragraphs, and there must be a PERSONAL STORY for each character! 4. It says BIO, not PERSONALITY. Read the app carefully! 5. If your picture is bigger than a player's avatar, put it in a hider! 6. Put your application in a hider as well please! 7. Do NOT put your character under the Characters section! This is reserved for FULLY ACCEPTED RPers only! You may only have A SINGLE POST under the Characters section to hold all of your apps! If you have so many apps, or such big bios, that they literally physically computerlly can't fit, you may have a second post.

Also, I never said this, but I'd like people to keep all of their apps on the characters section under one post per RPer, and possibly hide their apps within hiders. It's getting too hard to find anybody, or who owns who. I'm going to edit the rules now, creating a new specific section related to character limits.
