Hey remember when this site didn't have 3 tabs in the IC threads? Crazy.

I feel like Myriad Reality is somehow the secret glue holding this entire site together

People like to nudge aside the fact that there's a level of commitment to hosting, and joining an RP. The majority of players don't have it in either case, regardless of how interesting an idea is.

I've been gone so long that I forgot what the status bar was like. It's like coming back to an old apartment, except it's not an apartment anymore, it's just two walls and a lot of heroine addicts.

"That Wind stirrin' up, that aint normal.. You uh.. Magic??" He asked, a gripping his seat a little tighter.
The man looked at Jeff astounded as he used the wind to his advantage. The Truck began moving rather quickly regardless. It seemed that the driver didn't see exactly what had happened.

"Nino? I've heard o' that place... Sorry kid," He paused and pointed into the back seat at Jeff's shoes. "Might be a little rude to ask now, but what kinda shoes are those?"
Jenso's flames climbed Orobo's vine insanely fast, reaching his proxy body and lighting it aflame instantly. The vine that headed for Dacer had been dodged as well, and Dacer followed suit, firing a miniature inferno from his bow and lighting the second vine on fire in quick succession. The two vines burned away quicker than normal, and Orobo swung his body left and right, trying to put out the flames to no avail. The flames began to die down regardless, as the mossy parts of his body burned away.

Jenso's second strike cracked the dome this time, and they didn't seem to re-seal. The side of the dome instead, fell apart, revealing another layer beneath it.

Orobo flung newly spawned rocks in all directions, like a fountain of earth, trying to cover and crush everything around him. Tiger dodged swiftly, and Dacer fired more flaming arrows at Orobo's body, but they didn't seem to have as much of an effect now.
"Ah! Then you came to the right place. But uh, you're on the wrong side of the city!" The man scooted forward and pointed at the empty back seats. "Hop on in. Ah, what's yer name?"
The passenger reeled back from the wack-job inspecting his car and turned to the driver. The truck had no roof, allowing the passenger to stand up and turn to follow Jeff's moves. "It's a er... Truck. Now if you'd kindly explain you're uh, being here?"
As he arrived closer to the city's edge, one of the many towers was close enough to see into. The top floor had several men armed with strange weapons that looked like crossbows, but more metallic and with interesting glowing modules along their sides. They also wore armor that didn't seem familiar to him at all. As he got closer, they all looked down at him cautiously.

The bottom of the tower was surrounded by vehicles, unlike any that Jeff had seen before, and one of them drove right up to his side and halted his progress.

"Hey! Where do you think you're goin'?" A man said from the drivers side window of the SUV-looking vehicle.
"You're like us," Shadra cut in abruptly. Nexus shot her an intimidating glance, but the threat in his posture melted away when she turned her head towards him, looking as if she'd no idea what was wrong with her statement. "Void Creation"

"Shadra brought you here as soon as I mentioned this to Yzeira- That Red-Clad fellow that just left. She was snooping as per usual, and before we'd come to any conclusions, she fetched you and brought you here. I took advantage of the situation and presented Yzeira with an opportunity to see for himself that people like us can exist outside of this tower... I didn't think he'd show zero interest for your being, though."

"He's confused," Shadra said, pointing at Ren right afterwards. "He thought he understood how our Void works. He's frustrated." Nexus sighed and nodded.

"Your existence, in his eyes, may be identical to our own. If you came to be through some other method, though... Well, save it to say, you wouldn't be allowed to roam freely right now."
interested
Tentative interest, will come back when I'm less busy.
Jenso's fist struck hard against the marble, but it was no use. As the grey stone hurdled past him and off the mountain, his fist struck a solid wall of pure magical energy. That granite was dense, too dense. Dacer circled around the giant dome and fired arrow after arrow at it in futility. Even after charging a blast of ki, it had no effect on Orobo's barrier. "Shit!" Dacer shouted, "I don't know how we're gonna deal with this!"

Orobo's proxy body aimed a hand at Dacer and Jenso, and fired a giant vine at both of them. Both were covered in spikes, and lashed about chaotically as they soared forward.
