I feel like Myriad Reality is somehow the secret glue holding this entire site together

People like to nudge aside the fact that there's a level of commitment to hosting, and joining an RP. The majority of players don't have it in either case, regardless of how interesting an idea is.

I've been gone so long that I forgot what the status bar was like. It's like coming back to an old apartment, except it's not an apartment anymore, it's just two walls and a lot of heroine addicts.

@Leaves The site has been really wonky all morning/day.
Elecman tried to jump back, but couldn't stop himself from getting caught in Blake's torrent of flames. His yellow gloves and mask melted within seconds, leaving his fingers mashed together in a goopy yellow slime, and his vision blurred by the goey mask around his eyes. "Good heavens!!" He cried out, staggering back several steps while trying to scrape his eyes clean. It was no use though. His once rubber-like hands were now gooey stumps, and he was nearly blind. "Fireman! We must return to Dr Wily!"
Gaius Stronurr

The Forest Floor

Like a jackhammer, the swell of energy shattered the cement in Gaius' veins and he steeled the creature's powerful assault. "Hrrg!" Gaius grunted, keeping his feet planted in the ground with relative ease. Where the hell did this power come from? Something whizzed by his sight, between him and the attacking monstrosity. Again! A trail of golden light followed it as it passed. What the hell was it? No matter, there were more pressing matters at hand. Gaius flung the giant creature off, and stepped back twice, reaching for his sword. He was surprised that it didn't fall from its sheath in his armor as he fell. With one hand, he flung the hilt up, and grabbed the blade half-way along its tremendous length. Upon pulling it from its housing, he quickly positioned both hands around the hilt and wielded it with a mighty stance. "Whoa-ho-ho!" Gaius chanted, thoroughly impressed by his own feat of endurance. The little fairy-like light creature that gramted Gaius his new-found power buzzed into view and looked at him with its beady little eyes. A little dragon?? "Would you look at that!" Gaius shouted. "Thanks, bud!" the little dragon squeaked happily and flew around him in circles, before hovering quietly behind his left shoulder.

"Right, you've a date with some steel, bone-head," Gaius assured the intruder, lunging forward as soon as he was ready, and slashing length-wise at its collar-bone with his massive weapon.
@Saint Peccator I'm giving you a couple more days to post, and then I'll make a move with your character so that Jenso can post again.
Plains of Ire

Around the Z-ATV

The thunderous sound was enough on its own to disperse the smaller lizzies for at least a mile. The momma? Not so much. The bolt itself however crashed against her thick armored hide. Electricity danced erratically across her body, stopping her forward motions entirely as streams of blueish white light crackled between her hands and legs. It let out a shrill whine, stepping back on one leg, almost shifting another Dune in its entirety with her titanic step.

Zay rushed to Zerraf's aid, finally making his way onto the ATV as Dan retreated into the machine's interior. The two mounted cannons on either side of the ATV's front casing turned as far as they could, until they were both locked on to the Giant Lizard. A low hum began to sound from the arcanic hearts of each weapon, signaling their charge.

"Whoa, that's a biggun'," Zay quipped, both of his bare hands shifting into a metallic silver substance, "And that's a lotta' power there, Jager!" Zay knelt down and place one of his silvery hands on the ATV's hull, coating it in a thin layer of silver goo that spread from his arm. "If that didn't kill it, I don't know how effective these cannons are gunna be, but Haley wants us to stall it as long as possible until they're ready to fire- Uh," Zay paused and glared at Jager's face. He looked like he was completely in control. 'Man, these Kho-guys are somethin' else...' Zay thought to himself.
Back and yea. Posted.
Tesh Yama

Kaz didn't put up much resistance when he was faced with the injection. He would have swatted at Bruce if he had the energy, though. The poor little feline was close to fainting, and could barely manage to shift his paws on the table. Fortunately, the antidote took full effect in just a few minutes, and Kaz was back to his old self. The little Meowth hopped off the table and padded towards Tesh as quickly as he could, no longer keeping several paced behind him. Instead, he stood at his trainer's side. Tesh looked down and smiled, but Kaz refused to exchange the expression. He looked away, aloof, as if he were embarrassed by his earlier actions.

Tesh was about to follow after Abigail and Lynn, more out of coincidence than anything, when he was almost assailed by a stream of snot. Eugh, he'd hoped that they wouldn't cross paths with that well of mucus again. He quickly paced past him, looking away. Kaz didn't bother looking up, knowing that if he stalled for even a moment, there was a chance that his fur would become matted with snot.

Tesh quickly caught up to Lynn and Abigail, although he almost wished he hadn't. Part of him was eager to stick around these two dunder-heads, though. Something told him that living the solo path was unwise. Sure, he was smart, but his knowledge and intelligence couldn't make up for the fact that his pokemon was untrained, or the fact that he only had one. Kaz padded ahead of Tesh and looked up at him briefly, fully aware of the uncertainty in his trainer's eyes. As soon as his trainer returned to glance, Kaz looked away again. What a stubborn little Meowth! Tesh snapped his neck towards Abigail when she asked about their intentions. Lynn responded first, trailing away on a likely fruitless hunt for Xatu. Feh, good luck with that.

"The common pokemon around here don't really interest me at all. I'm going to use this opportunity to train Kaz," Tesh responded, keeping his eyes peeled for any spirited wild pokemon. The stronger one always offered a more challenging experience. Kaz was raring to go as well. What kind of pokemon were there around here, besides pidgey and Rattata?

Peace and Quiet at la-

"THEY DID WHAAAAAAAT?"

A gruff, echoed voice roared across the courtyard. The grass waved chaotically when met with his insurmountable anger, fluttering like little ribbons in a full-fledged summer storm. That man's voice packed power alright, but just how strong was he? And what the hell did he look like?

Man, why can't things just be easy.
OK, I'M ABOUT TO POST.

I was pretty much completely occupied 24 hours for the past 4 days. My baaaad.
