I feel like Myriad Reality is somehow the secret glue holding this entire site together

People like to nudge aside the fact that there's a level of commitment to hosting, and joining an RP. The majority of players don't have it in either case, regardless of how interesting an idea is.

I've been gone so long that I forgot what the status bar was like. It's like coming back to an old apartment, except it's not an apartment anymore, it's just two walls and a lot of heroine addicts.

Nexus' eye twinged when Ren spoke. He grabbed the bridge of his nose and sighed, while Shadra made her way to his side and placed her hands on his arm, standing just barely tall enough to reach his elbow with her head. Nexus pushed her away gently and walked over to Ren. "You really don't remember anything, do you?" Nexus asked, glancing at Ren's chest. "You can relax, for now. We haven't done anything to you, and that man doesn't wish for your death just yet. You're in the tower of Chaos, between the fabric of reality, the Void."

Two V.S. One, A Battle against the elements!

Before Orobo could do anything more, Tiger and Dacer landed at Jenso's side, crouched low and somewhat irritated about what happened earlier. Dacer grasped his bow with one hand and fired a Ki arrow at the dome, but it wasn't able to pierce its rock hard exterior. "Damn it! That arcane concentration is insane!" Dacer shouted, looking over at Jenso. "What-"

Dacer was cut off as Tiger dashed to the side and dodged a single boulder that Orobo launched as soon as Dacer struck his barrier. Dacer wobbled but regained his balanced. "Agh! I can't break that barrier Jenso, it's way too dense!" He looked up at Orobo's giant body projection and grunted. "Maybe your fists will be of some use after all!"

Orobo looked over to Jenso and conjured a grey stone in one of his hands before tossing it in his direction.
Orobo stood silently for a moment. His figure cracked and crumbled as he rose his rocky arm towards Jenso and pointed with a crooked finger made of wood. A low toned growl bellowed from within his core, and he slid his feet apart, bracing himself on the ground. Suddenly, several giant domes made of granite, three of the, rose to protect him, one after another. On top of the biggest dome, one bigger than even Bobba's shop, taking up about a third of the plateau, his body from earlier, torso-up, began to form, glaring down at Jenso with two stone-pressed eyes. The mountain shook briefly, and Orobo prepared to attack.

The woman growled aloud in anger and approached Ren aggressively on all fours, but paused and turned her head towards the back side of the circular room, where a small staircase lead upwards, hugging the wall. A pair of men appeared, walking down the stairs, one wearing a pair of dark grey, loose fitted pants that were barely visible with each step past the covering of his reddish trench coat. The other was familiar, wearing the armored leggings that Nexus had been wearing earlier in the day. It was in fact Nexus, as it became clear as his short blueish hair came into view. The man with him however, was not familiar. He wore a long red trench-coat, a mask just like his allies, and had rough, orange hair that flourished out and hung at each side of his jacket's collar. Nexus reached the bottom of the stairs first and motioned towards Ren with one hand. "Shadra, please," Nexus pleaded, looking at the small, black-draped woman sternly. She stood up on two feet and cleared her throat before backing away and allowing the two men a clear path to Ren.

"Is this all?" The new man asked, approaching Ren slowly. His eyes were a deep red, from the pupil to the sclera, and examined Ren without delay. "I told you, Nexus. I'd abandoned this foolish venture shortly after Shadra's creation. Why are you wasting my time with this?" It was hard to notice, but the red-headed man was holding a blue book in his left hand, keeping it hidden behind his figure. He turned to Nexus and waited for a response. "Are you going to explain yourself?"

"He's worth studying-"

"He's worth nothing. Shadra is a testament to how worthless this child is, is she not? Do you think that I should validate the existence of another void creation, just because you've chosen to express any modicum of curiosity? Preposterous, and once again, a waste of my time." The man glanced at Ren again before turning around and ascending the stairs. "Do what you will with him, I'm going to meet with Ra'Ja'Ka regarding the barrier. Please conclude this drivel as soon as you can, and return to your task, if you would be so kind."

As the man left, Nexus looked at Ren, and then to the floor.
The rock hand slammed against stone and dirt, crumbling to pieces and falling towards Jenso. He dodged the result just in time, with only a few rocks tapping his shoulders and head as they tumbled past. He continued to make his way up, and saw little resistance, finally reaching the plateau, and hopefully, safety.

Now he was above the cloud line. Looking forward, the path was flat and round, with a large set of massive iron doors near the far end. Before he could proceed though, a rocky form rose from the ground, matching Jenso's height, but looking far bulkier, and without a face. Rocks and dirt rotated around the elemental torso that looked like a swirl of orange and black energy, similar to Orobo's meteor in shape and intensity. The elemental's head shifted until a crude set of uneven rocky eyes glowed and looked into Jenso's.

Welcome To The Embassy!

Hours passed, and Jeff's path seemed to grow even less direct than ever. The grass was lush, and the trees were scattered, but he was walking without a real sense of direction. It was just forward to him.

Thankfully, time was kind to him, and on the fourth hour, he saw it. The top of a massive dome, surrounded by smaller buildings, and a line of metal towers that seemed alien to what he was used to. This civilization was more advanced than he could have imagined, but it was a little difficult to tell what it was all about from so far away..
"Don't mention it, fledgling! I'll be seeing you around, you won't be seeing me, not all that often, but be sure, 100% assured if you would, that I will do as I am guided! Ahaha.." Vale spat, skipping off in the opposite direction gleefully. "Until we meet again!"

Jeff was left with a direction now, but where would it lead him? Who knew, especially after the bizarre string of occurrences that'd just transpired. Hopefully he had a bright path ahead of him. Little did he know, the pay ahead was bound to be treacherous..

Jenso barely broke free in time to thrust himself up and through one of Orobo's fingers, onto the mountain side. The edge of the plateau grew closer now, but with so much distance to cover, would he be able to make it? Orobo's hand crumbled beneath him, and another hand sprouted out of the cliff, this one much smaller, but big enough to grab Jenso's entire body if it were successful. It appeared on his left side and reached out, extending forwards with a muscular-looking rocky arm pushing it behind Jenso, in an attempt to grab him right off the rock face.
"Elsewhere, yes. Perhaps I can give you what you seek, though it may be a smidgen too far for a starving boy such as yourself. Hmm, but alone in the wild near the gorge of magic, you'll die anyways?" Vale pulled his sword back and withdrew it. "Head north, north my friend! Look for the guild of heroic stature, Lilian's embassy!"
"You'll answer me! Where did you come from!" The woman hissed angrily, disregarding Ren's remark. "Void! How do you live with Void?"
